We stumbled upon this adorable Gelato/Bar/Espresso spot while looking for a dessert place after eating dinner down the street and I am so happy we chose here!
The Gelato flavors were great and you can make an Affogato with any flavor, which makes it hard to choose between gingerbread and hazelnut, so we went with gingerbread and got a cone of hazelnut.

I came to order coffee latte and dessert. The staff are lovely and kind. The place was very clean and beautiful. thank you for a good day ❤

Love this place! The staff (Jarod and brother) are great! The food was outstanding and atmosphere was wonderful! We are coming back for a drink from their extensive wine list and array of draft beers. We highly recommend!!

My favorite cafe in the valley. Truly a European style cafe. The coffee is fantastic, they actually know how to make a real macchiato. Great selection of beer and wine. Don't even get me started on the gelato. The crew is always wonderful. I cannot say enough nice things about this place.

The ice-cream was incredibly tasty. It was not too sweet) there were many flavor of ice-cream (~20). The coffee was perfect too.
The staff is polite and quick. The interior is lovely and you are able to sit with a big company (from 2 to 8).

Friendly waitress & customer service @ counter (you have your go inside with a mask to order). Tasty food: ordered the St. Helena Cheese-steak & got 'happy hour' price @ 2 p.m. The tomatoe soup was pureed & was delicious! Nice to have GELATO ice-cream :) she put 3 flavors inside waffle cone @ $6.50. Reasonable prices & good value...glad we ate there!

Such sweet people work here. The coffee and treats are great but I love that they also have nutritious options.

Tasty happy hour menu - lemon pepper wings were crispy dry & not oily. Also had a glass of rose and parm fries. Lots of sunny afternoon patio seating. Cappuccino was perfect too.

Very pleasant nice low key place to grab breakfast and a cup of coffee. The staff is lovely and the pastries are delicious.

Great place. Great service. Kind workers. As of March 28th, 2023 many fake reviews/protests by college students that go in and do homework there despite not getting any food or beverage. Ricky and the other staff have always been kind and cordial but as the place has picked up business the students taking up space from paying customers is a bit of a nuisance. Will happily support this place while it’s there.

Eventually you need a break from the wine in Napa valley, and if you like beer then this is an excellent place to enjoy a great European/Italian style cafe. They have good coffee, a dark Italian style roast, and good beer on draft. The gelato is also great. As a beer connoisseur, nothing makes me happier than seeing an excellent selection of Belgian beer with the matching glassware. If you’re a fan of delicious high gravity Belgian beers, then you’ll want to take a break from the wine tastings and stop here to refresh your palette.

Very nice place, just the right size coffee menu. The portion for the caffelatte was enormous! I loved the outdoor setting with geraniums and petunias.

Deciding on a drink is sometimes difficult for me so Thank you to the young lady that was patient and for your suggestion on the lavender matcha, it was delicious!
The cafe was clean and bright - beautiful ambiance. Ordering was simple - detailed drink menu, and my drink was made neat and quick. For a Medium oatmilk matcha it was only $4.
bonus the matcha doesn’t have sugar mixed into it 💕 Thank you! I’m excited to come back and try more.

Ricky is wonderful, also the pickles that come with the pretzel are amazing

Elly and Runi (guessing at the spelling) were both so sweet and helpful. It was my partner’s birthday and they took the time to make the dessert extra special, service and conversation is great. We got paninis, salad, Nutella panini and gelato. Very welcoming place with solid good food. Thanks!

Plenty of space, the staff whose names I didn't get were awesome and friendly. I feel bad I couldn't tip more due to the unexpectedly high bill (my fault).
Flatbread overrated, not worth the price, everything else was great.
PS this place was one of the rare eateries open on Sunday despite Google maps indicating others were open.

Notice all the quasi similar 1 star reviews with a similar date? The kids from the local college sometimes hang out at CDV and study. Some of them are polite and purchase things, as one should. Some of them are less polite and spread out without spending anything. I mean, they are college students, I get it they have little or no money. But Ricky and the other staff are doing the right thing by politely asking then to open a tab if they are going to camp out. Ricky recently had to ask a kid to move on after a refusal to purchase, and now the kids are on a 1 star vendetta. As a fellow customer, I'd love it if none of them ever set foot in the place again!!! But CDV doesn't deserve the bad rap and poor reviews. What's more likely to be true a) Ricky actually yelled at a paying customer or b) a 20 year old college student who didn't want to pay $3 for coffee was being a jerk?

Came to town for a wedding and found this gem. Clean with a chill vibe... but not so chill that you hear yourself breathing. 😆 The staff was amazing. Ordered an almond milk cappuccino- PERFECTION. The espresso is creamy. Love it. I had actually stopped at another coffee shop up the street and ordered a drink but it was awful so I moved on. So glad I did. Would highly suggest and definitely will return.

I had a caffe latte, it tasted good. The lady over the counter was not friendly but it's okay. Everyone can have a bad day and can't be nice all the time and it's understandable
