Siren Records - Monterey

This is one of my favorite record stores in northern California that sells new records only - no (or very few) used records for sale here.

They have a fantastic selection of modern and alternative rock LPs.
(They have classic rock and some jazz as well.)
And every time I visit, they usually have a few albums on sale that I'll pick up.

Highly recommended!

(FYI: No CDs sold here, which is okay by me as I rarely ever listen to them.)

Great store with a great selection of music. They don't sell any used records, and they don't put the prices on them, so they have a scanner tool that tells you on the far left wall when you walk in. Their prices are comparable to online. Even then, I don't mind spending a little more to support a local business and the fact I can pick out the record I want and not have to wait for shipping. I got a warped record from them before and came back the next day and they let me exchange it with no hassle. Overall I really like siren!

Great Record store! Always find a rare record here for my collection. Big Jazz section. Very good selection of used tube and solid state stereo equipment. I always tell my wife I'll only 10min; but really it's 3 hours.

Great place. Great selection. Prices seem a bit high but i understand prices fluctuate often. This place only has vinyl and CDs, they dont have equipment or cleaners

Cool place to check out some amazing records collection. Nice parking spot on the side and all records are easy to identify and the staff was very helpful with inquiries and pricing questions.

Once in a great while you stumble across vinyl gold; that's what happened to me today at Siren Records. I was deeply impressed with the cleanliness, layout, and vast and rich selection of records, in particular, indie/alternative. It all started with a friendly hello from the employee at the desk, later followed by a great conversation with the kind owner. Both are quite personable and knowledgeable. Fast forward a couple of hours later and I left a very happy customer with some terrific albums. I hope this cozy and intimate record store gains plenty of public attention and not just on record store day! It's a goldmine.

This place is great!!! If your looking for new vinyl, it's hard to beat. Great lay out. Outstanding selection and if they don't have it, they will order it. They also have a great selection of posters! Definitely coming back for some big purchases!

Best record shop in Monterey county! A must for all your old and new records!
They need a better sign outside their establishment to say it's a record store but once you know then you know this place is legit!

As a life-long CD buyer who has recently gotten into the world of vinyl, Siren Records has quickly become my go-to place for new albums in the Monterey area. The selection is great, with a wide assortment of indie and electronic music, as well as plenty of the classics. Make sure to check out the sale bin for some great deals. I even had my first case of a warped pressing of an album, and they swapped it out for another copy of the record, no problems.

This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I had the hardest time leaving because we couldn't stop looking through all the records.
We left with some great finds by the end our visit though. I definitely plan to come back here next time I'm in the area. 😜

Had a good experience here on black Friday. Just missed out on the rolling stones RSD release 2 ppl in front of me. But was still able to grab some heat from artist I grew up my whole life listening too. Good ppl and a good vibe. Support your local shops!!

Siren has the new hard to find vinyl that I always thought I had to order online. The store is full of newer Electronica and alternative albums plus great rock and hip hop. My only complaint is there are no prices on the record which makes browsing feel like a commitment.

I love this place because their entire inventory is new and they have a massive selection of modern genres. My only complaint is they do not put price tags on their records. Just ask the staff and they’ll gladly look up the price though. This is by far the best place to go on the peninsula if you are looking for new records.

Knowledgeable staff that's passionate about music. Extensive selection of new records and tapes. They will go out of their way to help you acquire exactly what you're looking for if able.

Awesome place if you want music and especially vinyl. They have a great selection of posters which I grabbed on my last trip there.
