Carlo's Bake Shop

I can’t say enough about the people that work here. they get through every rush with grace and ease and are so sweet (no pun intended haha) and informative about the treats they have to offer! Not to mention, everything is so rich and tasty. Perfect place to stop for a quick dessert after dinner on the Promenade :)

What a little gem in Santa Monica. We walked right past this bakery, on our way to a donut shop, and after looking at their donuts, turned around and came right back. I’m so glad we did because this place is lovely. We ordered a classic eclair, pastry pocket and a rainbow cake slice. The rainbow cake was super cute and delicious but the pastry pocket was out of this world. I will be returning tomorrow to sample more pastry before I leave Santa Monica. Our total was $23 and worth every dollar.

I picked up a piecaken for Thanksgiving and it was quite the crowd pleaser. There were lots of desserts but everyone was drawn to the unique mash up that Carlo's bakery created with their piecaken.

I also sampled a few of their lobster tails which are sort of like a cream puff.

Everything was very tasty. They had a lot of cake and pastry selections. If I lived closer I'd be back more often but sadly it is hard for me to get here so I'll save it for a special treat when I'm in the area.

Been wanting to visit since I was a child watching the show from the UK and was so surprised to see an empty shop on a Sunday afternoon!
I got a double choc cookie for $3 and cannoli for $5.
Both of them were just okay which was disappointing, probably should’ve got a cake! The service could also be a little friendlier for a bakery!

I am staying in Santa Monica while on vacation & stopped in bc I loved the Carlo’s Bakery in NYC & surprised my Daughter w/her favorite cake Strawberry cream with sprinkles & rainbow 🌈 cake on the inside!! It’s delicious 😋 we love it!!!! Carlo’s cakes are wonderful!!

Everything was result good. My son loved the sprinkle covered cookie. 🍪 It looked more like a cake cookie. The lobster tail and cannolis were bomb. The slice of rainbow 🌈 cake was soft and moist still and I ate it the day after purchasing it and traveling back home. My husband said the cheesecake was really good as well.

I'm only sadden at the fact I bought myself a shirt but when we got back to the hotel and I pulled it out. It was a youth large instead of an adult large.

Found this place as a happy accident. My daughter and I are fans of the show so we came out of here like bandits. There are pastries here that are just average and some things here that will magically haunt me until my next out of town trip. If there hadn't been a line behind me, I would have cleaned them out or my husband would have dragged me kicking and screaming.

For starters, oreo cheesecake has an oreo cookie on top. It was good, but I would have preferred it with more oreo cookie crumble on top or on bottom as the tin doesn't have a bottom crust.
My daughter loved the chocolate dipped cannoli. It was cannoli redemption after having terrible ones at a pizza shop the day before. Will definitely purchase again.
Husbands red velvet cake was good, nice texture cake and the filling and frosting was the best part IMHO.
Got a black and white cookie for one of my girlfriends who is from NY. She said it tasted just like she remembers.
Lastly, my pecan pie was heaven in a pie! It was hands down the best bakery pie I have ever had. The pie brown sugar filling g is absolutely the richest and silliest filling I have ever had. I am going to dream about this one.
My only regret is not buying any show merchandise. A coffee mug, an apron. Something. I blame my husband.

Super yummy cake slices! We finally made it out here and it was totally worth it. The slices were nice and moist and tasty. We also had some cookies and a brownie. The bakery was super clean as well.

My daughter loves the show and she wants to stop here ,she was very happy !

My wife got this amazing Cannoli cake from here for my birthday. This thing was to die for. I mean dang!! The people were extremely friendly too. Highly recommend to all!

Every time I see 'Cake Boss' on tv I get this idea that when I eventually visit one of their locations it's going to be super packed and busy. Well not this one (on the day I went, during the time I went lol), I placed my order online to avoid lines. When we got there, we were the only ones there 👍😊. Super recommend of you have a sweet tooth.

Such a cute shop with delicious pastries here ! I highly recommend stopping in for a quick snack. The lobster tails are amazing.

I went at 9 am. I am so lucky that I got a fresh lobster tail, like always it was very creamy and crunchy. Then, I got the strawberry very shortcake, melted in my mouth, bread was very sponge and the cream was delightful. Also, I got the red velvet and a chocolate chip cookie. ❤❤❤🤤 if you go, make a stop for some desserts 🧁

Fun, colorful, delicious artistic cake designs. We loved the canolis.

The place is awesome with a very wide range to choose from but to grab a coffee on the go u will wait for ages.
And the seating is really nice also

I'm sure the original is the best one but this was amazing. The rainbow layer cake is what dreams are made of. Also that whole are is delightful.
