Cafe 86 - Mira Mesa

I had a great time at Cafe 86! I had the Halo Halo bread pudding with ube ice cream and the Mermaid tea. I enjoyed every second of it!

The Ube milkshake and cheesecake were the best thing ordered in my opinion.

Cute little cafe with a wide variety of food and drink options! The prices are relatively low, but toppings are a little bit pricey. I got the strawberry calamansi and I really liked how the calamansi shined through. The boba was nice and soft and chewy, but was not sweetened. There are many places to sit and there are also snack options like ube flavored desserts and mochi churros. We didn't try but will definitely come back soon to try.

Came across this place one evening before going to seafood city for some groceries and I'm glad I did! It's really cute and has a lot of pastries and different types of drinks. Will have to come back to try their ube leche flan cupcake!

I've only been here twice so far but service and food have been amazing and excellent both times. Both young ladies are very welcoming when i've come in and always greet everyone as they walk in. The inside is a little dark and maybe moody but it's also a bit trendy and kind of like a "get away" zone from the outside. There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is quiet. When i first walked in there was a couple studying/doing homework and another person reading. It's a cute little cafe and i like that i can go in, sit down, read a book and not be bothered. My first time was a walk in order and i didn't have to wait long even though i ordered 4 drinks and a few desserts. I got a biscoff cookie smoothie, an oreo smoothie, an ube monster?, a classic halo halo, 2 ube truffles, a cupcake and something else. Everything was sooo good, my kids stole the drinks and i got to eat the desserts haha. My second order was an online order and when i walked in to pick it up the girl handed it to me and asked if i needed any utensils or napkins. Their ube truffles are my absolute favorite item here and i could probably die happy eating one. Their halo halo is also good and so are all the drink options they offer. Honestly, i'm glad they opened a location here and i hope they continue to thrive and do great. Their desserts are amazing and service is very friendly.

I was visiting San Diego and I went here twice! The flan, exceptional. The Halo Halo, to die for. The customer service, excellent. I'm coming back and with an empty stomach!

This place has the most amazing Halo Halo. Every time I am a need of a boost, I go here. Please never close!!!

They have a new drink called halo halo upside down. It has boba and jellies at the bottom with ube smoothie with ice cream, Frosted Flakes, etc. it costs about 7 dollars and enough to share between two people. It is absolutely delicious:) I’ve gotten it a few times.

Everything was good so far except for the ube cheesecake because of the after taste. We love their ube milk tea, hot or iced and their halo halo bread with ube ice cream on top.

The sandwiches were delicious, the desserts were fantastic, and the drinks were the perfect blend of sweet and tart!

A modern twist on the Filipino halo-halo. It has the toppings I love on the top (upside down version) and omits the ones I personally wasn't a fan of like the sweet red munggo beans or the plantains. Instead of crushed ice the base is an ube flavor milk.

Good place to get a drink

I just had the most incredible milkshake of my entire life. Cookie butter milk shake is 100/10. We will definitely be coming back!

We came after dinner for dessert. I got an afogato and while it was made with ice cream instead of the traditional gelato, it was a generous portion and perfectly hit the spot. Staff was friendly, place was clean (minus the giant dead cockroach in the bathroom). It just seemed very simple. My friend got the Taro butter cake and said it was exactly as his childhood so😌

Love there ube tres leches cake and desserts. So far I prefer there halo halo over Chow kings. There milkshakes are good too!

Their ube is to die for! I crave their ube cookies and wish I could get them shipped to me all the way in Florida. Looking forward to the next time I get to go to San Diego because this will be my first stop!!

Best place to get small desserts, fantastic milkshakes and iced tea drinks. This place offers a unique taste and the UBE crack cheesecake is marvelous and not too sweet. Perfection!
