Great little spot in downtown Walnut Grove. Atmosphere was great, wait staff were friendly and available when needed but respected our conversations and the food was delicious.

The baklava with a Greek coffee really made the meal.

I was here Sunday morning with my parents when they opened. I never knew there was a Mediterranean spot here in Walnut Creek. I'd always drive by and I'm glad I saw this. The waitress was helpful because my mom has celiac disease and they were helpful on what dish she can eat without having to interact a problem. For those have gluten free issues, don't you worry. This was the best food I can rate. The pita bread and gyro meat was delicious. I enjoyed every bite of it. Street parking is available but it is enforced so be sure to pay the meter. They have indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar in the middle. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Delicious! I had them remove the head of the fish. The dish is plated in layers of sautéed spinach, onions and roasted potatoes that’s off to the side.

The fish grilled, with beautiful charred marks was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. It was flaky and melted in my mouth.

The sangria paired well with my dining experience, and eating outside was an added touch.

We've come to Opa for years. The food has always been delicious and authentic, generous portions and super fresh ingredients and super friendly and welcoming staff. The sangria is so good. One of our favorite spots in Walnut Creek!

We hit Opa! for a Friday Date night this weekend and it did not disappoint. I was a bit disappointed when my wife chose Greek for dinner, since most places tend to be a bit mundane with the menu selections and a tad greasy with the food. But then we went to Opa!

Let's start with the cocktails, something I don't normally associate with Greek restaurants. Opa! had a very interesting and varied cocktail and wine selection. I ordered an Argonaut - a rum & falernum version of a Mule or Dark & Stormy. I've been using Falernum to make sours at home (it is an allspice flavored liqueur) but never would have thought to pair it with rum for a Dark & Stormy. But I will now. The only disappointment was no copper mug, but I'll get over that. One taste and my wife bailed on her white wine and ordered that for her second drink. I switched to red for my meal, and they had a great Zin by the glass (Seghesio), which many restaurants don't offer. Winner!

We had a saganaki appetizer (I mean, the place is called Opa!) and sopped up all the cheese and lemon with some very warm and puffy pita slices. Next was the green Greek salad. They were kind enough to split it for us, and add olives and beets to mine. Excellent!

We went pretty old school for our main courses, after all those apps. We both got pitas - a Gyro for me and Falafel for her. Served on the same puffy pita bread, with a generous helping of "Opa fries" as a side. The fries had greek vinaigrette dressing and feta cheese crumbled on top. Quite tasty! The pitas had a good size portion of protein, onions, tomato and tzatzki sauce. No leftovers this night!

Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was prompt without ever feeling rushed. The place was busy, considering we were there fairly early on a Friday night. We just missed the happy hour, which looked to have some pretty good deals.

In all, we enjoyed Opa! There were so many traditional and non-traditional options on the menu that looked great, so I'll sure we will be back and mix it up a bit more next time.

Great Friday lunch at Opa Walnut Creek. Went to Greece recently with my family and was looking for something authentic! The tzatziki was delicious with fresh pita and loved the Greek salad! The service was great as we were chatty and the server gave us time to review the menu while also enjoying the lovely patio! Will go back!

Love this place. Great atmosphere, live music, servers are awesome and the food is amazing. I always have the grand opa sangria and I get the bougatsa for dessert. The flaming cheese and the Lamb chops are to die for!

Words really can't describe our experience. As a lover of Greek food, I came in excited to try something new and left excited to come back. We ate family style and ordered the salmon, lamb chops, chicken lettuce wraps, greek coffee, lava cake, bread pudding and baklava. And if you're wondering, it still wasn't enough...we would have kept eating if we had the capacity. Perfect for one or with family/friends. Customer service also left nothing to be desired, she was patient and helpful. I wish I remembered her name because she deserves a shout out!

My best friend and I tried a new brunch place in Walnut Creek, we were super excited because we had never tried the restaurant’s brunch. I had never been there at all, so I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was! I had the eggs Benedict with steak and home fries with peppers, onions and feta! I haven’t had a good brunch like that on this side of the water in a while! I can’t wait to come back! Service was excellent, cute bar area and sitting area.

Make sure you're hungry when coming here. Huge portions and was full for days. Gyro was great and so were the dips.

Friendly staff, accommodating to my 2 year old and perfectly placed in the downtown area. The flaming cheese and zucchini cakes starters are amazing!!!!

The gyro pita was great. All the vegetables are fresh and freshly prepared. My family loved it. The gyro nachos plate was well executed. Staff was way more attentive than most restaurants at this price point too.

It would be cold if you sit next to the door I'd imagine so if care about that come early or get a reservation requesting not to sit there.

I've had gyro at a lot of fast food type places and this completely destroyed that. Way better seasoning and texture than I've ever had and at $14 for the gyro pita it's barely more expensive.

Notes: Lotta tvs with sports games on. Two private restrooms (well kept and looked new). There is a bar. At dinner service the atmosphere was not loud, I could easily hear. The chairs are lower to ground than I'm used to, if I was bringing someone older I'd ask for a booth seat.

Opa was an experience me and my love came here and brought our fox. The experience was better than the food we always have a good time. It was the falafel bites for us my partner is from Israel so trust me we know good falafel and it was not authentic. The dalmades were decent and zucchini cakes just wish it had a kick. Beautiful ambiance.

Food was absolutely amazing!! We got the fava dip and gyros and they were delicious. Service was a bit slow despite the restaurant being pretty empty but would still recommend
