Beautiful winery. We loved their twelve falls wine and had to take a bottle home. We also took the guided tour and it was very fun and informative. I would recommend doing the tour and of course a tasting on their patio is always a must. A little pricier than perhaps other winery experiences and I recommend booking in advance as soon as the dates are available because they go quickly.

Stunning experience.

We enjoyed the tastings on the porch with Elijah. Very nice and completely knowledgeable of the history of the grounds and the wine.

This was my first Napa Valley experience, and I will judge all others to this amazing experience.

Without a doubt the best winery experience in Napa. Be sure to book ahead early, they have limited space and do not take walk ins.
The building itself is stunning. The patio for wine tasting has the best view over a small portion of the valley.
Our host was amazing, fun, and informative.

Hidden gem in Napa! This house has so much history behind it and Elijah did a great job giving us a tour of the house and wine tasting. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have great wine tasting which is not too crowded and having great wines to taste.

Stags Leap Winery is an absolute gem in Napa Valley. The property is stunning and the wines are exceptional. Each glass of wine tells a unique story, showcasing the talent and passion of the winemakers. I particularly enjoyed their Cask 23 Cabernet Sauvignon - it was deep, full-bodied, and incredibly flavorful. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a world-class winery with breathtaking views and outstanding wines, Stags Leap Winery is definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous estate and great wines. We did the tasting and got like 7 wines total. 6 reds with wonderful cabs and petit sirah. The place is beautiful and sitting outside is really nice and comfortable plus you get great views of the scenery.

I came here with my husband to enjoy a tour on a Saturday afternoon. Jim was our tour guide and did a great job of explaining everything and keeping us engaged.
The location was beautiful and getting to walk around the grounds was amazing. The assortment of wines was also nice since it was much different from other winery options. The pairing of cheese at the end was fantastic and overall a great time. I highly recommend a visit.

We had such a great tasting at Stags'! The wine was absolutely superb, the grounds are stunning, and the service was wonderful! We sat outside on the gorgeous covered patio that looked over the vineyards. Completely idyllic. We tried a couple whites, a rose, and several reds. All of them were beautiful, it was hard to know which one we liked best! We also appreciated the fascinating history of the property and the home.. We will be back for sure!

We booked the Take the Leap tour and tasting which is only available at limited times. Despite what some reviews say, we couldn’t have had a better experience. The property is gorgeous and the history is quite incredible. They have 3 levels of wine and there is no doubt the top level black label wine is outstanding.

This was where we had our first tasting in Napa ever and it left a wonderful and lasting impression!

As you drive up you are greeted multiple times with "private drive" signs. Keep going, it's part of what makes it so charming. The Estate is tucked away in a beautiful valley off the main drag and the tastings are private and limited to 10 people. A recipe for a relaxing, personal, and informative tour.

When you arrive you are greeted by your tour guide with a glass of wine to enjoy on the scenic patio while you wait for the tour to begin. We had literally flown in that morning and this was our first stop in Napa so it was a great way for us to begin winding down from our travels.

Our lovely tour guide, Steve, began the tour inside the mansion explaining the history of the property starting way back in the 1870s. Very interesting through each era of its story. We got to view the pool, the speakeasy, the apothecary garden, bocce court, and the curious variety of foreign plants, trees, and flowers gifted to owners over the years. The grounds are just stunning and calming at the same time. The tour concluded with a tasting in the dinningroom of the main house paired with some wonderful cheeses. In the end, we purchased a few bottles to ship home.

Throughout our trip we went to 6 different wineries and this was definitely my favorite one. I highly recommend!!

Pro tip 1: They only do private tours and tastings by appointment only and they are limited. So make sure to set up your tasting in advance. Don't hesitate in doing so, you won't be disappointed.

Pro tip 2: As you pull up to the front of the main house the parking signs are confusing and parking seems limited. You can drive in front of and past the main house to find additional parking on the other side.

I visited Stags' Leap Winery in April, and had a wonderful time. I had the Manor House Experience, a delicious tasting accompanied by an entertaining and informative tour of the House and the immediately surrounding grounds. Learned a lot about the fascinating history of this winery, including how key it was to putting California wines "on the map". I joined their wine club, and have since had excellent experience with their club customer service. I called recently with a request and Marie Elise was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend visiting this winery!

I had an excellent experience here due to our wine expert, Sol (sorry if name misspelled). She gave a wonderful tour of the house and was very enthusiastic about the history. My favorite wine was the malbec which was served in the basement/dungeon area. The actual tasting itself was enhanced by the pairing of cheeses. Overall, I had fun and will return in the future.

Amazing property! Really stunning grounds. Captivating history. We were smitten with the history and charm of the place. Steve was cool and relaxed conveying lots of details throughout the tour. Great wines from Chardonnay to Cabernet with some of the most complex blends we encountered. A fantastic day all around

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY...Rob was absolutely the best - he gave us interesting facts about the Stags’ Leap history and about the wine. Rob spoke to us like we were old friends, and that really made what could be an intimidating setting for less experienced vineyard go-ers more comfortable. We had a private tasting...would not book it any other way. The wines are superb, the setting is grand. We cannot wait to return. Thanks, Rob!

Lived the setting of the winery. While sitting and waiting for the wine tour to begin, we were treated with a glass of chardonnay while relaxing into the view of the vineyard and hills.
The tour was conducted very professionally and we enjoyed every moment. We had a lunch pairing tour and lunch was wonderful and the wines were exquisite. Lovely experience..

What a treat! Please put this on your list for must try wineries. We had such amazing wines here…. (Malbec and Cabernet were our favs). The history and details of how they have come to where they are today are the highlights! Beautiful grounds….. very very personable staff. This will be one of your favorite wineries in Napa!
