Bann at Oak Knoll Napa Hotel

This place is beautiful. You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into making the grounds feel like a sanctuary.

We enjoyed the Sauna, the 3 course chef's breakfast with a view, the hot tub, (ask staff to turn the heat on if it isn't hot) and we were greeted at breakfast with champagne and sweet treats the morning of my boyfriend's birthday.

The staff was so friendly, the food was delicious, and the view is beautiful. It was our first time in Napa and we wanted to stay somewhere where you wake up and eat breakfast staring out at vineyards, and that was this place. It was raining for half of our trip and we still enjoyed the stay here.

Great place for bed and breakfast that's a bit more upscale and a little more private than the house style ones, and more special than generic hotel experience.

We stayed in the king bed room.

Good driving location, 10 minutes from stuff downtown, 30 minutes max from Castle, northern wineries. Definitely have a car.

Absolutely everything about our stay here was perfect! The hotel is beautiful - like a piece of Thailand in Napa. The staff are all outstanding - so friendly (without being intrusive), helpful, kind & professional. The setting is blissful - vines and mountains and nature. And the food is out of this world - we did the chefs tasting dinner at the restaurant in Napa and it was the best Thai food we have eaten in our 8 years in the US (& we eat a lot of Thai food). It was delicious and so beautifully done. I highly recommend it. Breakfast and the tea and snacks on arrival were wonderful too. We can't wait to come back!

I cannot give this place more praise. The room we stayed in was quiet, spacious, and the staff is so friendly! The produce they provide on site is so fresh, it’s some of the best tasting fruit I’ve had! The food alone is worth giving its own review; it’s to die for! Our liaison, First, ensured our stay was the best experience possible. I don’t think there are many places quite as unique as this in the area. We will certainly be back!

The location of this property is centrally located on the border of Napa and St. Helena. It’s a calm oasis with welcoming staff.
The breakfast was incredible and worth waiting until 9am to have. Breakfast times are 9am, 9:30am and 10am.
It was perfect for a romantic getaway, but equally family and pet friendly.
I can’t wait to return.

Amazing stay! This little bed and breakfast is quiet and beautifully decorated. The rooms were modern, spacious, and luxurious including a gorgeous soaking tub in the bathroom with salts included. The food is fresh - much is grown right on the property and the Thai chef/owner is well known and respected for her many restaurants in San Francisco. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating of young kids. Plenty of outdoor seating and space which was great for covid, including a pool and hot tub amidst amazing views of the mountains and vineyards. We actually had the whole place for a family reunion and it was perfect - so special!! Would definitely return.

Bann was such a beautiful place to stay in Napa. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. Hosts are so lovely and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic.

Update: After receiving the text and posting the review, the director reached out to us to make it right. He invited us to Bann once they reopen and assure the stay was nothing but stellar which I really appreciated. I just got back from my stay and can confirm everything was spectacular! From the facility to the rooms to the service, they exceeded my expectations. All the workers there were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing but great. It felt like we were family. I have stayed at many hotels but the rooms at Bann was just breathtaking and so unique and very spacious. I love the little details such as fresh flowers vases and orchids in the room. I always appreciate when there's a tub in the room to soak and relax at night. Another bonus is they provide afternoon tea upon arrival and served breakfast in the morning. My only regret is I didn't stay longer. I have nothing but positive things to say about Bann and I will definitely be back for another staycation and celebrations. I highly recommend Bann if you're looking for a place to stay in the Napa area!

I had made a reservation back in August for my trip in January and I just received these text messages saying they will be close for renovations. No sorry for the inconvenience? How about “Would you like us to cancel your reservation or would you like to rebook for another date?” Nope instead they wrote, “So you need me to cancel your reservation or you need to cancel.” They are so unprofessional and making it sound like it’s an inconvenience for THEM. It’s inconvenient for me cause now I have to find another place to stay. Thanks a lot.

I have been to many exclusive luxury hotels and restaurants around the world and this place matches all of them! The property is located in the heart of the Napa Valley vineyards with amazing panoramic views. Not only the food was incredible, the service and staff where attentive to detail and very kind. I would highly recommend this place! I would get reservations before this place becomes a yearly wait.

Magnificent stay! It was our first time in Napa, and our boutique, Thailand-themed hotel stay did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we were greeted with a warm smile by Tony. Tony knew exactly who we were and greeted me by name! He made my husband, and I feel welcomed and helped us with our bags. I thought that was the sweetest thing and super personable.

We had afternoon tea and cookies outside our room. We stayed in the Suvarn for our 1-night stay. Fresh flowers were strategically placed throughout the space. It was such a tranquil scent that made you feel at home. The bathroom alone was amazing and worth every penny! We had a 3-course breakfast, which was nice and peaceful at our designated table outside of our room. The view of the vineyards was unforgettable! We only interacted with Tony, and he was such a joy and very prompt. We will be returning when we revisit Napa!

A spectacularly unique B&B! The service was friendly and outstanding without being intrusive. We stayed in room #6, it was beautifully decorated and stocked with all the amenities you could possibly imagine. The food was fresh (they grow vegetables in house) and delicious and it just kept coming…kudos to chef Lalita! Our kids and pup loved the pool and open snack bar! Everything here was well thought out-just an amazing experience! We loved our stay!

We loved our weekend getaway at Bann, which exceeded our expectations. The grounds, common spaces, and rooms are all gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. The resort has several beautiful covered outdoor spaces which accommodate social distancing needs very naturally, and the al-fresco dining in the picturesque Napa Valley setting is delightful. The food, in particular, deserves a special call-out. From the delicious fresh fruit served as snacks, to the Thai-style breakfasts, to the elaborate dinners incorporating produce from the on-site garden, everything was interesting and delicious and was served with care and attentiveness. We'll most certainly be back!

Oh wow, this place is everything we wanted and more. It is nestled between a vineyard and a beautiful mountain range. Every luxury seemed to be considered and integrated into our stay. The rooms are spacious and the oversized bathtub and provided salts offer a great soak. It was a great place for larger parties but spacious enough to provide privacy when we wanted it.

Oh, and the food!!! Be sure to come hungry. The chef and staff were amazing. They were very accommodating to our group’s food restrictions. Everything was so tasty.  Sometime in the afternoon, I recommend asking for Chi-Tea. So good!

Overall, it is a wonderful hidden secret just outside Napa. The food was amazing, the service was thoughtful, and the space welcoming. If you are looking for a relaxing time individually or as a group, I could not recommend Bann at Oak Knoll any higher!

We have been to Bann at Oak Knoll several times and this is a true gem in the wine country. It is located off the main highways, nestled between vineyards in every direction. Off to the horizon are serene views of the mountains ranges that fringe the valley. The food here is spectacular and well presented. You can tell the chef and owners here care about the ingredients and quality of the food. There is a garden onsite that provide much of the vegetables and herbs on their menu.
There are only 6 suites here so it is quite exclusive. The suites are large and well designed in elegant Thai styles. Staying in the suites will make you feel like Thai royalty! There is also a infinity pool and hot tub that overlooks the vineyards and mountains beyond. If you're looking for a quiet stay away from large resorts and crowds, this is certainly a great choice.

Had an incredible stay here last weekend. The rooms are gorgeous and luxurious, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the grounds were completely beautiful, and the chef cooked the most incredibly delicious meals including veggies and herbs grown in the garden on the property. We did the cooking class on Saturday and had a lot of fun with that as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Beautifully furnished rooms, very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delicious too. Owners are welcoming and friendly. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We felt like royalty.

Superb location. Very exquisite, swanky, classy and luxurious surrounded by nature. If you love to treat yourself and don't mind lavishing, this is the place to visit. Good Thai food. The waffle and chicken were delicious.

If you are looking for heaven on earth, go to Bann now! Like being transported to Thailand with luxury beyond your wildest imagination. Bann opened a short while ago, and will soon be booked months in advance. Resident Chef cooks up the most tantalizingly delish cuisine! I hesitate to leave this review, as I’m sure it will be impossible for me to acquire one of the 6 suites soon! They are growing their own organic herbs and veggies including special fragrant basil used in some of their specialties! As if this is not enough, they use ECOS products! I am sensitive to caustic ingredients used in many detergents. Here at this organiic paradise I don’t have to worry!
Last but never least are the staff! Eager to please, respectful of your social distancing needs, they are following guidelines to insure all are as safe as possible! Book the entire resort for your companies needed retreat, or bring the family for a safe alternative to quarantining at home!. Thank you Bann for a much needed 3 day get away!!!

Wonderful and relaxing getaway for our Babymoon! We enjoyed everything about our stay and the staff was warm and welcoming. Highlights include the large and very comfortable room (we stayed in the Wiang Phing room), nice bathroom, robes, towels and Jasmine scented bath products, the delicious afternoon refreshments and drinks served upon arrival and the breakfast (with Thai dishes of choice), the salt water pool, and the friendly and helpful staff! The location was central to downtown Napa, Yountville, St. Helena area (less than 20 min drive away) and was quiet. Because this is a bed and breakfast (with less than half a dozen rooms), it never felt too busy or crowded here- can't wait to stay again! Thank you Chef Lalita and Bann Napa!

Through work I've spent a lot of time around this palce. Everyone is very professional and passionate about doing their best no matter what it is they are doing on site. You just don't see that these days. After I met the owner I realized why. She is very hard working and cares deeply about what she does. "Your work should from here, your heart. It's not just about money. The effort you put into your job, it's a part of you." Very inspirational person, I can see why the staff works so hard.
