Pope Street Bridge

Great bridge. Kept car out of the water. Would recommend to friends, perhaps not family. The wife and I found the crossing experience most pleasing.

The views are very pretty, the service was very attentive, disappointed with my main course, gnocchi was very salty.

Found an old tequila bottle from Mexico jt had real fancy engraving in the glass

It's a bridge

I don't like the looks of this bridge. You know how bridges have like, mostly, they're like a hunk of stone and mortar going across a river, and then some road over the top? This bridge.... something's off about it.

Very narrow, not suitable for beginner drivers. It's a two-way bridge, if someone is intimidated they might steer into the wall. One time this lady got spooked from my large van and got the wall, I can never forget the daggers her eyes threw at me.

The old Stone bridge is iconic but narrow and difficult for two-way traffic. It is also at a steep angle from the crossroad causing confusion and delay

I understand this bridge has history but sometimes I wish function would win out over history and they would rebuild this bridge to something that accommodates more then one and a half cars at a time. I fear for people's lives who have to walk across it.
