The people here are some of the most kindhearted and earnest people I have ever encountered in the pet world. About a year ago I had moved up to the Portland area, but recently I received a call about one of the feral/stray cats we used to TNR and care for in the neighborhood. He had been hit by a car, and his body was being held at the San Jose Animal Shelter.

The thought of this poor animal's final resting place being a landfill was too much to bear. I was able to get a hold of At Home At Rest, and through the most complicated mess the San Jose Shelter could throw at us, At Home At Rest worked closely with me to pick up his body and make sure he could be treated with the care and respect he deserved.

I can wholeheartedly say that these people care about you and your pets. Rest in Peace Grumpy, despite your poorly chosen name, you were a sweet cat, and I will forever miss you.

If you are going through this , considering putting your precious pet companion down just know it will never be easy no matter what .I cant compare it to anything else but to loosing a family member and that’s exactly what it is . That being said I can’t imagine going through this experience without the assistance and support of kind , compassionate ,understanding and educated soul such as Dr. Kuty. She made the process so easy and was full of love and compassion and support and understanding throughout the whole process .Dr. Kuty and her support staff are all first class . She showed us and our beloved pet plenty of love and compassion from day one to few weeks later when she brought back the ashes of our beloved and now RIP forever freckles . We strongly recommend Dr. Kuty’s services for any family that needs help with eliminating suffering and pain for their beloved pet and help with easy and comfortable passing . I have no doubt that I will meet Freckles again at the rainbow 🌈 bridge . Thank you Dr. Kuty and staff.🙏🙏

Through an immensely sad and difficult time, Dr. Kuty was absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't have changed a thing and I highly recommend her. Her staff is also very nice and understanding. They were very patient on the phone. Although they are not able to pick up every call since they're counseling others, they always got back to me within an hour or so. Excellent service all around!

My 14 yr old boy was getting too sick to care for and I promised him I'd never put him to rest in a vet's office. Dr. Kuty was so sweet and professional and directed us every step of the way. We had time to love on him and say goodbye between him going into a deep sleep and crossing the Rainbow Bridge. The process itself was beautiful amd comforting and I wouldnt change a thing. She clipped some tail fur for me to keep and asked me if he wanted to be cremated with anything so I wrapped him in his favorite blanket. After the transition was over I just held him like a swaddled baby and kissed him all over. Thank you Dr. Kuty

Dr. Kuty and her staff were incredible. Their kindness and empathy made an awful process so much less awful. Dr. Kuty texted us to let us know when she was on her way, was so respectful and empathetic when she arrived to provide her services and didn't rush us at all, and even texted us to check in a few days later. I would recommend At Home, At Rest to anyone needing compassionate care for their furbaby.

My husband and I were noticing that our cat Snowy was losing weight and made an appointment with the vet to get her checked out. The vet had diagnosed an issue with her liver and gave us some medicine to increase her appetite and reduce throwing up bile which was starting to happen consistently in the mornings. The vet thought that the nausea was preventing her from eating, however when we brought her home and administered the medication she went another 2 days without eating but a few bites. We got extremely worried and took her to an emergency vet clinic. Once there she stayed overnight to get fluids but the following day we received the unfortunate news that Snowy had high grade intestinal lymphoma. We were very devastated and had a very rough time accepting what was happening. The day we decided to euthanize was when we woke up and saw that she isolated herself from us in the closet. Over the last 11 years we had her, Snowy had always fallen asleep next to us, but this was the one night we woke up to find that she was isolated and having a very rough time fighting this disease. We didn’t want to see her struggle anymore and made the difficult decision to euthanize.

We chose at home euthanasia because we wanted to make sure that up until the last day we had with Snowy that she would feel comfortable and that’s exactly what we got when we called Dr. Kuty. My husband and I were an emotional mess all morning and during the process, but Dr. Kuty was extremely patient with us and helped us along the entire process. She checked in with us every step and made sure we were both ready to proceed and never made us feel rushed. It was thanks to her that Snowy got to have a peaceful goodbye in the comfort of her home.

I highly recommend going through this process with Dr. Maria Kuty if you also have come to the same difficult decision we did. You won’t regret having that comforting environment to say goodbye.

I cannot express or fully thank Dr. Kuty enough for her services here. She was immensely kind, gentle, and caring throughout the entire process. Although this time for anyone needing to say goodbye to a pet is absolutely heartbreaking, having this service where we could say goodbye in the comfort of our home made a world of difference. Our cat was comfortable not only in her passing but also with the doctor (got lots of pets and love). We felt very heard and taken care of every step of the way. We chose to have them arrange our cat's cremation and the urn and footprints are beautifully made and sit in our home. Cannot recommend At Rest enough. Thank you a million!!!!!

Dr. Kuty is absolutely the best during the hardest time of life. Lovingly saying Goodbye to your furry family members. Sadly, we're going to need her service for our 3rd, our oldest 20 year old Dachshund mix.

She was wonderful with our dog and so patient with us. I'm so happy that Maria helped us.

We set up a tent outside and filled it with pillows as our Seanessy could barely stand. We fed him doggy cake and even let him finally try chocolate. We gave him lots of love the entire time.

Maria was comfortable with the fact that we're not Christians and had no problems with us calling in my Goddess.

They she took care of the rest. She lovingly took our dog to get cremated and brought us back the ashes in a lovely container. I'll always be grateful to her. Thank you, Maria 💜

Over the years as a pet parent, I have come to appreciate the option of euthanasia as a merciful release, though an incredibly difficult decision to make. I was not aware of the option to have euthanasia performed at my home until January 22nd of 2018, when my precious cat Whiskers was in the final stages of kidney disease, a battle he fought long and hard. Whiskers had spent an incredible amount of time seeing vet specialists. Needless to say, our trips to the vet were his least favorite thing in the world. On this fateful day, I knew in my heart that my fur baby might not make it back home from the vet this time. I did NOT want the vet’s office to be the last place he saw.

I believe God heard my frantic prayers that morning, when I happened upon the website for “At Home, At Rest” and the benevolent Dr. Kuty. That same afternoon, Dr. Kuty came to my home, and my husband and I knew instantly from her kind, loving and empathetic demeanor, that she was a Godsend. I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through that painful day without her. With a gentle and caring manner, Dr. Kuty helped my fur baby leave this world with dignity, knowing he was dearly loved.

Sadly, on April 1st of 2019, my sweet 12 year old cat, Ebony, was losing his valiant fight with lymphoma. I didn’t even have to think twice- I knew I needed to have Dr. Kuty come once again to our home and help us through yet another heartbreaking journey. In her calm, loving and comforting way, Dr. Kuty helped us all through yet another devastating day.

As my husband and I struggle to come to grips with the loss of two beloved family members, it’s difficult not to think of the things we could have done differently. The one single bright memory on each of those two anguished days, is that of Dr. Kuty. Dr. Kuty handled both of my fur babies with genuine compassion. She respectfully and calmly explained the process to us before each step, taking the time to make sure our babies and us were comfortable. I believe God puts angels on this earth to help us get through very difficult times . . . Dr. Kuty is one of those special angels.

My husband and I honestly can’t imagine having to say goodbye to another one of our fur babies without Dr. Kuty by our side.

Dr Kuty will help your family's furbaby transition with kindness and compassion in a peaceful calm unhurried comfortable setting - your home. Worth every penny to spend every precious moment at home with your furbaby and not say goodbye in some sterile exam room.

We were actually supposed to go to Lick Observatory, but got as far as this park. It has walking trails and restrooms! We took both our 🐈 😻 and 🐕.
