The restaurant's prime location provides stunning vistas of Morro Bay from both the dine-in patio and the cozy interior. What sets Blue Sky Bistro apart is its thoughtful design – plexiglass panels adorn the alfresco dining area, offering protection from the wind without compromising the panoramic views.

Opting for a traditional two-egg breakfast with sourdough toast, I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable execution of the country potatoes – golden, buttery, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of flavors. Meanwhile, my partner savored the Sailors Bay Benedict, featuring succulent crab that stole the show.

Blue Sky Bistro stands out as one of the few spots on the Embarcadero that opens early and offers a full breakfast menu, making it a coveted destination for early risers and brunch enthusiasts alike. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

To top it off, the coffee was exceptional, providing the perfect accompaniment to our morning feast. And for our furry friends, the dog-friendly patio was a welcome touch, allowing us to enjoy our meal in the company of our beloved pets.

Always a nice view on the embarcadero. Service was prompt and friendly. The clam chowder sourdough bowl comes with the removed portion toasted. The bread is very good toasted. The chowder had large clam pieces and was fairly good. Prices seem high , but there Is a view.
I love clam chowder, but ill be trying another menu item next time.

Cade rocks at Blue Sky Bistro! His professionalism and genuine attitude is a true asset to this restaurant! Since COVID it is hard to find a restaurant where the staff are truly invested in the customer experience. Cade is one in a million - truly embodies customer service which is as much of the dining experience as the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the prawns, SO fresh, and the very yummy clam chowder on a cool November evening. The local Fossil Point Pinot Noir was fantastic! Overall very happy we were able to experience the Blue Sky Bistro and highly recommend if you are anywhere near Morro Bay!

The food was awesome. I had nachos and my wife had the lobster bisque with prawns. We were extremely happy with the quality of food. The servers were did an amazing job. Even without the view the food stands on its own. The amazing view makes it even more impressive. I only wish they had liquor.

My husband and I were remaking our honeymoon for our anniversary and we stumbled across this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the food was equally great, but the waitress we had was phenomenal. She was on top of everything and very accommodating and just all around very friendly and kind. Her name was Wenona, so thank you Wenona for being one of the best waitresses we have experienced and making our lunch enjoyable!

Great food & service! Server was nice. We brought our 2 toddlers & dog and sat outside we could see the boats come in & even saw otters. Very good experience 💯

Absolutely love this place their food, service, and overall polite staff. I have taken my kids here a couple times. They sit right on the water and their food is delicious. I recommend trying their hot pastrami sandwich and the eggs Benedict. Best part is they serve the eggs Benedict all day. We will definitely be coming back here for years to come. Good food, polite staff, and good atmosphere right next to the water. Would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Henry and Jeremy made our Tuesday evening so special ! We are vacationing from Corona and escaping the dryness and heat ! We stumbled upon this gem and it was delicious and the perfect setting! And most important dog friendly we enjoyed a bottle of wine, Mexican shrimp cocktail and the seafood linguini . All by sunset and it was all so good! We really enjoyed our servers and their attention ! And the Prince music they played ... I think just for me lol

Staff was quick and friendly. The patio view is amazing and the breakfast food was tasty.

I ended up trying a couple of things here. The "grilled cheese" which isn't very much like what you expect a grilled cheese sandwich to be but is quite tasty in it's own right. And I also had the chicken sandwich which was fantastic as well. Pairing that with some local beers and a view of the water on the patio makes for a lovely experience.
We also had a good server who was quite clever when we asked if we could get a photo he said we were welcome to recruit one of the millennials that work there as they would do a better job of it.

This place was a great lunch stop! Short wait time, friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious! I got the pastrami sandwich with potatoes. Also the seating was right on the water and had an excellent view of the bay and the big Morro Bay rock! Would recommend stopping here for a meal.

What an amazing place! Of course, you have a view of the rock. Some of the tables are behind an enclosure, which we chose because it was a bit windy the evening that we came for dinner. The menu items were great, we had a mahi-mahi and linguini with clams. Prices were reasonable, especially because the meals came with a soup or salad. What really made the evening was the service. The drinks, appetizers, and main course were perfectly timed. Our server made sure to check on us regularly. They don't have dessert but she recommended several places nearby.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to eat here, as they had to close early for bad weather. Regarding the service, the staff was kind enough to try to accommodate our large party, and called us promptly to let us know they would be closing early. Just because of the kind staff, I hope we get a chance to dine here on our next visit to the area.

My friend and I eat here at least once a week. We choose this restaurant because the food is delicious, the view is spectacular, and the service is exemplary. Wenona and Cade ALWAYS go above and beyond to ensure we have the best possible experience each and every time. We’ve noticed that they extend their warm hospitality to all of the Blue Sky patrons. It makes this a special place to dine and a highlight of our week. Thank you!!!

I got a burger it was very delicious & crispy! Had two of my favorite things bacon & avocado! There was tvs in the restaurant to be able to watch football Sunday which was good! The only down side there was no French fries with my burger just potato’s.

The food is great, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are dog friendly so it made it very easy to sit outside right by the water with our new puppy. It was so good we came back the next day with a group of 10 and they pushed a bunch of tables together and were very helpful. Will definitely be going back.

We were only in town for one night and stopped here on the way out. Excellent breakfast spot in a quiet and relaxed setting (we sat outside). The breakfast burrito was amazing!

The breakfast was excellent, and fairly priced. The view, when sitting outside, was breath taking. We were able to watch boats, kayakers, and rowers during our yummy breakfast. We came right at opening, and had our choice of seating. I understand though, if you come during normal meal hours, it’s hard to get outdoor seating. We really appreciated the glass wall that separated us from the water. It took my anxiety away, since I had young children with me. We’ll be back!

Lunch on the waterfront featuring a BLTA, spicy chipotle grilled cheese (John Montagu), chicken sandwiches, and a 1/2 pound burger. The grilled cheese is the best I've ever had! You cannot beat the combination of the grilled sourdough, grilled onions, tomatoes, avocado slices, and chipotle puree on top of gooey cheddar. My youngest said their mushroom swiss burger is by far his favorite of any restaurant. Great food and beautiful bayside view.
