This place is great! I got a pound of Ahi Tuna, 3/4 pound of Himachi, two frozen containers of seaweed salad and a bottle of green tea for a little over the price of a pound of Ahi Tuna from Oke Poke. This stuff is cheaper and better and is helping me with my Poke problem :)

The Himachi was like pure butter. The Ahi Tuna is amazing. All the goodies you need to make sushi or poke bowls. Awesome sushi on Saturdays.

I've shopped here since 1975. I'm Hawaaian mix and left islands back in '74. This shop carries most of what I need: poi, saimin, ahi, taegu, kimchee, ume, shoyu, diamond cream crackers, guava jelly/jam, lau lau, kalua pig, seeds, etc.

This is an excellent little store selling primarily Japanese groceries. There is a complete selection of refrigerated foods, fresh fish, vegetables, canned, bottled and packaged comestibles. The store also carries some crockery and cutlery. The store is small with narrow aisles, but it's a joy to search for interesting items. Parking may seem limited in front, but there is a large lot in back accessed through a very narrow driveway. This store saves us a long drive to San Francisco. We love this place and the owner is very friendly.

Small tightly packed market that has a myriad of wonderful Asian and Hawaiian goodies. They had my favorite miso in the cooler section and they had a variety of Hawaiian Sun products that I had not seen before. It's a voyage of discovery that is well worth the trip.

No need to go to the big box store of essentials. They have everything and more. Love this place!

I stop in here at least once a week for various things. It has a small foot print but is pretty well stocked at all times. They do sell sushi grade fish as well as meat for sukiyaki. The have a few vegetables and I must admit I like getting them here than some grocery stores, especially the green onions, for whatever reason the ones here are top notch. If you are looking for some Japanese groceries, or even some Korean and Chinese ones this is a great place to stop in.

A treasure! From Hawai'i, and did some ryu gakuse in Japan. This small place reminds me of a small shoten on Pi'ikoi. It's gone now, which makes me even happier I can go shop here. And one of the owners is a regular at the local Obon Matsuri. A treasure!

This is pretty much the only game in town when it comes to Asian food store. They usually have fresh sushi grade tuna available and pretty much all the staple items for making Japanese food. There are some Thai food in Vietnamese and Chinese items as well

This little mom & pop store has been here for decades (no change), and specializes in authentic Japanese food and produce. This shack is reminiscent of the many little stores in any Japanese town or city back streets. I personally love the atmosphere and selection.

I love that Walnut Creek has a home for Hawaiian and Japanese products! With products at every square inch, it’s so exciting to go into this little store and find new things every time. Service is also great! Be prepared for tight parking. Though there is always a spot!

Very cute little shop. I didn't know this little gem existed until 5 months into living in the area. Great selection of asian foods (including Hawaiian) as well as some dishes and cookware/utensils. Very friendly staff as well!

People working there are helpful & friendly. Market has frozen food area, a small fresh veggie area & everything else i want for Japanese cooking. Additionally, they have some non-grocery items from Japan, including a long textured washcloth that I love (made from nylon, i think).

Small, yet humble store. I found some really good Asian food snacks that I could not normally find in 99 Ranch. Parking can be a hassle, but nevertheless this store has a decent amount of selection of Asian items and groceries.

I found this hidden gem recently and absolutely love it! The prices are very affordable and it's unfortunate I wasn't aware of this place earlier since grocery stores charge double and sometimes triple for items such as baby corn, chili oil, ECT.
The owner is very sweet and keeps his store very organized and clean.
You can find produce, meat, refrigerated items, and shelf items.
Parking is in the back or if you live in the neighborhood I would suggest walking like I do!

Best little store to buy real Japanese foods as well as other Asian food products that Japanese people like to eat. They have items there unavailable at the larger Asian stores such as Ranch 99. Help keep them in business. They are a blessing to the local population.
