Santa Monica Parking Enforcement

First: no one respects/hears you when your complaints are racist, so grow up small minds. This review is from a homeowner. I really appreciate parking enforcement. They respond quickly and keep our neighborhood free from loud bass, obnoxious lyrics, garbage thrown onto streets, and the general bad behavior of SMC students. If you could only clean up your mess and use headphones, you'd not have to face all of the permit parking zones that surround SMC. You brought it on yourselves with bad behavior, now you have to live with long walks to school.

Parking enforcement helps us use our own streets, thank you. Parking enforcement gets homeless people and their motor homes off of our streets, thank you. Our neighborhoods are safer, quieter, and more resident friendly, thank you.

If you are an attractive women (or guy in some cases) then they discard the ticket. Can submit many handicap zone violations with proof (workers, residents, among others who don't and never had an handicapped card or plate) and they say they can't do anything since the parking enforcement officers didn't see it. Maybe just send one out and they would clearly see it.

Officer Kent needs to be retrained worst attitude ever bearly got out of the car don’t know you need permits to park everywhere and she sees me coming back to the car not even 30 seconds after leaving the car because I see her approach my car and started writing a ticket asked her if I can move she said no you need a permit

I was working Uber Eats and I parked my in a red zone with emergency lights on for just less than five to pick the order from the restaurant and Santa Monica parking enforcement gave me a ticket. I would say it is very hard to Uber Eats in Santa Monica area since they are very strict in their parking legality.

gave me a ticket without actually giving me a ticket. found out i was ticketed months later when a notice arrived in the mail. the fine for the ticket i never received was double by then. when i looked up the address of the violation it was where my girlfriend does yoga. apparently they issued me a ticket for sitting in my car with the engine running, in a red zone, waiting to pick up my girlfriend.

If you’re going to write a parking ticket in a roadside parking space then a ‘no parking’ sign should be clearly visible. Apparently it’s reserved for a tour bus that never comes. 60+ dollar within 5 minutes and I offered to move the car as they were writing it. I can afford it so the ticket became my pass, whatever. Can everybody that just wanted to get a taco and thought they scored a great spot? Predatory

Update: $68 is probably an appropriate citation price given the cost of parking in the area but please do something to properly warn people. Perhaps I’m dense but I watched many others follow suit so it’s an issue.

No rules of law are followed here - if you just watch it depends on area who n what they are where? No winning read and photos of signs which are all different- making it impossible not to ger ticketed if your a,resident tickets are a way of life here ? No spaces even with a permit?????

City of Santa Monica Parking Violations Bureau is the WORST government's agency same as many other's usa.gov agencies that I had the "PRIVILEGES" to encounter..They issued 2 tickets on the same car that was parked at 1 spots at 2 different addresses, 2 different times and unable to provide the name of the 2nd officer who issued the ticket..What a lol jokes, utterly STUPIDEST and SHAMEFULLY of usa's governments systems could be and continue to be so..Not only that, they had the audacity to send multiple letters HARRASSING to collect payment's via collections agencies and requested for appearance of Hearing with no times and locations of where the Hearing would be at..Assumingly, on the same location of the "fabricated ticket" with a "ghost" officials..LOL..👎 on usa's government's systems..

Very confusing signs that are clear as mud and do not make sense. Seems like it was done on purpose to collect more money from parking tickets. Also, $63 for a parking ticket is excessive. Impossible to get ahold of anyone to contest the ticket. I wish I could give them less than 1 star.
