Todd Chaney from Chaney Electric in Carlsbad, has graciously donated many bikes for our foster children at Straight From The Heart for the second year in a row! There will be many happy faces on Christmas morning due to Todd's gifts. Thanks again Todd!

My parents needed an electrician so I did a web search and contacted a couple of local companies. Todd was far more reasonable with his estimate than the other company (and he was in Carlsbad) so I went with Todd. I highly recommend Chaney Electric to anyone looking for diagnosis and repair. My parent's power went out in their living room and patio area. It turns out the cause was from a faulty outlet over the stove (when my parents had a new stove installed). The original installer connected to one of the living room wires and ran a new wire across the attic to provide power above the stove. When they did this, they also added an outlet above the stove. The diagnosis was difficult because the attic wires were covered with blown in insulation (so a quick peek just didn't work). Todd was able to track it down and repair the melted wire through his efforts and expertise. Job Well Done Chaney Electric!! My parents are super happy and Todd treated them very fairly. We (my parents and I) highly recommend Chaney Electric.

I have worked with Todd for a very long time at our property in Oceanside. Having been in property management for over 23 years I can honestly say that I have never met an electrician with greater knowledge and more Integrity than Todd.  He always has his customers best interests in mind and that means he will not cut corners. And he will take the time to explain to you why such and such is not the best application or the best idea or perhaps even not to code. If you want something done absolutely perfectly right, so that you can have peace of mind, then Todd is the person to call.

Todd did a bunch of work for us. He treated us well. He replaced our 2 electric panels, fixed switches and other items that simply made our electricity work better and/or better than it was prior. He does things the right way so that you get a good result that lasts, and doesn't take short cuts that others have done before him which were the causes of all of the issues he addressed. He is at the top of his craft.

Todd Chaney was very knowledgeable about his profession. Easy to get along with and on time, perfect schedule. We had a total remodeling process that Todd made easy. He knows the codes and all his work is clean and top notch. I couldn't suggest a better man for the job.

My fiance and I were remodeling the back yard and decided to add some outdoor lighting around the bbq and fire pit. Chaney Electric accepted the job and exceeded out expectations with their work. It was great to have one of the most decorated electricians in San Diego working on our project because we were sure the job would get done correctly the first time. We love our new back yard.

Chaney Electric replaced my outdated breaker box, added outlets, added lighting, and fixed some broken switches. He did a great job and I will be using them in the future for my home electrical needs. Todd was very easy to talk with and answered all my questions. I tried to install a dimmer switch. Once I opened up the wall I got more than I bargained for. Todd was responsive and flexible, showed up on-time, finished early, explained what went wrong. I will call him again!

Called Chaney Electric and asked for a quote AFTER I told him my issue he told me he was going on vacation for two weeks and I would need to call someone else. Don't get why he wouldn't tell me that from the start. Seem to me he just didn't want to bother. That's ok, but be upfront about it. So much for integrity.
