I got here late 15 minutes but they took me in a fill up application for my passport lady. She was wonderful customer service. It was excellent. It didn’t take me not even 30 minutes. It’s a small post office but it’s great to have somebody understand your situation. they deserve five star.

The staff is professional in all ways. The customer base here is highly diverse and occasionally unprepared or uninformed. Wait times mostly relate to customer traffic needs. Parking is there but not enough at busy times. Friendly and helpful whenever I've been there either at the counter or checking my box.

This Post Office is in the unincorporated town of Lakeside.
The employees do the best they can with what they have to work with.
Yes, it would help if local government would step up to clean the building up by painting and updating the interior. But until that happens, I'm grateful for it being there.

So it's a little post office in Lakeside. Came to mail a package for my daughter just prior to closing time. The clerk was very friendly and helpful since i didn't know what the hell i was doing. Guess I haven't mailed a package in awhile.

Others may have had a bad experience but mine was very positive! The people of Lakeside PO went above and beyond yesterday to offer passport services to the public. After usual Saturday hours 9-12, the PO opened for an additional 7 hours (!), 1:00--8:00 so that people could apply for or renew a passport or card. It was amazing! Applying for a passport can be daunting wading through the form and its requirements, but the postmaster, Angela, went personally to each person in line to make sure that they had all their documents in order and offered to make copies! Wow! And the PO also set up a table under an canopy where folks could get the passport forms and fill them out, with assistance too. If that wasn't enough, Michael had his good humor ready and his camera out to offer passport photos on the spot! When the passport processing began, there must have been 50 people lined up and there were 4 PO agents, Dave, Rosie, Ralph, and Perla, ready to help. As I watched and listened, each agent was friendly and courteous. Sure, the wait was long, but the service was great! Dolores was on hand at the door for crowd control, but everyone was patient and mellow (at least for the initial 2 hours I was there.) Thank you, Lakeside PO folks for going above and beyond to offer this needed service and do so much to make it happen!

I have always, always had great service at this location. I have a P.O. box there and they are always happy to help me. Sometimes, rarely, I forget my key and it's never a problem for them to bring my mail to me. I received excellent pass port services there. Everything was done in a timely manner and I got my new passport in time for a trip.

The carriers always come around the same time, for home delivery and are usually early. The large packages that don't fit in the locked box, are easy to pick up. There is sometimes a long time, right after work or on weekends. This is understandable, since it's a small office with a growing town.

Someone complained about mail being stolen from the outside box. This place is next to a park, that unfortunately is sometimes home to the homeless at night. So, yeah, just get out of your car, walk in and drop your mail in the slot INSIDE. But don't complain cause you were the lazy one.

I have seen people with bad attitudes when they walk in. So regardless of the experience they have bigger issues and nothing else to do besides complain about people who have to deal with the likes of them on a daily basis.

So, small town Post Office. Long term staff. Always helpful and respectful. I've never once had a bad experience. If you had one, you probably brought it with you.

I mislabeled a package missing the apt number, and after tracking indicated there was a problem with delivery - I called this post office, and they were able to message the carrier immediately, allowing for an instant redelivery. Yay! USPS using modern technology to provide excellent customer service, especially at this busy time of year. The person on the phone was so helpful, cheerful and kind. What an awesome post office experience! Merry Christmas!

Extremely friendly service, doing the best they can within the silliness that is the United States Postal Service. They were super helpful when we moved to the area and needed to get a mailbox key, and have been so friendly even in the face of the folks that come in with attitude. Is there sometimes a wait, sure. Are they doing the best they can, with the best attitude that they can, they sure are.

Been a lakeside resident over 40 years. Our post office employees have always been friendly and efficient as far as I am concerned. Gotta be a tough job dealing with people all day who may be unpleasant. I always try to be nice and smile and the sentiment is always returned!!!

I help run my family's business and we ship packages weekly through this post office.
Great people, friendly and fast!

My experience was USPS was amazing and very professional and never face any issue with them.

Thank you so much to the Postmaster, Supervisor, and David, for their exemplary assistance in finding a lost and insured package sent out of San Diego that was quite overdue and the tracking led to package being in Philadelphia for sometime and my niece in rural South Carolina waited for about 11 days before the first class package was located.

I thank the Postmaster for spending time with me and following up my inquiries and the supervisor for calling me and staying in communication and for David who helped be get the process started and who always has a smile to greet each customer.

Thank you again for your professional service and even calling the receiving office in South Carolina. Suzie, Anita, and David, you are what I looked forward to in moving to a small town-one customer at a time and courteous and such wonderful service.

Outstanding customer service. Sam helped me out today and went above and beyond. Took care of me and answered all my questions. I sent mom a package for her Birthday and I’m happy she will be getting it soon. Thank you US Post Office, Lakeside.

The staff there were nice, especially an employee whose name was Perla. I thank her very much. She made a great effort with me and she was very kind.

As long as you show up with your item already packaged/label on it. This location takes 10 minutes tops to drop it off at the counter and be done with the shipping process.

Maybe I went there when the good employees were on shift cuz they were quite nice. I was afraid they would be rude and mean like in the comments, or like other governmental offices, but I'm glad that wasn't the case.

Had a great passport experience. The woman who assisted me was a pleasure to work with.
