Santee Lakes Campground

What a great weekend. First time at Santee, and had a great time. Spaces very level and campground is clean. Everyone seemed polite. Was pretty rainy, that's no reflection, just saying, it gets pretty muddy. Definitely plan on visiting again

Nice place and not so crowded, lots of space to bike and walk dog. Cell service is horrible though...tmobile and verison barely work. Lots of screaming little girls running around with no parents to tell them to be quiet. NO kids allowed in hot tub really nice rule!!!

I love this place to walk and eventually hang out.

The campground was clean and quiet. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the showers had plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the pools and the spa, and took a paddleboat out for spin around a lake. There are several playground areas that looked enticing, but we didn't have a chance to try them. We did use the laundry room, which had several newer washers and dryers; you can use quarters, credit card, or a wash card available at the general store.

Angry Pete's Pizza Place is fantastic, and has more than their excellent pizza. Highly recommended!

Nice campground. Tons of space at our site, and we pull a 40 ft 5th wheel. We had site 263. Activities are all around. Some limited cell service here, for whatever reason, as we are still really near homes and the community. Paddle boats, swimming, fishing, and plenty of places to walk or run. Easy in and out of our site. Looks like construction in their office will yield even more opportunities.

Parking is $4 for a regular car. Other than the fact you have to pay for the parking, everything is great. A lot of open space, birds, a couple of lakes, you can rent a pedal boat for $12/ half an hour or $16/h. Different playgrounds for kids. Its a really nice area to come with your kid or even yourself and relax

It was a very pleasurable trip I stayed in the cabin on the water and my siblings also stayed in the cabins next to me I have other siblings in the cabins on the on the land and it was just the most awesome experience there was fishing campfires pedal boats that went to each cabin to use whenever we wanted Everything is in the cabin as far as cook ware, full kitchen space for 6 to sleep. It was a really enjoyable experience, I would definitely do it again It at first, seemed pricey, but in the end, it was well worth every penny.

This is a great state park we spent 5 weeks at. We had a couple of different rv sites, my last rv site was better than the first, but both sites were level and clean. This is a state park so ants can be problematic; so make sure you have Diatomaceous Earth. The park has several fishing ponds, and is great for long walks as the park is huge. Different parts of the park have different atmosphere, so you may want to be aware of that. Some parts of the park are close together, and on rocky road gravel, but most spots are spacious and hard-packed. Over-all a great state park for RVs.

Santee Lakes is a little bit of Heaven on earth. When you’re there, you will forget you are in a city… the cabins on the lake are exceptional.

It’s been a min since my family & I have been here, but came the the other day & it looks way better, new outdoor restaurant & a deck & a beautiful scenery, definitely coming back.

One of the best places in San Diego, the seven lakes give you a variety options to play with kids, relax, take pictures, or rent their puddle boats.
Highly recommended this place!

An extra note: you'd have to pay parking fee to get inside the park with your car, the prices are cheap and vary from 3-15$ depending on the type of your car/suv/RV, and so on!

Love camping here so pretty. You can fish, ride bikes, they have pool, playground. Alot of course places to walk. All kinds of different birds to see.

Awsome place to take the kids for an adventure, it has a friendly community and well maintained park, local fishing, small boats for the kids, ducks everywhere and overall just kid friendly!

Santee Lakes is a great weekend or weekday getaway. I really enjoy myself when I go. I rent Cabin and have a great memorable time. And my Family does to. Thank you!

In the summer time this place is blowing up with fish, it’s A great place to go biking, hiking, camping, picnics, and all sorts of different activities. Went magnet fishing a little while ago, and cleaned out the lakes a lot. We found lots of fishing line, old metal chunks, just a bunch of trash,

Beautiful setting with fishing, food and camping.

Nice cabin. Mattress cover very slippery when you put the sheets on, coffee maker small but over all not a problem. Bedroom TV tiny our Roku didn't work on the kitchen TV. Bedroom TV close to wall mount I couldn't check the Roku there. Bring trash bags, paper towels and bathroom paper is provided.

Very quiet and peaceful campground during the winter time. Lots of open space and playground for the kids.

Great place for Family Fun. Relaxing, clean site, dog friendly and easy to get to make this a family favorite.

We spent 6 weeks in early spring on two different sites. Bird activity, variety and water access was wonderful. Staff is friendly and productive. Spacious even at our smaller site. Quiet. Like most facilities around here 1/2 full of long term livers. We tried the food place 4 times and never able to get actual food. RECOMMEND
