We have been here at the hospital for 2 weeks with my mother and I want make sure you are aware that your housekeeper Maria is a very hardworking lady and very nice. Always making sure my mothers room is clean and tidy . And the nurse Hanna is a traveler nurse has attended my mother very well .

February 27, 2024: I spent the day in the Emergency Department (ED) approximately 6:40 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., with my sister who was experiencing chest pain. The receptionists and nurses were excellent; invariably available, prompt, pleasant, thoughtful, attentive, and they knew what the hell they were doing. The ED was very busy. My sister spent the afternoon in a bed in a hallway (bed HW47 to be precise). There are nine beds in that hall, and most of them were occupied. Three RN's were on duty and they were the best! Very attentive. Calm in a busy, demanding environment. They did not have housekeeping staff, so the RN's re-made beds and sanitized equipment when patients left. There were no Call Buttons, so the RN's were on their feet, in the hallway, checking on patients constantly. I got on name, Stephanie, one of three RN's. She was a gem, an excellent nurse, smart, kind, thoughtful.

It was a long day made immeasurably better by the reception and nursing staff.

I would send any of my family members to this Emergency Department.

Thank you for providing such exceptional care!

I truly do not understand the negative reviews. Two weeks ago my husband came to the ED by ambulance (late stage COPD and lung cancer) The care we received was stellar, compassionate and informative from every nurse, doctor, technician etc. he was eventually admitted to the 8th floor. Again every individual we encountered were committed to helping my husband be comfortable. Even the custodian who came to clean the room was respectful and nice. We were so impressed with the responsiveness and the consistency of care from the team. I wish I had all of their names.. i recall nurses Sean and Kelly and a CNA, Peggy who stayed with my husband all night to help him get comfortable. But there were so many more! (I hope the 8th floor sees this). Dr Kunkel oversaw the comfort care given to my husband and I will be forever grateful for his reassurance and support. My husband passed away comfortably on March 2. I will be forever grateful for the staff on the 8th floor.

Incredible bedside service. The Nurses and staff really work there butt off. I got put in a bed in the hallway of the ER. Got to see a different perspective. Absolutely amazed at how no body is wasting a second of there time. I feel a little guilty for turning on my light so much. Outstanding service!!

Good Sam saved my life. I was admitted after having a heart attack, the staff revived me, twice and kept me alive. After I woke up the staff was kind, informative and helpful in my recovery during the three days I was in intensive care. I am so grateful that I was in the care of the Staff at Good Sam after my heart attack and during my recovery. Thank you Good Sam!

I delivered my 2nd child almost 6 months ago at this hospital and I had a very good experience. I kept forgetting to write a review.
I felt taken care of! I was at the hospital for 5 days but i had a bunch of staff that were supporting us before & after our child was born! The labor & Delivery staff was so caring!
Ashley, at the L&D was so personal, friendly and caring! I am in pretty anxious and she made me feel relaxed by just chatting and trying to get to know me. Down to earth the sweetheart nurse ever!! Haley, was another nurse i had that was so kind & helpful! I only had one nurse that was pretty rude to me when I nicely asked her to not turn on all the lights in the middle of the night.
I also had a good experience at the postpartum/NICU area. Katherine, was so kind & helpful! I was sent to a NICU mom room and I didn't know what that meant until they moved me to the room.. the nurse told me the hospital won't be bringing me food or any staff won't visit me.. I literally felt like I'm homeless but Katherine came and calmed me down and said you can order food since you have a baby in the NICU.. she also brought me any supplies I needed for myself or the baby.. that day my husband had to go visit our son at home since we didn't have a babysitter so Katherine was the person they lifted me up and cared for me!
Celina, was also a very sweet & kind nurse. Each nurse asked me if i needed anything.
Even though my birth &
delivery was stressful, I felt very taken care of at this hospital! So Thank you, thank you to all the amazing staff!!!

I was a Parkinson’s patient referred to the Good Samaritan Speech Therapy clinic by MultiCare neurologist , Dr. Stevenson. Diedre Sanchez was assigned as my therapist. Diedre was amazing. Professional, encouraging, kind and knowledgeable I saw an improvement in my speech almost immediately. Care like that provided by Diedre is hard to come by. Commendation is definitely warranted.

Came into the ER with 103 temp at 35 weeks pregnant. Ended up being COVID. They immediately got me admitted and took such good care of me and my unborn baby. Everyone from the nurses to the doctors were so kind and respectful to me. I wish I had started my maternity here instead of with Kaiser.

My care at Good Samaritan Hospital was VERY GOOD. My RN SHADI on the 6th floor was excellent. He’s got such a Caring personality, that shows completely. He’s very thorough when explaining instructions or situations that need more information.

MEDICAL RECORDS:

Great customer service from the lady at the front. She is a pleasure to speak with. She is helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to help me get my records. She is very cheerful and turned my bad day into a good day.
The other lady that sits in the back is very unprofessional and rude. She acted as if she did not want to help me.

Thank you again lady at the front. Keep smiling.
Please let her know she is doing a great job and keep up the good work. 👍

So I read the reviews and I see you there's a few people that were unhappy. First of all that tent outside was because of COVID and they still moved us quite quickly. I've been in that hospital emergency room for a few nasty cuts and recently I broke my hip and had to be taken care of and then after that I also had to have my appendix out all emergencies. I was treated with the utmost respect and care. I feel that the time that was spent with me and putting me to the place that I needed to be was reasonable and once they realize that I was sick they moved very very fast. Once in a hospital bed I was treated beyond wonderful. Everyone was courteous and sweet and thoughtful and professional. The ER and the regular hospital everything about that place has been nothing but a good experience! Next week I'm having a hip replaced at the same hospital. I'll keep you posted :-)

Amazing staff amazing doctors. Kelly and Dr. Stone are two of the most friendliest people I’ve met at any hospitals and all the years of my life I have epilepsy and I spent a lot of time in hospitals. This one is by far the best. I was brought here via ambulance from base for a pretty bad seizure and loss of feeling in my legs, we were welcomed warmly with an awesome team and told it was going on the entire time.

Unsure why this hospital had such low reviews. Brought my daughter here for food poisoning. We were seen quickly and put on a iv quickly. Staff was nice and efficient! Thank you guys! ❤

My wife had to go through the ER. Our poor puppy had to wait at the door. ER has a nice tent setup to screen before going into the hospital proper. This worked great for us.

I always stayed away because of the incredible wait times and impression that Tacoma General was the "better" hospital, but when I finally went to the ER here I was really impressed with the level of care and compassion shown by the staff. I felt well taken care of, from the excellent people at the main ER intake desk to the nurses on my loor, they were all wonderful, compassionate and thorough. I would and am, highly recommending to everyone. Big shout out to my night nurse, Lilo. She made a very unpleasant experience bearable and I appreciate it. I also appreciate the doctors. Their pragmatic tough love approach to everything really helped me think things through. More info is better than having things glossed over and sugar-coated. I'm super grateful.
