Galaxy Theatres Gig Harbor IMAX

Very nice atmosphere when entering this movie theater.
The seats have been updated and are very comfortable. They are quite wide and you can recline in them. You always have a seat attendant present in the theater to help you find your seat.
Plenty of food available. They also have a nice bar area.

I went to the gig harbor movie theatre with a friend last night for the first time and we had a great time. This is located in a great location with a ton of restaurants and shops so there is plenty to do before or after your movie. The theatre itself was very comfortable and there’s even a bar where you can order a glass of wine or a cocktail. The chairs were recliners and very comfortable all with swivel tables. I highly recommend this theatre.

Loved it. Since I stayed in Tacoma I would go here on Saturday mornings or in the evening for movies. It’s clean and the drinks are good. Me being not wanting to miss the movie to go get another drink is what kind of sucked. I would pay extra for chair delivery if they had it. Haha overall it’s worth the toll fee

We're a big fan of Galaxy Theatres - it was also our go-to theater in CA before moving to Gig Harbor. Uptown's Galaxy has all the great things of a modern movie theater, but one fun thing we did there recently was attend a 7 year old's birthday party. His parents rented out the VIP Lounge w/its own private movie screen. Then the birthday boy got to pick the movie! (He picked Disney's "Encanto," which was out of theaters at the time). The lounge bar served cupcakes instead of beer - so cute! And overall it was just great to have that private space away from the public to do presents and balloons. Such a cool option for a party venue!

When I came to this movie theater, now they have comfortable and adjustable seats, very nice and professional and just sit and relax while watching the movie. The IMAX room was pretty cool inside too in the atmosphere. Very nice you all!

Excellent modern movie theater with exceptional seats, bar with a good selection of beer, wine and a handful of pedestrian cocktails. Their IMAX theater seats 300 and is a good example of IMAX. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars. ✌🏼

Nice theater with reclining seats and trays. They have an IMAX theater.

Super comfy seats, great sound, and friendly staff. I love that you can grab a beer and take it into any of the theaters. The seats each have a "TV tray" that swivels so you can use that for your food and drink. The seats also recline and there is a short wall between the seats in front and the seats behind so it feels very private. We went to see the imax but it wasn't a gigantic screen like other imax screens I've been to.

Hi, I decided to see on the big (big)screen Imax in
the Harbor.
It was an early showing.
It was /is a beautiful movie.
Napoleon!
Not, a kids' movie.
Some short, nearly graphic sexual scenes. 5 minutes in, I felt like I was on a horse at full gallop. It was exhilarating
I felt like I was in the saddle. Like I had expirenced as a boy.
The battle scenes were very well done. Beyond words.
The movie 2hrs 30+ minutes was just a little long.
The loss of life was so tragic.
It's kind of like what Napoleon was.
The echoes for today are like a bullhorn!
Oscar for best picture, cinematography, best support actor, best actor!
Well, maybe anyway
Great movie, I may see it again next year.

I live in Canada and have never seen a theater that serves you alcohol, beer on tap, glass on wine with the movie?
And the seats the theater I was in; they reclined, just like sitting at home in your lazy boy reclining chair.
Made the show more enjoyable. Highly recommend that you check this Galaxy Theater OUT!!

Love going to the movies with family. And great places to eat in the area beforehand. Good movie theatre experience for all ages.

Great food drinks and more the IMAX seats are super comfortable and the seats in the regular theater are button controlled so they are very adjustable! And the movie selection is great.

This theatre is well worth the drive to come to. Clean, friendly, polite. The theaters themselves are well set up and spacious. None of the seats in any of the theatres i have been to are broken. They even have beer!

Service at the ticket and concession stands was great. The sound and screen were awesome in IMAX. Had some kids in front of us start using their phones at the start of the movie, but when asked nicely to put them away they did for the whole three-hour movie. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated that from them. The theater could use a reminder before the film like most others have.

It was the first theater I went to that has reclining seats. And I’ve been going to this theater ever since 2018. The staff there are really friendly. And I’m looking forward to continue watching movies at this location

Saw an IMAX concert film - it was great. Acoustics, seating, screen. We felt like we were at the concert!

I love how big the seats in this place are. Me being a bigger girl, it's actually comfy to sit in these seats.

the setup here is much nicer than most
other theatres i’ve been to! large, comfortable reclining seats and perfect audio (most theaters blast their speakers way too loud). very friendly staff as well!

Good family atmosphere and the theater is well maintained. The staff is young and the smiles are big.

We live in Puyallup, but the drive is always worth it. Great atmosphere, climate control, recline seating, beer and food, and great films. They sometimes show old films for great prices as well!
