Smart & Final Extra!

Great store & staff. Good deals on produce. Plenty of household goods, soaps, cleansers.

Never a long wait to check out. Plenty of employees at ANY given time. I have yet to have to hunt down an associate for assistance. Great prices and friendly staff make for a decent shopping experience.

Never been to a Smart n Final with better customer service!! I am pregnant and was having a craving issue - Jessica (purple hair and rainbow mask) singlehandedly SOLVED my issue and made me sooo grateful. I also felt so comfortable there as a Transperson because not only was she wearing a rainbow mask, but she also had her pronouns written directly on her name tag! My partner also had two great encounters with her today - once while working DoorDash and doing a shop for a customer and a second time after work when she checked him out. Wonderful human. So glad she works there. Truly a Jedi master as her belt said! THANK YOU JESSICA!!

My five stars is for the ladies at the register & in the bakery. Especially Monique who went above and beyond helping me with cupcakes today. It was so refreshing to have great customer service. Thanks Monique!

I've stopped in here a few times and will definitely visit many times more. Shelves are always tidy. We were looking for something in particular one visit, and the lady who i believe was the manager on duty was very attentive and took extra care to find out for us. We were pointed in the right direction for what we were looking for.

My once-used-to-be-Albertsons neighborhood market became Smart & Final. Don't pay enough attention to groceries to know which one had better prices. These guys had a nice selection of things I could pick from. Their danish was delicious. Their rotisserie chicken? Holy moly - no joke, it made me have to think if I liked theirs better or Costco's... I still don't know. Really friendly staff. Helpful.

The Carlsbad store is one I drive past the Encinitas store to get to the freeway north bound.
Once in a while the Encinitas store has a good manager. The Carlsbad store is always consistently well stocked shelves and helpful employees on the floor. The produce section is excellent in Carlsbad, as is the meat counter. It is a long drive to get what I need.

What a great little store! I'm visiting Carlsbad from Palm Springs and happened into the store across the street from my hotel. I've never been to a Smart N Final "extra" before but if I had one at home, it would be "my store"! The employees were all friendly and helpful!!!!!!

Conveniently located off the 5 Freeway Carlsbad Blvd exit. Not all Smart & Final Extra are the same. Great deal on the eggs. Spend $25 and get a dozen for .99 each, max 4.

Awesome store. Roasted chickens make dinner quick and easy!! Nice produce. Flowers are beautiful and have great prices!

Great store, great produce. Their rotisserie chicken is divine and cheap. A 3 pound fully cooked bird for only $6 49 or less!

Love these stores!! So happy to see them everywhere in San Diego. The staff are always helpful, friendly and actually present. I find what l need everytime l shop here.

Does Smart & Final I've ever been in good variety of products large selection very good people that work there all around experience was excellent or Beyond excellent if there's such thing.

The only grocery in walking distance from Carlsbad Village, and fortunately it's a good one! Prices are good, selection is excellent considering their size.

Waaaaay better than the Albertsons that used to be there, & whatever the name of the place after that...which was there for about 2 months.

I found everything I was looking for! Quality is excellent! Customer service was outstanding I have a broken wrist that they were very accommodating! 🤩

I do not get too Smart & Final very often, but when I do it's always a great experience.
