Mill Valley Public Library

This library, located in a picturesque town, made me feel like I was reading in a cabin in the woods. I love how some of their collections are not developed based on a particular theory of arrangement. There is a truly stunning collection of books by women writers which go on to show that it is erroneous to typecast women’s writing as purely about relationships. With its scenic views, this place makes you feel at home.

Amazing library sits inside the red wood park with little creek surrounding it. Big tall windows bring the nature inside. There were many categories of book selections. So peaceful and cozy and inviting to read.

This library is a work of art. Every single thing in there in beautiful!!

A beautiful building and beautiful grounds with lovely redwoods and a stream running through it, complete with picnic areas and a playground.

A beautiful library in the middle of the forest. The scenery was gorgeous and relaxing and the library itself was cozy and quiet. A great place to read or catch up on work before going for a nearby hike! Definitely worth the stop.

This is the most beautiful library. It’s small, charming and gorgeous. The outside is in a red wood forest with a playground and decks in the trees. The inside is beautiful symmetry with low warm lighting. It’s an act of art to read here.

The selection is good for a small library and the seating is plentiful and comfortable. This library made us want to move here. Please visit them.

Mill Valley Public Library (MVPL) is the absolute best public library in the entire Bay Area. Wonderful place to read and study. The main room has high ceiling with large windows overlooking the redwood forest. Intellectually stimulating, great range of books and resources. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you

Beautiful library on a redwood forest. A place you could go just to take pictures. It was a little bit crowded (on a Saturday) but I was able to find a decent spot to do some work on my laptop.

Such a magical library!! The redwoods and floor to ceiling windows are stunning. The librarians were also very helpful and warm. Come here even if you are from out of town and don’t have a library card that will work! A good place to start your exploration of the Dipsea Steps.

the most beautiful library I’ve ever been to

One of the most unique, spacious, beautiful library locations ever. Superb "book on tape" department, children's library is breathtaking, and the floor to ceiling windows looking out on the redwoods is unlike any library I've ever visited. The monthly books sale is worth the trip.
