Witnessing the firefighters in action on Solberg Dr on 07/06/2023 was a testament to their rigorous training and unwavering dedication to their noble profession. With focused determination, they skillfully battled the flames, their synchronized movements and seamless teamwork evident in every step they took. Despite the intense heat and chaotic environment, their composure and confidence were unwavering.

Their commitment to serving the community in times of crisis is truly commendable. The impact of their swift response and decisive actions cannot be overstated. They not only extinguished the flames but also provided a sense of security and hope to all those affected.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the West Pierce Fire Rescue team.

I live in Lakewood, and you have been called multiple times to my home. I present with symptoms of an overdose. I go into respiratory arrest. You intubated me once right outside my house in July and I was put on a vent.
The last time happened, on Oct 30th, I was rushed again to hospital. You got me there in time and they intubated me and put me on a vent again.
I am a C3 spinal cord compression injury. My first surgery in 2013 was C4 to C7.This surgery in January was from C3 to T1. I am told there will be a third. It will be at C2. 🤷🏻
At C3, my diaphragm does not function correctly. It is extremely weak. And susceptible to catastrophic fail. It usually starts with the onset of severe dehydration. It's fairly quick.. It can happen within the span of one day. This does not allow by compromised kidneys to flush out toxins.(meds not flushing out? Sure. I'm on low dose of oxy 10mg since 2013 ...and no..no overdoses thank God...but there most certainly can be a build up in my system.)
My blood pressure tanks. This causes a fatal cascade in which I go into respiratory arrest.
I tell you this because number one I think everybody needs to know how wonderful you are, and also because I saw a review below... from an actual Google reviewer lol... Who wrote a long diatribe about being mistreated for where she lived. I can tell everybody who is reading this, this could not be further from the truth. You thought, as others surely did, that I was a druggie who overdosed. And you gave me your all. If you hadn't I wouldn't be here. You care for everyone's life. people expect perfection from you... from physicians..
Just as they did once from me... I'm a retired ICU/ER nurse. So I get it. I want to thank you... All of you.
Those words feel so inadequate... You saved my life.. several times.
I was going to send pizza honestly lol Then I thought that sounded absurd. So, please accept my heartfelt gratitude for taking care of me...
You will probably be called out again. I'm doing everything I can to mitigate that happening. I am on a ventilator at night here in my home and I am on oxygen two liters...
Hopefully I am not a frequent flyer...

They arrived fast and saved a duck that was tangled up in fishing line in a cold lake. They showed up and went right in!! Animal control said no, park crew said sorry can't help, fish and wild life never called back, and I had nothing to offer her to help. Thank you guys for helping that duckie!! My heart is forever touched!!!!

Fast, courteous response to what ended up being a false carbon monoxide alarm. Thank you for the service.

Was in need of emergency medical assistance due to a potentially deadly problem. I feel like the paramedics judged me based on the general area in which i live. They tried talking me out of going to the hospital... then when the got me into their brand new medic vehicle the made me sit on a bench... it hurt i had been vomiting due to a blockage in my intestines... Because they didn't take me seriously, i had a lengthy wait in the emergency room. I had nearly died. I was in the hospital for a week. I DID have reason to be innfear for my life, but they treated me like i was putting them out... like i should have called a cab. I am from a family of firefighters/paramedics... i truly felt i was judged based on where i live... which a lot of people do. This is unacceptable behavior as members of the fire service.
