Last stop of 3 winery tour. All were unique and very good but this one is small and so personal. We felt like friends sitting in the family room just chilling and drinking fantastic wine.

Go visit! Cowboy Doug was great. This is not a winery you will hear a lot about, but it’s good. It’s intimate and has a good story. Learning about the owners and their philosophy makes me want to support them more.

We just spent the most wonderful afternoon at Auburn James! Doug was not only knowledgeable but the kindest person. He 100% made our day. If you’re looking for good wine and a wonderful guest experience this is the place! 😌❤

What an amazing find! Highly recommended by the priority wine pass, we decided to give this small winery a try and SO glad we did. Small staff with great love and attention to their wines and guests. Our tasting was outside in the beautiful backyard overlooking the vines. Each wine was so unique and delicious! So many good things to say about this place that we even added them to our few wine clubs we have joined over the years. There is defiantly something to be said about the smaller wineries- this one puts love in every bottle they make from their crispy Chardonnay to their unique, mouthwatering, smooth reds.

My wife and I had a great experience at Auburn James today. Doug, our host, presented some great wines and really interacted with our group. Highly recommend.

My mother and i thoroughly enjoyed our experience here at AuburnJames! The environment is unique and scenic, and the staff is knowledgable, kind, and funny. It was the only place we visited where our server (the wonderful Doug) sat with us, took the time to get to know us, and wanted to help us find the perfect wine for our palettes.

We left with two bottles: the Rose and Proprietary Red Blend. Both are ridiculously delicious. 10/10.

Auburn James was our favorite winery stop in Napa! Our tasting was particularly special because it with one of the wine makers, Eric and his bull dog Pepa. Neither of us are big wine aficionados and Eric answered all of our questions and let us try some amazing wines. Big show stopper for my girlfriend was the Chardonnay - this was the first one she’s ever had that she enjoyed because of Auburn James’ unique approach to that grape. But everything we had was great! Will certainly be returning!

Jamie from Priority Wine Pass highly recommended Auburn James for a wine tasting. We are two senior couples visiting Napa. Auburn James did not appoint us. Upon our arrival, Rob graciously welcomed us. Though we thought that were well informed about wine, Rob enlightened us further. We visited five smaller wineries during our stay. Auburn James was the highlight of our visit. Each tasting progressively got better. Their wines are high quality wines. We also got the opportunity to meet Matt, the owner. Our wine tasting lasted a couple of hours. Both couples purchased wine. Auburn James also is sponsoring a wine tour next year to the Bordeaux region which highly interested us. We highly recommend Auburn James winery for a tasting and buying some bottles of wine.

There's a huge difference between glorified bartenders and snooty Soms doing tastings vs wine makers. Eric was kind, patient, and knowledgeable and passionate about his craft which made the experience all that much better. It also helped that all of their wines were better than anything else we had tried in Napa. And more affordable. We really look forward to visiting again and making more money to buy more of their wines!

My wife and I visited AuburnJames as part of a wine tour and we are so glad we did. Our host, Rob, was engaging and so knowledgeable about their wines and wine in general. All of the wines we tasted were delicious. We highly recommend a stop at AuburnJames.

From the moment we walked up the path to the cozy Auburn James tasting cottage I knew we were in for a once in a lifetime experience. Holly WAS the face of the winery that day and she took the time to sit down with us, share her authentic stories and give you the feeling you were a part of her wine making family! Each bottle we sampled from white, rose' to red was outstanding! The rose' Holly helped create was delightful with hints of melon and strawberry. It was the highlight of our trip to Napa and we hit other major wineries. If you want a personal experience, Auburn James is the place to visit!

Truly an amazing winery, a hidden gem. Amazing wines and scenery. This was by far the best experience we ever had in Napa. Doug was welcoming, knowledgeable and simply incredible. Ill be sure to come back (once I'm done with all the wines we bought).

My girlfriend and I were looking for a quieter winery away from the crowds. We saw AuburnJames had good reviews so we made plans to try them out. When we got here, Tim greeted us at the parking lot and set us up at a table outside. We had a great tasting, and he took us through how to smell and taste the wine. It was a quiet, laid back experience. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back!

Visited winery on Platypus tours July 21st (Kyle was guide - outstanding !). We loved all the tastings in lovely patio setting. Amazing wines 🍷... topped with Q & A with partner James - terrific wine and winemakers 👌. Defintely 5 ⭐

One of the best stops during our trip to Napa Valley. The laid back atmosphere coupled with the home like feel of a tasting experience on a small deck made for a great experience. The wines were all unique and had great flavor. From the porch pounders to the top of the line wines there was something for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommend making an appointment and enjoy a few hours at Auburn James. Ask for Tim, he was a great host, had fun stories, and provided a great tour of the grounds. When you are done, make sure to purchase several wines to enjoy back at home.

Auburn James was awesome. If you’re looking for a real Napa experience you want to stop here. Eric was such a wealth of information and such a great host. This was the best wine tour/tasting our trip. Great value, and would recommend to anyone. Great job Auburn James!
