I just found our new go-to tamales place! The masa is moist and it's packed with meat. Even proportion with the meat and masa plus they gave me extra tamale sauce. The price is a bit high like everywhere else. But I would gladly pay as long as the food has quality.

The bakery selection is massive but I have not tried anything other then the tamales. My family had stopped here not really knowing what to expect and oh my goodness…They’re homemade, fresh and just fantastic. They’re also large and very very reasonably priced. A great deal for lunch. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Roscas de Reyes are the best. Needs a little bit of work on the inside.

This is the real deal. I have lived in Highland Park for almost 30 years. I have tried every Mexican bakery around here. This is the best. Parking sucks but it's worth it. Prices are good and they do a few rolls and pastries or you can get bulk orders!

Mostly a bakery, but they also sell tamales. Went here late at night and was happy it was still open. The bummer was that the card-reader was down and I didn't have any cash. The lady gave me the food anyway and just asked that I bring cash tomorrow (which I did), and was very grateful for because I was so hungry! The tamales were so good, and the bread can't be beat!

Bread is Delicious they also have tamales, chicharon, champurrado and on weekends menudo and cochinita pibil. Highly Recommend it!

Nice little family oriented bakery. Where the dad and mom make bread and food with love. Every piece of sweet bread in this bakery , is delicious. From the tamales on saturday , to the menudo on sunday. The cakes are indescribably delicious. Here , is where the heart is.

Burritos were great. Gave me a feeling of old Highland Park.

If you're disappointed with the pan dulce you're getting from wherever, you haven't been to La Perla yet. Always marvelous and the tamales are fantastic too.
