Edit! So I finally finished the first half of my procedure (ripping out all my teeth and going implants. It was muchhhhh easier than expected! Much thanks to the staff for making things as comfortable as possible even though I can be a difficult person lol

So I am an autistic adult and have a HUGE fear of the dentist from a traumatic experiences as a child. My PTSD prevented me from seeing a dentist when my teeth started having serious issues. My situation got pretty severe over the years. I had recently been to a handful of dentist offices trying to find one that made me feel safe and comfortable and where my concerns were validated. Most offices were either rushing patients or wouldn’t explain things clearly. They also didn’t really accommodate my needs. Some even gave incorrect pricing info that was thousands of dollars off. Carlsbad Dental and Implant Center took the time that I needed to feel comfortable and they also very helpful to come up with a pricing option that I could actually afford where the other dentists made it nearly impossible. All of the staff and doctors are super friendly and helpful. And for me to say I like a place takes a lot since I am very picky.

The best team ever. Both in Carlsbad and their office in downtown San Diego. Linda go above and beyond insuring we leave satisfied also calling in and checking up on my healing process. Dr. Shawn and Dr. Raymond are hands down good at what they do.

Had to have 2 improperly done implants in back/ bottom removed from another dentist. Bone rescinded. Implants falling out. Dr Josh explained all he would do. Very detailed. Very helpful to understanding new process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this entire Dental Office as staff and the other dentists are professional and knowledgeable.

I couldn’t be happier..and healthier. Dr. Ray and the Carlsbad Dental group are a huge part of that. They have made a difference in my life. I am finally taking care of myself and the first step was my teeth. I was experiencing pain and dental loss. . I went to Carlsbad Dental and found Dr Ray to be warm, kind and be very gentle in his approach. I was hesitant as I had a negative dental experience years ago in Colorado. Dr Ray successfully removed two teeth and placed implants in addition to other dental care for me. . I was very anxious about this and I was not sedated. I am no longer afraid of a dental process. I had little pain and have found great relief. If you are looking for a dentist and group whom are professional, caring and very supportive, Dr Ray at Carlsbad Dental Care is the place to go.

A year ago I had an emergency, when an old front tooth cap broke. My then dentist could not see me nor had emergency protocol for patients. By sheer coincidence we found Carlsbad Dental Care. They immediately took care of me no runaround with paperwork and insurance forms. I was given care from the heart. They made everything right that very day and we have never looked back. Thank you guys ❤

For a couple of years, I have had a "pocket" or space in between two of my teeth, which I assumed was a cavity. Food has a tendency to lodge in that space. In April 2024, I visited the Carlsbad Office of Carlsbad Dental Care, and I was informed that because of its particular location, and the condition of the gums surrounding the space, it would not be advisable to insert a filling. I appreciate this assessment. (Being an engineer by training, I understood how this could occur.) I imagine that if I had been treated by a less professional and less ethical dentist, they might have simply performed the work, and filled in the gap with some quick fix / destined to fail procedure and submitted the bill to my insurance company. I appreciated the honesty and ethics of this dental office. Plain and simple.

Always have a good experience at this dental practice. Everyone is very skilled and attentive, and the staff is very kind. Highly Recommend them!

After an exhausting day at a dental clinic 'mill', I was given an exaggerated fee estimate for dental work that I didn't even want! On the way home, I was led to stop at Carlsbad Dental Care where they welcomed me as a walk in and provided same day repair on my two broken front teeth. The fee was affordable, the work done professionally and with skill and I left there looking like myself again, with a big smile showing my wonderful two new front teeth! The care and concern from the front office staff, from Linda the office manager and Dr. Denise and her assistant, is the kind of experience that I didn't think existed anymore. If I could, I'd give Carlsbad Dental Care 10*'s!! I highly recommend them with no reservations. My sincere gratitude to the office!

Had an appointment the other day, and I have genuinely never had a better experience at the dentist in my LIFE. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the women at the front desk were very accommodating and kind, and my dentist and dentist’s assistant were both so sweet and had me laughing the whole time. I told my whole family to start going here for their dental care and I would recommend them to anyone who asked. :) Also probably important to mention that my teeth feel great after the cleaning !!

From the moment I walked in the door, I felt better than I used to feel at Encinitas with a different dentist. Diamond was fabulous, Nallely was super helpful and I am so thankful for the overall care. As of 12/23 still receiving care and still love the staff and Dr. Josh.

In roughly April of this year, I was totally frustrated with the poor coverage provided by my Medicare insurance carrier, United Healthcare. I was calling all throughout the country seeking advice from various insurance broker friends regarding what I could do to get urgently needed dental work performed at an affordable price.

Living in Southern California, almost everyone suggested that I go to Mexico. However, I was uncomfortable with doing so for a variety of reasons, including follow-up care. I was fortunate to find Carlsbad Dental Care through their office manager, who is a long-time friend. They walked me through the complexities associated with insurance billing, and I paid cash to cover the rest. Not only was it affordable, but I walked out today with two dental implants and following dental cleanings which have resulted in my gums no longer bleeding.

I had not been to a dentist, except to extract teeth, in the 20-year period before my visit to Carlsbad Dental Care. Suffice it to say that I am a seriously happy camper today, which is 180 from where I was in April of this year. Thank you, Dr. Josh, Ms. Phillips, and all the supporting cast in your Carlsbad Office.

Both my husband and I had a great experience with this new dental group. The dentist was so friendly, made some suggestions but not pushy, the office staff was so personable and helpful in scheduling and appointment reminders. The office offers newer technology on teeth cleaning which was refreshing. After dealing with surely front office staff, the inability to bill insurance, trying to get reimbursed for overpayment, I am thrilled to find a new group that values your business and treats you as such.
