We absolutely love the magic lamp restaurant. Great food, great menu, great prices. It is so beautiful and nostalgic. A part of socal history. have been coming here for over 50 years. I hope they never change a thing

I remembered driving past here years ago, before the 210 was extended and it has stuck in my craw to want to come back and eat here ever since.
We stopped in for lunch and were greeted right away by the super friendly hostess/waitress/bartender.
We originally just stopped to look around and take some pictures, but between the super friendly greeting we received upon walking in, and my kids being in awe of the decor, as was I, we decided to stay and grab a bite.
Everyone was super happy with what they ordered. I got the Monte Cristo, and it was AMAZING! The best one I've had in years. Good enough that I would even consider driving all the way up from Long Beach just to have another!
Though we had a pleasant lunch experience, I really want to come back for dinner next time.
I must sit in that room with the big round fireplace and I have to see that magical sign out front in it's full glory (it was off today).
This place is a treasure and worth the drive from wherever you might live!

Beautiful classic steakhouse! Food was really well prepared and the ambiance was unforgettable. The lamb chops and prime rib were cooked to perfection - as were the sides.

The decor and ambiance remind you of an old school hollywood movie. The space is quite big and we've been here for a wedding party in their banquet area downstairs and a couple years back for a corporate event in another banquet. My experience here has been consistently good. HIGHLY recommend!

This place is amazing! The place is gorgeous! My bride and I came for our 30th anniversary and we are really glad we did. We had the CHATEAUBRIAND and it was fabulous! I cannot give the review six stars, so five and this review will have to do. All this and over 300 varieties of wine. Too much good stuff! Just fantastic. Go there. This weekend. Absolutely recommended!

I have been going to the Magic Lamp for the last few years for dinner, drinks & karaoke. Recently I have been taking my 94 yr. old Mom with me. The place is unique and very welcoming. The food is always great (their chips are delicious), the service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the large portions they serve. Tuesday night karaoke draws a very talented, friendly class of people. It has a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. You have to come and experience it for yourself.

Weds night is definitely a night to go. Wasn't busy and we had great service from our waiter and the bartender. We will definitely be back.

This was our first visit to the Magic Lamp. The decor here is beautiful. Atmosphere is very relaxing. Now food. DELICIOUS!! From the salad, the fresh fruit, the vegetables, the salmon and dessert - everything was absolutely fantastic!! I already want to return!!

We had an absolutely lovely evening dining at the Magic Lamp Inn. The atmosphere was intimate, rustic, and classy. The scrumptious appetizers, shrimp cocktail and crab cake special, kicked it off. We both had specials, the lobster surf and filet mignon turf, perfect. Even the steamed veggies were tasty. So much to complement, the staff was busy but attentive, excellent service. If you haven't eaten here yet, it's a definite must. Oh, and the cheese bread is to die for.

Truly tremendous experience! Just went here today to celebrate my Grandma's birthday around 3pm and the service was superb! I don't remember the waitress's name, but she was an angel. I'm not kidding. Very attentive and courteous, she even helped us put our leftovers away (which I've never seen at any restaurant before, the waitress putting away the food for you). She was so sweet 🤩. Mind you, the prices on the food are a bit high, hence the reason for coming here during the lunch hours, so this would be a good place for a date or a family gathering. My brother and I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was so good!!!!🥪

Visited the Magic Lamp Inn for a celebration dinner; everyone was wonderful and answered every question we had. Dinner was amazing, and the atmosphere was even more amazing!

The best experience ever!! Loved everything about this place! Service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a magical experience!

Cozy, romantic, relaxing evening at Magic Lamp. Dinner was divine (prime rib and piccata). Our server Alfonso was very accommodating. Dessert, homemade tiramisu, soooo tasty! We learned on Saturdays there’s a saxophonist playing…will have to come back to enjoy that too!

We retired to high desert 6 years ago. This was our main place to eat and dance to some of the bands. Says temporarily closed. I clicked website link and it says grand reopening soon! I subscribed to the email. We go back down to visit our adult children but not usually spend the night. This week we were so checked the website. I subscribed to the email to see when it if/will reopen. I will post back if it does.

Nice ambiance, excellent service and good food! Their bread wasn't that great, it was really hard, but everything else made up for it. I will definitely be going back!

Sadly, the Magic Lamp Inn has closed their doors for good. What a historical place it is too...

Wow! This place is amazing! And, the food was delicious! If you are looking for a hidden gem, you found it! It's timeless, classic and the staff is incredible, especially Scott. He was great! He really added a 5-star quality to our experience. If you're looking for a red-carpet experience, ask for Scott. You'll feel like you've hit the jackpot!

Such an awesome throwback place. Old school dishes and cocktails in a classic setting. They don’t just bank on the nostalgia of the place. Price points are very reasonable as well for the quality of the food/drink.

The food is legitimately great and the staff seems like a family that really cares about their restaurant. Our waiter Scott was a great host and super helpful. And the bartenders make great drinks( try the aviator or the grilled pineapple margarita, Mike’s creation). If you are ever in area- whether driving through on Route 66 or just visiting- you definitely have to check it out.

A fabulous evening of delicious chateaubriand served flaming, tableside. Live piano music, perfect weather and attentive staff.

I was doing repairs on the stained glass windows. This place is huge. And super nice inside. There doing general maintenance and revamping. Won't be open for another 2 to 3 months. Excited to see it back in full force.

This was the first time me and my wife have ever been there. And it was amazing. We were greeted right away and our server Scott was very attentive. We had a very nice and romantic dinner. We will definitely be looking forward to going here again.
