Harbor Life Church

We love Harbor Life Church. This church is friendly and loving. It's the real deal. Looking for a place to belong and be part of a community? This is it. The pastoral team is passionate about their calling, and are a true blessing to all. Come on in, grab a free drink and snack at the Coffee Connection, and worship with us.

My husband and I have been a part of this church for more than 10 years and it has become a second home for us. The people are genuine, caring, and a lot of fun. The pastors love Jesus and want more than anything to see others in our community come to know the love of God for them. It is also such a great place for kids!

From the moment we walked into Harbor Life, we noticed nothing but positives. We were greeted by a friendly face who opened the door for us and made us feel welcome.

While checking in our children to the children's ministry, the Children's Ministry Director came out to meet us and help us through the process. Our kids were excited to get into class and my husband and I were thoroughly impressed with their level retention when we asked them about their lessons as well as the fun things they did.

After dropping off our kids, we headed into service (aka the gathering) and noticed how thought out the design was, with invitation and discipleship at heart. The doors to the sanctuary were wide open and writing surfaces were present in the back row of the sanctuary to encourage note taking.

We loved that not only was worship promoted in the beginning of the service, but the heart of worship was continued by singing another song before closing. Monthly "Night of Worship" gatherings are also on the schedule, which again emphasized the heart the church has towards encouraging people into greater relationship with God.

The pastor personally introduced himself to us after we picked up our kids, and continued to make us feel welcomed at Harbor Life. We were also impressed that he (and his wife to whom we had not been formally introduced) remembered our names when we came back the next weekend. We felt very welcomed from the get-go (and we didn't even take advantage of the free coffee before service).

If you are looking for a friendly church this is place to visit. I was amazed by how many people came up to me as I walked in. The worship style is very upbeat and contemporary in style. The pastor is young and energetic also gives sermons that deal with daily life. The people are from all different age groups and as someone else commented they seem happy to see each other. I really enjoyed myself there.

Awesome church. I've been to a lot of churches and the people at Harbor Life were some of the friendliest, non judgmental people I've met. I'm covered in tattoos and have a rough look to me and I was treated like I belong. This is my family's new home church.

I love the sincerity at Harbor Life Church and the fact that everyone is willing to serve along side each other humbly and with grace. While the Pastor preaches the bible and does not cloud the truth he also makes sure that it does not get in the way of relationships and does not shy away from hard or deep topics. Harbor Life Church is in the process of completely "recalibrating" three areas: First, their children's and youth ministry- for a deep and enriching experience for kids. The kids from the moment they walk in are engaged in songs and games and crafts and story time in a Make it Fun and Make it Real and Make it Stick curriculum that has everyone, volunteers included laughing and having a great time. I love that Harbor Life Church has prioritized kids. They also support kids by helping donate regularly to the Red Barn and other places. They are hiring a Full time youth pastor as well for their Thursday nights and they do lots of other fun events. The high school kids are great and they are inspiring! I have never seen so many young teenagers with such a sincere desire to serve. They also recently started providing a parent cue and app for fun ideas for the parents to do through out the week. 2nd, they are expanding their Sunday experience for everyone who walks in the door to feel welcome and to have the opportunity to be as involved as they want to be. Third, Discipleship, to equip those in the church to go out and serve and love our community and world and share the word and share Christ. They have two mission opportunities, one to Mexico and one to Burkina Faso. While all of these 3 areas have been great, I love the fact that Harbor Life Church prioritizes them and wants to make them even better. If you are interested in Harbor Life Church, you should check it out by attending a couple Sundays and picking up their book that has real life testimonies of members of their church. I highly recommend it.

Really enjoy the warm welcoming people there. First time visiting I really felt like they wanted me to be there and that I belonged. Excited also to see a great focus on getting out into the community and building up lives of people in need.

Hey everybody Harbor Life Church is an exciting place to come for food fellowship and fun. Pastor Tyson Lash is Awesome!

Wonderful chapel, great acoustics and air conditioning!

It was available on time it was warm and clean.

Sanctuary is very nice, also nice sound system equipment. The sound was too low energy for me. I could have whispered "is too loud" to my neighbor and they would have heard me. I know some people like it quiet, but if I want quiet I will go to a cemetery. The music mix had a sleeping rookie at the controls utilizing the set it and forget it method. After the worship was over I quickly departed but on my way out I caught one of the musicians. No enthusiasm was detected. I go for the worship, I can dial in any "sermon" on the internet with several thousand too choose from. But I can't get an energy full filling worship experience and it appears the musicians are starving for the same thing which is directly proportional to the energy measured by loudness which is dialed back and maintaining nothing more than luke warm. But that's just my personal preferences. If you want loud impacting praise and worship service i think the capability exists in this church, but from the sound and demeanor of the musician I talked to, I don't think anything will be changing as they are commanded "by the powers that be" to maintain luke warm.

Once you get to know the church, and discover the church politics, you will have a negative impression. The leadership team tries hard but only wants community popularity. That’s their main priority. Their priority is not their church members. You will see a high level of narcissism. The leader also likes to attract anyone that looks and fits into the kind of “brand” they want. They want to be seen as “hip” and “trendy”. If you have any problems in this church, just look at the other negative reviews - the negative reviews are 100% on point.

Visiting the area and decide this looked like a nice place to worship yesterday. WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!
Never have I visited a church and not one person said hello, good morning or offered good will of any kind. Sad. Then after 30 minutes of standing and singing the pastor was up with his IPad ( deep thinker) and delivered his message the beginning of his message was interesting but after he made the same point over and over and yes you guessed it over again which lasted 55 minutes, all points made from the IPad. This is not a welcoming church in any fashion and I would never encourage anyone who was a independent thinker to go to this church for worship.
