Duckhorn Vineyards

Heard from Napa regulars that Duckhorn would be a good spot to visit. There are hundreds of vineyards in Napa and it’s helpful to get local recommendations vs TripAdvisor or maybe even Google haha

I loved it from the moment I pulled in. I came alone and booked the tasting menu that came with cheese and other small items. I was stuffed! Definitely enough to share amongst 2 or even 3 guests.

I liked that it’s not stuffy, friendly staff, beautiful and warm seating overlooking a sunny vineyard. There were also heaters above outdoor seating to keep you warm in chillier months.

The wine… delicious!!! Bought myself a few bottles to sent home. Best of all shipping was free (or something cheap) and the price per bottle was also very reasonable.

Did the Portfolio Tasting for $60/person. Tasted 5 great wines with information and conversation from our host. Scott was personable, patient and attentive. Purchased a few bottles and some gear from the lobby. Went back the next day and bought more as it was a favorite for sure. We did 12 tastings and this was a top 3 in Napa Valley.

Such a good experience today. Chris was fantastic. Wine is PHENOMENAL. Beautiful grounds even on such a rainy day.

We were blown away by the sheer excellence of their wine tasting experience.

The building itself is a beautifully designed space that is both relaxed and inviting. The service was top-notch, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They walked our group through each of the wines and provided us with interesting insights into the winemaking process for each bottle. We all felt like we were getting a behind-the-scenes look at the magic that makes Duckhorn's wines so special.

The wines themselves were simply incredible. Every sip was better than the last, and I found myself struggling to pick a favorite. It's no wonder that Duckhorn's wines are recognized as some of the best in the world. We did decide to buy a bottle of Rutherford.

I would highly recommend a visit to Duckhorn Vineyards to anyone who loves fine wine. It is an experience that you will never forget, and one that will leave you longing for more of their delicious wine

A beautiful place for tastings. Christy did a fantastic job for us. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were excellent. Try the Pinot Noir. It was surprisingly good.

Duckhorn wines are everything you want from Napa wines…Big Cabernets and Merlots

Their merlots are my favorite, full bodied and smooth.
The Goldeneye Rose and Pinot Noir were a special treat that was unexpected.

On a cold and rainy day we had an extremely pleasant tasting on the patio. Miguel was a high point himself. He offered my wife a blanket, had a welcoming and comforting way of explaining the wines and process. The cheese plate was excellent and paired really well with the wines. The property was beautiful and this was probably our most zen tasting, allowing us to enjoy the wine and the company of each other in a relaxing environment. Would recommend.

Comfortable, quiet, and utterly relaxing farmhouse feel and experience. I've been coming here for wine tastings for many years and have never been disappointed. The service is always pleasant and professional, and if you like merlot, you'll love being here.

Enjoy the sunlight, bread sticks, and that feel of getting away from it all. I always leave rested and recharged, and of course feeling chill.

Duckhorn Vineyards near St. Helena is a must with awesome Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay from old vines. If you go, try the Three Palms Cabernet; it’s iconic. The tastings are held on their porch and, even though it was one of the larger wineries we visited, the seating and setting made it feel more intimate. The staff are top notch, which always guarantees a better tasting experience. Add to that, the grounds are simply spectacular too! A must stop in Napa.

Such warm hospitality!! We didn’t have a reservation on a Saturday and they squeezed us in for a tasting! They also gave us a buy one get one free tasting as a military discount…60$ savings. This place is iconic.

Duckhorn is truly the classiest and most personalized tastings one can do in Napa. The knowledge and professionalism of their tasting hosts is far above others. The wine is also top notch. It was a highlight of our trip - as it always is. We never miss Duckhorn when we’re in Napa. Rachel, Miguel, and Christian are all phenomenal hosts and full of knowledge!

Chris said, "I'm going to introduce the Discussion. It's better than an Argument." And that joke really sums up the brilliant experience we had at Duckhorn. The day was beautiful and we sat outside. We tasted at least 8-9 different wines (mostly reds) and munched on some delicious snackies. Our sommelier, Chris, was funny, informative and just wonderful. Now, we probably were treated this well because one of our friends is a member. But if this is how members are treated, then a membership is definitely worth it all!! You can get some really pretty pictures in the vineyards. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Duckhorn winery is a classic for Napa. It’s a beautiful property with stunning grounds. Wine is great and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and region. Highly recommend stopping by when visiting Napa. Reservations strongly recommended.

Duckhorn will be your down to earth vineyard visit. Make a reservation though it's almost a Napa Valley ordinance. Yes the rules in Napa are many. Carlos our guide helped us navigate our tasting. From a smooth white to deep red we were led through the valley of wonderful wines offered by Duckhorn. The wine making to soil were all topics fluently covered by our guide.

We went to Duckhorn for an afternoon tasting. It was easy to schedule one the day before since it’s the off season. The estate is beautiful. Scott and Chris who helped us were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and their history. We also added a cheese/meat plate to go along with our tasting and it was such a nice surprise. Would highly recommend the whole experience.

Had a fantastic experience at this winery with incredibly knowledgeable staff. They were genuinely welcoming and even wished my girlfriend a happy birthday! The wines were top-notch, and I highly recommend joining their wine club to savor some exclusive options that aren't widely available. If you have a chance to get Chris as your Sommelier he is one of the best one we had on our trip in California.

My husband and I always make a reservation for a tasting at Duckhorn when visitig Napa. Request the porch/patio with the option of high and low top tables. The wines and service are phenomenal. The house and grounds are beautiful. We have been members in the past and with this recent visit became members once again.

Wonderful wine tasting experience. Off the main drag of Napa Valley this home style wide veranda home offers a taste of one of the older more established vineyards in the Napa valley. We arrived with a reservation and were welcomed warmly with a glass of sauvignon blanc and welcomed to wander the property while they looked to see if they could fit us in. That experience in itself was wonderful to be welcomed and not felt rejected.
Many of the wineries in Napa felt like factories pumping out tastings and shuffling through visitors which makes wine tasting not enjoyable and down right unappealing.
It was wonderful to be welcomed and lead through a tasting of merlots and Cabernets. In a quite and relaxed manor where wines could be tasted and enjoyed making an experience and memory.
Wonderful knowledge and welcoming staff. As a purchaser of Duchkhorn wines it was wonderful to finally visit the winery itself.
