Urban Plates

Very nice vibes, this place is super chilled. We decided to sit outside, where it's also dog friendly. There is plenty of heating options, including some fire pits.
The food was really tasty, nicely cooked and fresh. The presentation on the plates, however lacked a little bit. It seemed like they whammed the food on the plates :)
It all goes down the same way though, so not that relevant.
Parking can be tricky, as this is mainly a pedestrian area. If you're lucky, you might be able to find some free parking close by, otherwise you can use the multi-storey garage on w jefferson, and it seems like the business you attend in the area should be able to validate your parking ticket.

As a regular customer who comes here for lunch the food, protion sizes, and prices help me get through the day when I eat here. Lots of different options available plus a subscription to help make the food more affordable. The staff has constantly been supportive in providing service and it is noticed and much appreciated.

At the time of me writing I wanted to thank Tomas for the cookie and the service provided!
And of course thank you to the entire staff for providing quality service and food!

Really high quality food for a casual experience. Had the grilled steak and shrimp (surf and turf), along with a delicious mango tart and two GIANT cookies! Evelyn was great at the register and made sure the order was correct after taking it down. Really great option, that has lasted the longest in all of Playa Vista.

Delicious savory food. I had the sea bass and my companion had the shrimp entree. All sides were prepared with satisfactory texture, style, and flavor. The dining set-up was common and cafeteria like. However, one long elevated table was a plus.

I was quite surprised with the food. I got the chilli glazed tofu and I didn't know it came with bread but it was great portions and spice level was perfect. My friend got the Moroccan chicken and he said it was great as well.

When I think about Urban Plates, I think about Noelia. She exemplifies the meaning of customer experience. In fact, she puts the N in customer experieNce.

Truly some of the finest hospitality, let alone the food is something to be remembered. The chocolate chip cookie is quite good, in fact quite fine, and the atmosphere is unbeatable for the price it is you are paying.

All in all, a terrific dining experience for middle class folk.

Thomas took my order and was very patient with me, it was my first time there and I loved it! The food quality it 5/5 the atmosphere is fancy-ish so it feels like I’m fine-dining. Plus the service is excellent, it feels good to pay comfortable prices for high-quality food and exceptional service. Thank You Thomas 😊❤

Great healthy food options and real good quality. Tomas was super helpful when I was confused on what to get, lot of options. Went with the steak, grass fed apparently.

Very good.
The food was excellent although they over tosted(burnt) my bread.
Both entrée were delicious.
Had the mango tart dessert, very interesting.

And for such a nice place was a bit disappointed the bathroom smelled nasty.

I come here during my break for work all of the time. Tomas is great. He always helps me with the menu and picking new items to try. The food is excellent here. Probably the best spot for food on the Runway

Very pleased with everything here. Outdoor seats around the fire made the night! Shout out to Tomas for the great recommendations!

Healthy food with no frills.
They serve healthy food: protein, vegies and some carbo. All come really fast and they taste really good!

They also have burgers and sandwiches which we will try next time.

Great food, but prices have increased above the average inflation rate. Sorry.

But I've been a guest for many years and have seen this nice eating place develop.

My advice: offer a couple of lower priced menus not to lose too many guests going next door.

Tomas was super efficient and patient, thanks for the cookies as well! I always enjoy the braised beef and mushrooms, my favorite plate! The ambiance is always nice and I love the coconut lime refresher.

It was my 1st time here and it definitely won't be my last! You can literally taste the freshness in the food here. I love beets but also love grilled chicken salads. I asked the lovely young lady, Noelia if I could get beets with the grilled chicken salad and voila!

I was just expecting a beet or two but received much more ( salad pic below) .
My first bites of the yellow and red beets were Heavenly! The beets were flavorful, throughout, FRESH and beautiful! The chicken was grilled to perfection and the salad greens were delicious with the house made dressing🤌🏿😋! I had a lot left over and Noelia helped me with a container to take home 🥰 My eyes wandered to the dessert case😱 The hummingbird cake caught my attention. When Noelia told me the flavors in it, I immediately purchased two.

On top of the friendly service and awesome experience, NOELIA gave me 2 chocolate chip hospitality cookies 🍪 🍪 . When I got home my teen was hungry. I happily gave her the rest of the salad, hummingbird cake and cookie! She agreed that everything was scrumptious 😋. I made a lil soup to complement the salad. We live rt. by Dodgers stadium but will make the trip back to this location for the food, ambiance and NOELIA 💖

This is my local Urban Plates, and I’ve been coming here for years. The staff, led by Tomas, are fantastic. They always want to give you the most comfortable experience at urban plates. Plus, the food is delicious. 🤌🏼

Good here is always EXCELLENT and Thomas is a great host and server. He was polite, patient, and courteous and the food was wonderful. Love this chain but this location really rocks.

My lunch here was delicious! I ordered the sea bass - it was tender and juicy, and the hollandaise sauce was tasty. The mashed potatoes were perfection. No gravy needed. The Brussels sprouts were too twangy for my taste. But, shoutout to Jocelynn for the FREE hospitality cookie. It was so good. This made my day for real. 🙌🏽😋

I love eating here! Delicious food that always feels hearty and warm. Would definitely recommend. Tomas and team was super helpful and welcoming.

Exquisite food for reasonable pricing. Staff is incredible, really attentive and know the menu very well. Was helped out by Tomas- very professional and friendly. If you're in the area I highly recommend the grass fed beef.

I'm sure everything else is delicious as well. This was my 2nd visit here, I'm sure I'll be back again. My grandmother from Ohio really loved the food as well.
