I dropped by during weekday afternoon. The park was very educational. Multiple buildings on site, most of which are inaccessible. I did not go hiking because I brought my little ones.

Nice ranch to visit. Walking from Serafix road, Alamo. They are looking for volunteer docents for school tours.🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝

This was a unique place to visit where it's a former ranch now converted into a park! Still has remnants and old equipment and such on display. Also the goats are cute 😊

My partner and I love this location!

It's not super far out of the way to get to and is rarely crowded.

Dog-on-leash friendly.

Definitely recommended for anyone in the walnut creek area looking for a nice hike with beautiful views of nature.

Lots of trails to explore starting from the ranch. Start early while cool and maybe you'll see a coyote or two...

This a great place to visit with the kids. A fairly good selection of farm animals to view. It's also one of the best trailheads to start a hike on Shell Ridge and maybe even into the Diablo Foothills Regional park.

Wonderful location as a trailhead for so many possible hikes in the area. With displays of past agriculture tools that can interest youngsters as well as adults, and a nice shade with picnic tables, it is the best for a family or friends get together time.

A cool little ranch to check out. There are a few historical buildings and even a small farm you can go in with a few goats and chickens.

There is an area where you can go in with the goats, plus the farmhouse, which is an interesting historical ranch home. But the best part is all of the open space and trails. We spent a lovely afternoon walking all over.

A wonderful excursion for family and friends. The former cattle ranch stands as it did at the turn of the last century. Complete with chickens, roosters, goats, and sheep, you can walk around with the animals and even pet them. If you love hiking this is a great spot. Trails offer breathtaking views of rolling hills. Its free!

In winter months, Ranger Bruce opens the blacksmithing shed and you can make a hook for 5 bucks! (by appointment only)

My Girlfriends mother was instrumental in setting this up after her only son took his life. It was a good way to remember him and highlights one of the pioneering families that settled here. It was a tough existence, and they survived here for generations, and I remember Dale Borges and we grew up together here in the Northgate area in the same grade. I recall his father being so strict as to shave his head when he'd done wrong.

A great place to take little kids to pet chickens, goats, and pigs. There you can see Old Farm Equipment and on special days they have demonstrations of blacksmith shops another old farm equipment. The historic house is it great to peek inside the windows.

The road that leads to the ranch is wide enough for only one car, but the ranch itself is worth the road struggle. The setting is very relaxing and it's wonderful to see machinery, & furniture from the past.

Great hikes in the wide open spaces...you want hills...its here..you want flatlands...its here too...always the chance you will run into cattle grazing so close to you that you can literally reach out and touch them...excellent also for mountain biking...
