R+D Kitchen

This place runs a tight ship. If you make a reservation, make sure you have your whole party there at the time of the reso. They have great food and service, and to have that you need a tight ship so kudos to the team there. Open kitchen concept is very nice with some friendly chefs. The little bird (and creamy polenta😮‍💨) were amazing and the banana cream pie was quite literally the icing on top. The Pupp approves.

There was a group of about eight of us when we stopped at R+D kitchen. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food came out fast as well. The crispy chicken sandwich and it was huge enough for leftovers. The cookie was also phenomenal. I would recommend checking out R+D Kitchen if you've never been and would love to come back.

Excellent location, service and food! We walked in just before 9pm on Halloween and they sat us even though they were closing at 9pm. We were not rushed and the quality of our entrees were 10/10! Great value for what you get! Salmon was superb & Ahi tuna salad was outstanding.

As always, great food (tonight the yummy breaded chicken sandwich and slaw), great service and great atmosphere. We love the music, the lighting, and even though the noise level is a bit higher than we prefer, we'll still keeping coming back. High recommend!

This is a great place with a fun atmosphere for a date or friend dinner. I love how the menu has both entrees or a bunch of substantial smaller plates (not appetizers) that can be combined to make a meal out of. The deviled eggs and Brussel sprouts are menu staples and the meatloaf is my favorite

Everyone should try the CHICKEN MEATBALL! The combination of three types of sauces - cream, cheese or mustard(not sure), barbeque - and the chicken meatballs were exceptional. Their cheese burger was also amazing thanks to perfectly cooked medium-rare patty and fresh veggies. The portion of the burger was huge enough to share. Considering the portion, they aren't overpriced.

On top of that, their ambience was great, and service was decent. I highly recommend this place both for a date night and family gathering.

Additional information: it wasn't that hard to find street parking on Saturday night. As it is a popular restaurant, we had to wait 40 mins on Saturday night around 6:30pm. Having said that, it's worth waiting!

The shrimp Louie was huge! came with 4 jumbo pieces.

This place just breathe service and quality. And that's what you get when you go here. A tips is to try the chicken sandwich , and don't forget to order a fresh Margarita . Margaritas are amazing. Topped with their house-made sweat and sour makes them so delicious.

Gets very busy after 5pm weekdays, and no reservations by phone. I enjoyed the sandwich-of-the-day which was the Rubenesque. I asked for the coleslaw on the side and shared it. Excellent coleslaw.

Great casual upscale restaurant with great service and food.

We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and lunch. I enjoyed the piped in jazz music. I loved my gin and tonic. My husband enjoyed his Perfect Martini and his Manhattan.

I really loved the crunch and flavor of the Asian Noodle Salad. My husband enjoyed his Petrole Sole!

I will definitely come back here again!

Tasty. Fresh. Friendly. Class. Enjoyed a couple of very good meals here. Roast chicken cooked perfectly with a delicious salad. Also the crispy chicken sandwich, which is a real showpiece. Service outstanding. Prices are worth the quality. I'll be back.

Amazing service ! Servers always checking on you and making sure everything is good. Clean and dark classy atmosphere. The food was a small selection of typical American food such as burgers and sandwiches but they were well presented and had large portions. Excellent tea. The veggies burger was crumbly but had a nice texture and flavor.

Easy bar food and good drinks. They may want to add a few Rosé to their wine menu bc they only have one on the menu. Great Chx Sandwich! Great service!
Parking is a lil tough, try to get a spot in their tiny parking lot in the back.

The cheeseburgers are AMAZING (with bread or protein style)!!! Ice cold Mexican coke in a bottle, excellent sides, and top notch service. So far everything I have tried has been awesome and I'm confident that anything on their menu that I haven't tried yet will be awesome as well. I used to think a $14 cheeseburger was ridiculous and now I don't want to imagine life without them.

I make a point of trying a restaurant's meatloaf to see how they make it. This by far was the best meatloaf I've ever had! Service was also very good. Definitely worth visiting when in Santa Monica.

DING’S CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH ($18) & CHEESEBURGER ($17) 🍔. We really like it.
Their restaurant located in a walking street area. I mean you can walk around and do some street shopping with few available shops nearby.
