Extraordinary place, phenomenal architecture, wonderful garden, wide views and beautiful collections in an amazing design. This place has a great vibe, you can spend hours studying everything they have here. Here you will also find a bistro and a cafe, many interesting corners where you will lose track of time. This place belongs to all art lovers. However, the journey here is also exceptional, thanks to the Getty Center Tram you can get here quickly and easily from your car. The museum is free of charge, you pay for parking only.

This place is simply amazing! There is plenty of parking but it does get very busy. The architecture and artwork is beautiful. The view is great. I would recommend you go to this place two hours before sunset so you get to see this place with light and nighttime. On your way back to the parking lot. I would walk down instead. The stroll is actually nice. Without a doubt you have to check this place when you are in the Los Angeles area!

I love visiting the Getty. They have wonderful self-guided tour options thanks to a free comprehensive app. I really appreciated the "mood journeys"to guide me through a particular theme, complete with activities to keep me focused and grounded in the art.
You could really spend the whole day here. The gardens are beautiful with the sound of the water flowing to the central pool. The lawns are open, so picnicking options abound.
But if you want a special experience, choose the restaurant. They have a nice wine selection, excellent olive and thyme bread and pats of the best butter. The scallops small plate is to die for.
If you still have energy, opt for taking the 3/4 mile hike down the hill to the parking garage. But be careful walking alone, as this area is known for mountain lions. But if you're lucky and quiet, you might spot some deer or rabbits on your way!

Oh what a place! I wish we had more time here, the lookout from the open space over the ocean is a calming presence. The ride up and down is pretty interesting too and you can hike up or down too. The lines for the tram can be long so be prepared for that. I would highly recommend doing this over sunset which adds to the charm

It's an excellent museum located on the top of a hill. It has excellent exhibits, free tours, and free admission. Friendly staff. The panoramic view of the LA area from the different terraces is unique. Strongly recommend staying until sunset. Also, to take a walk on the garden. The museum is extremely educational for all ages. It has plenty of walking space.

The Getty Center was fabulous. We spent a couple hours here and were only able to explore the West and South buildings, which were both filled with great art. I found the architecture of the center as impressive as the art it housed. The center also offers an impressive view of the surrounding area. I plan to visit again. It's the type of place that should be taken in at a leisurely pace, and shouldn't be rushed. Be sure to make a reservation prior to your visit. Parking was $20. Enjoy.

Visited the Getty 10am Saturday morning. Get your free tickets in advance online. Parking garage was $25. Then jump on the tram to take you up the hill to the museum. It's an enormous place, spread out over many acres of multi level buildings, pathways, sculpture gardens. Many artists are represented, Rembrandt, van Gogh, Manet, the biggest names go on and on. Beautiful works in porcelain, silver and about every artistic media you can think of. Very impressive place. Try asking the docents a question, some are truly into the work and quite informative. Well worth a visit.

It's a great place to visit in LA. So many exhibitions to see and enjoy. Great paintings from famous painters. Make sure you allocate at least 4 hours+. Tram is fun too. They have a great restaurant as well.

This place is fantastic. Very intriguing art is displayed portraying many historic events, as well as the occasional statue of a naked person (security guard laughed when I took a picture of one of these statues). The building itself is beautiful, and the tram ride up to the building from the parkade is also a fun experience. I love the checkered floor that is shown in one of my pictures. If you’re in LA and appreciate visual things then I’d say this place is a must visit.

A large beautiful museum, definitely worth visiting. It's necessary to reserve a free ticket in advance. At the entrance, you'll be greeted by a shuttle train, beautiful and clean. After that, you'll enter a museum spread across a vast territory. The museum has free guides, and umbrellas are strategically placed everywhere, a cool solution, as you often step out onto the terrace, where you have an unbelievably beautiful view of Los Angeles. This museum is one of my top places, which I visit frequently, and I find it to be an effective way to relax. There are many places where you can enjoy delicious food.

Pretty seemless process parking, then going up through security, taking the tram and then getting there. This place really looked like a utopia, it was on top of the hill, all the buildings were clean and white/tan, amazing views, the garden/grass was really nice, fountain was all connected. We first hit up the anatomy exhibit, it was cool but very small. Then I realized all the exhibits were pretty small compared to the other museums I've been to. Everything was chill but I wasn't really interested in the European paintings cause I've seen so many. I was super interested in the outside, we saw so many views. I 100% would have brought food up and had a picnic.

Absolutely stunning property with beautiful architecture and views overlooking LA. The museum had a nice variety of exhibits that change periodically. We spent a total of 2.5 hours there but could have easily spent much more time! It’s recommended to register online for timed entry and a number of people did not know to do so but it wasn’t an issue.

Love, love, love The Getty! I have to visit every time I come to L. A. There is always a new collection of art to appreciate, but honestly, for me, it is the actual architecture that I enjoy even more! Beautiful views from every angle, convenient areas to just sit and relax or people watch and, of course, the gardens are just amazing any time of the year. Even the tram ride up to the plaza is a pleasant prelude to the day.

The museum is free to go, but they charge you $25 for parking. They ask you to reserve beforehand the entrance on their website.
The place is amazing. The buildings are impressive, super clean, and well taken care of.
The staff is really helpful and nice. You can walk all the buildings, and each one has different things, some paints, others' sculptures, etc.

I enjoy the Getty Center very much. I always go and see the Irises first. We checked out the photography exhibit this time and it was interesting. The garden was closed due to the rain the previous day. It's a great spot to bring people visiting.

FREE for admission, only need to pay parking fee $20. It’s nice to spend a half day here and if the weather is good, can go around the garden with friends and family.

Even they don’t charge admission fee but make sure you have reserved spots in advanced online!

I also want to shout out to the Getty that they provided umbrellas for those who don’t like sun exposure too much.

It's a really cool place! Entry is free, I just had to register for admission on their website beforehand and schedule a time to visit.
Took the tramway to get to the museum and you get a nice view of the city on the way there.
Wish I had more time to spend there.

Free ticket. Should book ticket 2-3 days in advance if you plan to visit on weekend. Plenty of parking space but it’ll cost you $20 for the whole day. It gets really traffic inside during weekend evening, so try to leave a bit early than others would be great. The arts were super varied. Check the map in advance to find your area pf interest and spend time there. The garden is beautiful, hot, and scenic spot, so don’t forget to spare some time for that

One for adults or children over the age of 12yrs. Amazing views of Santa Monica and L.A in the distance. Beautiful buildings and gardens. cool and fancy art. Great iconic tram ride and its Free. you only need to pay for parking and make sure you BOOK AHEAD, as there's no on the gate tickets. Freeway traffic can be well typically californian so give yourself plenty of time to arrive and park within your allocated time slot.
Epic location.

Great art installation with immaculate grounds. The outdoor garden isn’t very big, but combined with the sweeping views it is awesome! Plenty of places to sit with shade to enjoy a nice day. The cafe outside near the entrance had a wonderful breakfast burrito plus many breakfast options if you decide to head over earlier than opening.
