Excellent experience. Warm cozy interior. Ordered the wedge salad which was fresh, crunchy and seasoned perfectly. Mushroom papadelle was amazing. My husband loved the burger. Fries are to die for (asked for ours well done) Server was on point. Super wine list. Definitely recommend!

New York strip, asparagus and an old fashioned made this a great dinner. Staff was super nice and the steak was literally perfect.

We had a lovely dinner at Goose and Gander. My wife and I took a dear friend to dinner there the other night. We all were impressed by the food, the atmosphere, and the service. The only negative is we would have liked to see a few more vegetarian options. Our friend is a vegetarian, so it was tricky for her to find much in the way to eat. There were options, but it would have been nice to have had a few more. The hors d'oeuvres were fantastic! The peach and almond salad was very tasty. My steak was cooked to perfection as was my wife's salmon. Everything was very yummy. The pumpkin cheese cake was amazing!

Everything on this menu is amazing. We have been here many times- we love to bring visitors. For starters, they serve the best cocktails in the valley! The mushroom soup is amazing but here’s a little secret tip- ask for the demitasse portion. It’s so rich but so delicious- the small size is perfect. The burger and fries are famous for good reason but this time the NY strip steak was what we were all delighted with! It was the best steak we’ve had in a long time. Desserts were all delicious- especially the bread pudding and the hummingbird cake!

Best place ever. I had the special of Halibut. It was phenomenal. Also ordered milk bread and chicken wings very very good. Finally, it was a friends birthday and received a hummingbird cake with ice cream. May be the best thing I ever ate. Amy

We visited for New Years Eve for their special fixed menu. Even though it was fixed there were still plenty of options to satisfy the varying tastes of each of our party. Especially great were the scallops, probably the best I ever had. The other person who also ordered scallops agreed. We also visit on non holiday nights and have always had great service and food. Their enclosed patio is very nice and allows well behaved dogs. Our whole family is happy in the patio.

Fabulous dinning experience! We sat outside since the weather was so nice. I had the millionaire cocktail which I liked immensely since it was on the tart side. The G&G burger with the crispy bun and duck fat fries was off the chart delicious! The fried squash blossoms were good but not great to me. I just did care for the salsa Verde they were served with. The pecan pie was perfection! Great way to end the meal. It wasn’t overly sweet which was a wonderful surprise. Great service and ambience!

The food was amazing as well as the service and cocktails. It got a little loud but we were seated right by the kitchen. Besides that it was all great and enjoyable. I would recommend this place for those wanting an upscale dining experience.

We had the nicest meal at Goose & Gander a few weeks ago! The staff was very attentive and kind, the drinks were great and the food was wonderful. We ate downstairs and really appreciated the ambiance of the bar. Hopeful to come back again soon.

Their outdoor dining is really where to be. String lights, and heaters really warm the environment, and make for a really inviting dining experience. The pork ears were delicious, the cocktails were well-crafted, and they had a very impressive wine list. We were told this would be more of a 'tourist-trap', but we decided to check it out anyway, and I'm glad we did!

No vetos ever to come here, as I did plenty during my two months in St. Helena. They welcome you with open arms, even when you show up right before they are closing.

Wine list is approachable with something for every taste (and budget). Bar staff is stellar and fully versed in their menu and mixology.

Sommelier is a full active body in-service, clearing our plates and engaging at every opportunity. Could even see disappointment when we sneakily poured our own wine.

Food is an outstanding assemble of bar and comfort cuisine. Some enjoyable dishes include: burger, steak, sweetbreads, seafood stew, pig's ear, octopus, meatballs, scallop crudo, chicken, shrimp cocktail, Caesars salad, etc. James Beard won't be beating down the door, but food is solid and consistent...and surprisingly well valued.

Ambiance is perfect for your last nightcap drink after drinking wine all day. Drink menu is well formulated, so try something different.

To have the whole package like this, action needs to start at the top with people who care. When visiting in Napa, you'll find me here several nights of the week.

Recommend making reservations on the weekends, tables fill up fast. Visited on a Saturday evening party of six. Staff was wonderful, present and tentative. Our family drinks water like crazy and the waiter was on top of it never had to ask for a refill. Steak was amazing sauce was delicious, hamburgers looked so good we had to order one. Nice variety menu and some unique dishes and large wine list at least 50+. Love the atmosphere. There is a small bar downstairs, seating indoors and outside.
We will definitely come back.

Sat outside and it was absolutely lovely. Our server was very good at his job, and the food was all great. Highly recommend their mushroom soup. Hands down the best mushroom soup I've ever had.

Fabulous experience at Goose and Gander. The food went well with the ambience and good service topped off the great experience. The corn croquettes are a must try and have a great balance between the corn and breading. The sweet potato rolls come highly recommended as well. It all was great and you really can not go wrong.

We had three of the cocktails in the downstairs bar. Incredibly crafted with a lot of unique combinations. Every single one was a masterpiece, especially the Mellivora Capensis. The atmosphere and service were wonderful as well. Excellent place to grab a drink!

We ate dinner here the first night outside / upstairs. Food was really good and so was the paired wine. The best part of this place for us was the bar / speakeasy downstairs. We didn’t even realize it was there the first night at dinner and came back with friends a couple nights later for cocktails. Great people watching with super cool, old school vibe.

Went during restaurant week and had a great experience in the basement!! The cocktails were all so delicious and our bartender was excellent. We ended up just getting dinner downstairs. Very tasty!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The food was delicious and they offer a wide variety of cocktails. The yellow fin tuna was excellent!

Really enjoyed ourselves here. Really cute patio, great cocktails, and we were happy with all of our food choices - our waiter graciously offered to split our plates and we were quite delighted with the portion sizes.

This place is by far the best hidden gem in Napa. The ambiance, food & service was amazing. We had a perfect romantic dinner under a permission tree and string lights in a garden. The cheese was the best cheese I’ve had since I was in Europe. Thank you for making our evening so special!
