Lime Ridge Open Space

Huge number of amazing hikes with multiple trails, ups and downs. Good parking available at the bottom. There is not much shade so choose the right weather to go. The views are super good.

This place is blessed! The first time at the top of this mountain I got shocked as how beautiful it is, I mean, you are still in the city, easy access and you can literally disconnect from everything and stay in peace over there! The Sunset is gorgeous and not crowded at all, so is perfect! If you never been there, Just go!!!

Love this open space and hiking in it. There are different ways to go to make your hike longer or shorter. And people are usually very polite about dogs and passing them, etc. Bathrooms and water fountain at the house up the hill from the parking lot. And they have a dog wear fountain too!!

Great hiking trail for an hour full of cardio. Due to recent rains, trail is full of mud and washed out slides. Great views of Mt. Diablo and Concord/Pleasant Hill suburbs. You do have decent number of benches to sit around, though not clean enough 😉

Totally one of the most beautiful spots I've seen in the area. Granted, I visited just a few days after a storm rolled through, but the hills were vibrant green and everything was bursting with life. Hardly anyone around. Easy to get away from the sound of traffic. Just beautiful. Easy to get lost in it, in a good way.

Awesome scenery from the hill's summit! Remember to pack plenty of water and a hat as shade is scarce up there.

Great place for hiking and biking. Several fireroads and single tracks for a fun ride. Great views from many trails.

It is a hidden gem. The best part is less traffic and the slope is steep enough for kids like 3-5 years old. I also think if the City make a dog run, it gonna be a more valuable and a more attractive space for residents in this area.

It’s so pretty at sunrise and sunset! It’s also dog and bike friendly. I saw some signs about ticks on the trails south of Ygnacio Valley Rd but haven’t had any issues with them.

Lime Ridge Open Space is beautiful and is very nice to do a wide arrangement of different activities. Lime Ridge is an amazing place to exercise by walking, running and an incredible place to walk your dog. Lime Ridge has a great open area which is nice for flying a kite or letting your pet run around. This open space has beautiful views and gorgeous scenery. I completely love this open area and enjoy visiting this location.

I love this place! Watch out for the bikers riding through. There's trails for bikers and then there's trails for pedestrians. Though, I don't see any rules stating pedestrians can't go on the biking trails, but you just have to be careful and look ahead. It was a great location for taking photos of my dogs!

Great hikes with dog, alone, wi friends and family. Great model airplane flying. Nature, beauty, bird watching. Beautiful, peaceful, flat, uphill, downhill, as far as eye can see.

Best place for a beautiful easy hike. Not too steep for long distances. Spring time is beautiful with green hills and flowers.

Came here to watch the solar eclipse. At it was a bit cloudy, but that actually made it better for taking pictures of the eclipse.

Great open space and views of mt. Diablo and Walnut Creek. Best in the spring because rain turns all the grass bright green.

As a pet photographer and avid hiker, I'm always looking for hiking spots that will get me the best of both worlds. Lime Ridge definitely doesnt disappoint! For being right in the middle of the burbs, it's definitely a breath of fresh air.

Sunrise here is not bad, to say the least. Conveniently located area to get a little exercise, for those of us in Concord or Walnut Creek who need a side of beautiful natural scenery with our walk/jog/ride. Also can't wait to take my guy here- can only imagine it's tres romantique taking in the sunset from the top of one of these hills.

Outstanding open space for those that really want a simple no frills series of trails in beautiful hills. Watch out for cows in certain areas, and be aware that many many people do NOT observe the guidelines for where dogs can go, and ESPECIALLY where dogs are not supposed to be off leash. Also realize that there are four or five diffrrent areas all titled "Limeridge" that span a number of distinct plots on both sides of Ygnacio Valley road. So it is not just one open area. Occasional snakes and a coyote or two so keep an eye open and enjoy!

Pretty good in sunny day. Pretty sunny and have very good views. The trail is not that long, 2+ miles one way.
