BEST WESTERN PLUS Monterey Inn

Incredible value for a family vacation!! I was looking for something in Monterey with a nice breakfast buffet for my teenagers. They need a good base for adventuring. We got the 2-bedroom family suite and fell in love. I had coffee on my terrace with a bluebird and felt like I was living in a fairytale. 😍 They have a 24-hour hot cocoa machine that was A HIT!!!! 😋 our location was a short drive to all the tourist destinations on our list. The staff took good care of us and my kids even took a dip in the heated pool. The marine layer makes it feel like it’s sprinkling in the morning and evening and in the hot tub, the combo sent smoke in the water. My guys were thrilled! Mom and dad were too SoCal to venture into swimming in the May weather in Monterey Bay. ☺😀😂😍

We stayed here for 5 nights over spring break and were very happy with the cleanliness, staff, and amenities.

The room was so beautiful, and spacious for our family of three. There was sufficient parking. The pool was heated and just perfect even on a more cold day. The breakfast was impressive, and the staff was so patient and kind with making sure it was stocked even though there were many guests!

That brings me to the staff. Every time we walked by someone who worked at the hotel they said ‘Hi’ and were just so kind. It made our stay so comfortable and we can’t wait to come back. We love this place!!

*note- I am being completely sincere. The bar for our family is pretty high when it comes to hotels and we were blown away for the value of our stay here 💛

We stayed here during my husband’s business trip, and it worked out perfectly for us and our kids. The rooms were extremely clean, and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. I could tell that cleaning staff were very thorough.They were working on renovating the bathrooms while we were staying there, and it never bothered the kids or I while we’d be in and out of the rooms during the day. Our room had not been updated yet, but I can see that the rooms that have come with nice new bathrooms. Beds may have had new mattresses because they were extremely comfortable.

There are a lot of fun extra amenities that made our stay nicer. We loved the yogurt machine, breakfast was included with our stay and was honestly pretty good. The lobby has a nice Nespresso machine which I was able to use for warm drinks for us and the kids.

Be aware there are no microwaves in the room, but that’s not entirely uncommon for Monterey. They have one available for use downstairs, which isn’t too big of an inconvenience. It would be nice if the external stairs had key card entry, but it wasn’t bothersome to walk around to the lobby to get up. The parking garages were not difficult to navigate, and the elevators are conveniently located.

The location is very convenient on Abrego street, being close to many things and to 1, while not being so busy that it’s loud or difficult to get into or out of. All in all, we left our 5 night stay feeling extremely glad we’d chosen this hotel.

Today is 3/16/2024 I've had the best experience at the best western! ((ALAN)) at the front desk was the best customer service. This gentleman deserves to be promoted! As soon as the doors open, he greeted my family and I with the great big smile and an uplifting matter, professional the whole way, gave us plenty of information about the property. He insured me if I had any problems that he would take care of us and he definitely did. He took great pride in ensuring positive overall customer experience. Thank you again. Will definitely be coming back 🏝😁

First of all, it was our first time in this hotel and we stayed with our family. The front desk night and morning shift staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and well-designed. O
The room was good and the bed was comfortable!
I didn't expect that the breakfast was gonna be amazing! You know hotel breakfast is usually bagels, jam, and coffee. However, they have a pancake machine, cold juice machine, fruits, omelets with cheese, hash browns, etc. It was so delicious! There is a complimentary coffee machine 24 hours in the lobby.
Everything was amazing and thank you for your service!

A good place to stay at an affordable rate. Good location near all the major attractions that Monterey have, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium and a short drive Carmel by the Sea. Free parking in well lit and clean parking structure, room is clean and adequate, breakfast included. Very helpful friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend and be happy to come back here on our next visit in the area.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Alan was super helpful with recommendations for restaurants nearby. I was concerned about the lack of air conditioning but to no avail. The ceiling fan was great and the room stayed around 66 degrees which was perfect! The heated pool and hot tub were nice amenities as was the coffee machine. It is well located and quiet.

A nice location and solid Best Western Plus with decent free hot breakfast and garage parking for guests. Good size clean rooms most with small balcony. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, waterfront, restaurants and Pete's Coffee. Mid level prices for the area.

Always excited for the espresso machine. I love to walk about with a latte or hot chocolate. However, the front desk personnel completes my stay and satisfaction.

Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and was not disappointed!

First off, the afternoon staff is wonderful! Upon arrival we were warmly received, check in is easy after a 2 hour drive this is essential! Parking is convenient. Lobby is beautiful! The room we stayed in had a fireplace and a patio and it was absolutely gorgeous! The bed is comfortable and the room is huge! Breakfast was delicious with a variety of breakfast foods but I was very happy with the milk options they had, oat, almond and the usual.

We got some dinner recommendations from the staff there and they were delicious! Went to Nacho Business and a desert place to go.

We brought back desert to our hotel and forgot forks, we called the front desk and had somebody bring us up two forks after we insisted we would go down for them.

My partner and I are planning to be in Monterey for car week this summer and we know exactly where we will be staying!

Great hotel. Very close to dining and other attractions in Monterey. Did not drive at all for 3 days there. The walk to the aquarium not bad at all. Plus you get to see many other points of interest along the way.

Will try to stay at this hotel when visiting the area again, as their staff is very friendly.

Very kind and hospitable! Walked in with no reservations late in the evening with my 2 children in tow after making failed reservations at a different hotel that did not work out. This experience led me to stay at other Best Westerns throughout my travels in California. Great complementary breakfast. Two thumbs 👍 Best Western Plus - You did good!

Wonderful property. Inside courtyard available through room. Lovely pool area. Rooms spacious and very clean. Beds very comfortable. Easy to drive to. Close to Muir Woods area with lots of restaurants and gas. Staff (Cristina) was marvelous. Friendly and efficient. Very kind and helpful. Good value. Wished we could have stayed multiple nights to take advantage of the property. Each room had Adirondack chairs outside the back area. Plenty of room between seatings. Definitely worth a stay. I would go back

Very nice hotel in Monterey. Good sized rooms with balconies. Nice breakfast included. Free underground car park. Lovely pool and hot tub. 15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf.

I don't usually review big chain places, but! I've stayed here several times now and I absolutely love this place! Best hotel service I've had anywhere. Every desk recep is very kind and friendly and helpful. Easy and very good parking. Great location, close to the airport as well as the main street of Monterey. Excellent price! Very nice rooms on a quiet street. Even has an outdoor hot tub! Breakfast isn't bad at all, and they have coffee and tea all hours.

Mostly though, the phenomenal service and great hotel for a very reasonable price. Love this place, will continue coming back.

This is a nice hotel. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. It’s located pretty close to downtown Monterey and it comes with a free parking garage. The room I stayed in had a bathroom with two beds (which where comfy), a TV, and a desk. The room also had a balcony, which was nice. The rooms were clean. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms near downtown Monterey.

Amazing stay! I could not get over the location and staff. The location is within walking distance to a few fabulous restaurants and shops, this was perfect as we could leave our car in the free parking garage during our stay and walk around. The room was very very clean and bright, I was able to open the patio door to let in a nice breeze in the evening. Every time I entered the lobby I was greeted by the staff who were kind and made a few great recommendations. I will definitely be back!

This hotel was great for a weekend getaway. Close to downtown Monterey and Carmel. Good breakfast in the mornings. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear your neighbors but everyone was quite after around 10 pm. I would definitely stay here again.

Alan was amazing and a delight. Room was upgraded from 2 queens to 2 kings. Beds were so comfortable, room was clean and spacious, and the hot tub and pool were great! We even got an adorable patio with our room. Easy breakfast, great location and overall great stay.
