Family Dentistry of Walnut Creek

Just had my initial visit and teeth cleaning at Family Dentistry of Walnut Creek and the staff was very friendly and helpful when I called. I had left a request on their website to set up an appointment and they were prompt to call me back and continued to call even though it took me several times before I eventually called them back! During the visit my hygienist, Erin, was thorough and helpful with all my questions. Dr. Schmedding came in but was very busy so he asked if he could reschedule another time to meet with me to answer all of my questions. I have an issue with my jaw alignment and I appreciated his willingness and intentionality to make sure he had time to give me a thorough consult instead of rushing to keep his schedule. Afterwards Erin walked me back to the front desk and had the receptionist take the dentist consult off my claim and reschedule me for another day with that appointment. Overall, I felt very well taken care of!

The entire staff is always warm and friendly. Their office is well kept with some really nice views. I've learned to take better care of my teeth and gums because of their dedication to patient education. If I do need dental work done they make me more comfy with videos or music and excellent care. I trust them with my dental health.

This is an exceptionally welcoming and talented group of professionals. Dr. Schmedding, his staff, and the hygienists that work in the office are all gracious and adroit. I didn't think I'd ever be excited to go to the dentist before I began visiting their office, but I suppose there's a first time for everything.

My husband and I have been coming to Dr. Schmedding for a couple years now and we won’t ever leave!

This is a wonderful practice where ever single person on the team is always on their game. We were referred by another patient and close friend - her family has been patients for many, many years.

On top of being a fantastic dentist, Dr. Schmedding also offers clear aligners. It was affordable and convenient - all services performed in his office! I’ve just finished the program and couldn’t be happier with the results.

I had the unfortunate circumstance of going through extreme tooth pain during this covid 19 crisis where so many doctors were closed and unable to see me. Family Dentistry, Dr. Schmedding, and his staff welcomed me with open arms and took my appointment immediately. They followed all safety protocol and still managed to evaluate me and connect me with a root canal specialist with haste. They are arguably the best dental staff I've ever worked with and recommend them with all of my heart.

I have been seeing Dr. Walker since 1991 and he is absolutely the best dentist I've ever had. Once when in pain on a Sunday, he met me at his office to address my need. He is the kind of dentist who cares about his patients. Recently Dr. Schmeedding joined his practice as Walker eases into retirement. Dr. Walker picked a real winner to take over his practice. Dr. Schmeedding shows the same concern for his patients. I've found him to be quite knowledgeable and I would and have recommended this office to any who want a great dentist. A+

An EXCELLENT dental practice! From a simple, but thorough, cleaning to crowns to cosmetic orthodontia, Dr. Schmedding and every one in the practice does a GREAT job!
