This coffee shop is very inviting and it’s great to grab a cuppa coffee do some stuff on your laptop and then go onto your day or stay longer as they have Wi-Fi for you to do all your work.
Overall a great place to be and it’s in just the right neighborhood for everybody too stop by. It’s a block away from Culver Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard on Sepulveda.

I ordered a hot vanilla latte (grande) and I paid $5.00 flat for it. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I enjoyed it. The atmosphere here is laid back and enjoyable. Lots of seating and space to play board games or do work.

I liked the atmosphere here. It felt relaxed like I was in someone’s family room. I don’t find too many coffee shops like this anymore. My black drip coffee was solid and I was grateful that they had a gluten free flourless chocolate cake that I could eat. They also have dairy free smoothies. The unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere made it so I could forget about work for awhile and flip through a coffee table book.

This place is cozy. Lots of character. Lots of seating; both indoors and outdoors. It's not a huge place but plenty of seating for it's size. The staff is helpful. I had the mango lemon herbal tea. They helped me with the choice by breaking the flavor down. When I got sucked into my writing and forgot to pick up the cup, the owner came down to my table to give it to me. They have a mini library from where you can choose books to read. They also have a bunch of 'blendeds' as they call it on the menu. Not sure what that is but seemed pretty popular just looking at the variety of choices in that category. Lots of chargers sprinkled around the wall and the seating intelligently ordered to be able to plug in easily. Easy to spend an afternoon here.

Everything bagel was the best I’ve ever had and so was the cappuccino. I went three days in a row while visiting the area. Great job!

Good place to hang out with friends. I love the bagel with egg white and cheese with coffee for breakfast. Hot and delicious.
You can play chess, board games or just work on your computer.

Tanners is the definition of the neighborhood coffee shop. Chess games are frequent here and can often get quite competitive. The Chess Club of Los Angeles meets here to run official USCF rated tournaments for all ages. Come by on a weekend between 12p-5p for unrated chess games, or after 5pm for USCF rated tournaments. If you want to play chess but don't feel ready for the tournaments, come by any other time and play one of the boards available inside the shop for patrons to play casually.

I had the hazelnut latte and I think that was the one of the best I’ve. Very nice environment with free WiFi and super friendly staffs. I will definitely swing by next time I’m in the area.

real nice experience. Tanner’s has its unique style inside that I appreciated. My friends and I enjoyed the games they had available to pass time while drinking our coffee.

Coffee did get cold quick so ask for extra hot if you prefer to make ur coffee last longer

Fantastic way to start the day! Kenya and Ciela were super kind and welcoming when I came in around 9am. The shop has a laid-back, local feel with surfboards hanging on the walls and lots of homey touches, including several bookshelves and a chess table. They have free Wi-Fi, and there are plenty of seats, couches, and outlets. I ordered the daily special, a French roast coffee with a nice kick, and an egg & cheese breakfast sandwich that was cooked to perfection, especially the bagel. On my way out, Kenya handed me a Tanner's pocket planner since it was my first time there. Made my day! Will definitely be back soon. If you're looking for a mellow spot to read, write, or work in Culver City, this is it.

My pea-sized brain couldn't prepare me for the onslaught of flavor and pure caffeine-fuled euphoria I receive from here. The bagels make me weep more than I usually do at 2am on a Tuesday night thinking about my life -- a high achievement, given my tears of joy from the Garlic bagel with cream cheese could flood the Sahara.

Love how they still have customer service in a time when customer service is almost obsolete. Also, it is nice to see a real coffee house with couches and chairs as well as tables. The coffee, like with the other brand names, is not to cheap. However, it is worth it.

Good coffee. Good chess players, experienced a one of a kind experience when it comes to coffee and chess here in LA. LA needs more of these places. Hope to see you guys there. Cozy, can hang on the computer without feeling like you’re being rushed out. Really happy I found this place.

Kind of a quiet place. So they have free Wi-Fi and the bakery goods are tasty. The coffee is tasty. There's places to sit outside if it's too quiet indoors.

Update: started getting back here twice a week when in the area. Good coffee and desserts. Egg and cheese on a bagel tastes great. May have to wait but worth it. Give yourself a little extra time.
