This store has the most extensive inventory of beautiful and functional decorative hardware for new or old home designs to bring out the best of your home. My wife and used their services and products for many years.

If they don't have it they will find it. Latch, locks, hinges etc. etc. etc. Overwhelming while I was looking for cabinet pulls🤪

If you're looking for a pleasant shopping experience, ask for Nicole. She's wonderful. Very knowledgeable. Having chairs while you have to wait sometimes would be nice.

I needed to repair the door handle on an 18 year old door. The door company does not sell hardware for the door unless a new door is being purchased. Attempts to contact the company were not answered for three days. I called SD hardware and one of their associates, Joey, spent quite a bit of time over two days trying to assist me. At his desk, we looked up the manufacturer; the door company and it's hardware was difficult to locate on line, and again, it was not for sale separately. Joey was patient with my ignorance of hardware and instructed me on the best way to possibly resolve the problem.
When I finally took the door apart completely and found the broken latch, another associate at SD hardware gave me a part that was incredibly similar to my broken one. The key word here is gave. It was not a part that they sold, so she "gave it to me." The door is fully functional again. Unbelievable support provided by SD Hardware. They were very happy to help me even though it was apparent that I was probably not going be spending a lot of money on hardware. I'm not accustomed to that kind of service.

So far they have had all the items i been looking for. Is an awesome hardware store. They have old styles of hardware that regular store wont have. Defenitly ill be back many more times.

San Diego Hardware has great customer service. Greeted when I walked in and Jane and Vicke in Sales were both extremely helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. The store is nicely layed out with lots of displays.

Vicki is the best! I had so many questions and not a clue what I was doing with a new Dutch door I purchased. She spent so much time discussing all the things I should have known, but didn’t. The selection is amazing and the service was AMAZING! Thank you, Vicki

I have had a wonderful experience working with Leslie on two different home projects. Leslie is not just a sales person but a designer! She helped coordinate door hardware for many doors, some old, some new and for cabinets all over my homes. She is so organized and made it easy for me to get her all the measurements she needed. She labeled and shipped everything to me for an out of state project. The store also has a great selection of quality hardware. I would not go anywhere else! It is so nice to shop at a place that values customer service and wants to help you.

Such a fun place! It's like you're on an HGTV show! And the people who work here are right out of central casting! Lisa, with her playful wit serves as Frankie's muse. And Frankie... what a talent! Such a conversationalist and will somehow make buying a handle for a cabinet worth the trip to Kearny Mesa. But then there's Jane,... Sweet Jane! What a delight!

This is a great place for hardware, handles, plumbing, and accessories. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. There is a full selection at all grades from mid to high end. The lot has ample parking and it is easy to find. I do miss the nostalgia of the old downtown location, but no loss of excellence in selection. The staff is good, but you will have to stay in contact and keep up with your order. They stay super busy, so be patient and you will have a great experience.

This place is awesome. I used to come here when they were in downtown San Diego. They have just about everything you can think of for restoration & improvement hardware. I live in an old apartment, and I'm often inspired on things to do around my place to maintain that "old school" style of the 20s &30s. It's expensive but worth it if you're doing a restoration project. Oh, and they have a resident mascot dog named Coconut.

I had the occasion to visit SD Hardware for the first time due to our master bath remodel. I was instantly greeted by Ema. I explained the scope of my project, the items I was looking for and showed her a few pictures of what had caught my eye online. Being my first experience, I was overwhelmed by the 1,000's of choices but with Ema's patient assistance and the ability to take product samples home, we found the perfect items. In this day of questionable customer service, it was a pleasure to work with someone who provided 5 star service. I highly recommend SD Hardware for its large selection of quality products in all price ranges and their outstanding customer service.

I placed an order at SD Hardware for some house numbers with Liz Ayala. She was very courteous, helpful and answered all my questions.

She was very professional and knowledgable about the product and projects a very positive image for the company overall.

They had some American-made and Taiwan-made hardware. Nice to have options other than Communist country originated stuff like at big-box stores. Military/Veteran discount too 🇺🇸

I had great success with a rep named Faith. I think some of the reps aren't as good. Yet, the selection is incredible and they will price match. I would definitely use them again.

My wife and I have purchased a fair amount of hardware from San Diego Hardware over the years. Product selection is excellent, Rebecca in sales is top notch. I called today to get help with mind-frazzeling problem with a lockset I picked up yesterday. Rebecca got my number and I got a call back in two minutes from a guy named Brian who solved my problem in 1 minute. This is really excellent service! I highly recommend San Diego Hardware!
