Harbor Hut in Morro Bay is an absolute gem, offering a delightful seafood dining experience with breathtaking views of the bay. From start to finish, our meal was a testament to the culinary excellence and warm hospitality that Harbor Hut is known for.

As we stepped into the spacious restaurant, we were immediately captivated by the panoramic view of the bay, setting the perfect backdrop for a sunset dinner. The ambiance was serene and sophisticated, creating an ideal atmosphere for an adult dining experience.

The menu, while not overwhelming, boasted a variety of options, from locally caught seafood to salads, soups, and even chicken and steak dishes. For our mains, I opted for the shrimp scampi, accompanied by a delectable array of vegetables and the star of the show – the fried potato cake. Let me tell you, this potato cake deserves its own accolades – herb mashed potatoes breaded with parmesan cheese and fried to perfection. Each bite was a heavenly explosion of flavor. The shrimp scampi, served with a lemon butter and caper broth for dipping, was equally divine.

My partner indulged in the fish and chips, a generous portion of beer-battered cod accompanied by steak fries. He couldn't stop raving about the savory tartar sauce and the delightful pineapple coleslaw that accompanied the dish.

Despite our best intentions, we were too full to even contemplate dessert, a testament to the generous portions and satisfying flavors of our meal.

Overall, Harbor Hut exceeded our expectations in every way. With its stellar food, welcoming atmosphere, and stunning views, it's a must-visit destination for seafood lovers and anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Morro Bay.

This is definitely our favorite restaurant in Morro Bay. We've been here multiple times and have had a great experience each one. The food is outstanding! This might be insignificant to some, but I LOVE their Caesar Salad. I feel funny doting on a salad, but it's so unique, and I crave it majority of the year - ha!
But you can't go wrong with anything you order here. Just sit back, enjoy eating alongside the amazing view, and plan your next trip back.

Bloody Mary’s are good and any of their cocktails are also delicious. Servers are friendly, fast, and make you feel very welcome 💖

This place was definitely a lot nicer than we were expecting but we loved the atmosphere and the view of the ocean. The waitress was friendly and very tentative, and the food was delicious. We definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you are ever in the area.

This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with friendly staff, great food, and a beautiful harbor view. The highlight of our evening was witnessing a playful sea otter interacting with shells, adding a charming touch to our dinner. The ocean surf-themed interior adds to the restaurant's charm, making it a must-visit for both locals and visitors alike!

Absolutely fantastic…. We came for lunch and I had the fish & chips with clam chowder. The garlic bread on the side was the best garlic bread I have ever had!!… mind blown! So delicious! Also had the strawberry blonde mixed drink which was suggested by the waiter! Great suggestion! If you are in Morro Bay, it is a must stop!!

This is the mojito spot! Many of the other places along this strip didn't have mint. The chairs are spinny and cushioned, the interior is comforting like a house boat, and a few of the tables in the outdoor seating have a great view of Morro Rock, and the lights on the harbor. Kind service and friendly hostess. Should have stayed another round.

I can't even begin to describe how good the food was at the little hut, the fish-and-chips was cooked perfectly. Clam chowder was better than I've eaten at splash

This place is the perfect spot to grab either a quick bite to eat at the walk up stand or to go inside and enjoy the panoramic views of Morro Bay Rock and maybe even spy some otters and sea lions enjoying the sun and ocean water. Food is decent, a little over priced for the quality and portions but compared to other places in the area, definitely some of the best clam chowder I've ever had and the fish and chips aren't bad either. We did take our toddler and even though she got a little antsy there's a balcony right outside to run around a little and get the ants out of her pants before lunch was served. She had a blast chasing the pigeons around. Overall, it wasn't the 1st time we've been and it won't be the last!

The restaurant is directly on the promenade. You have a nice view on Morro Rock. Service is five stars plus. They were so nice plus authentic! Food was great.

Finally I was able to go to Morro Bay. A great guy friend invited me. We ate at Harbor Hut. Best tasting fish & chips, this restaurant is my absolute favorite place since The Whales Tail closed. We were very happy, content, full from such a good dinner. I highly recommend Harbor Hut.

Family of 4 went on a Wednesday for lunch. We got the best table since we were there a few minutes after they opened. But I must say that it looked like every table had a great view of Morro Rock. The food was really good, and one of the few places with a good children's menu! Although, I wish they had the crabbie patties that they have at the little hut (fire the kids). Our service was excellent too. For appetizers we had oysters in a 1/2 shell and Dungeness crab cakes which were easily the BEST I've ever had! My husband had the seafood platter and I had the Pacific Red Snapper, also excellent! Both kids had chicken strips and with strawberry lemonade ate all of them.

Another one of our favorite restaurant in Morro Bay! Service is always top notch and food is amazing. Worth the wait for a table if they are busy.
They are busy outside during this whole pandemic but handling everything appropriately. Can't say enough good things! Even the Lil Hut is great if you just want a quick bit!

Great food, great service and spectacular scenery! I often drive to Morro Bay for lunch and it's usually at Harbor Hut. My family frequents this restaurant because of the portion size, selection, prompt and friendly service and the fresh seafood. The two hour drive is well worth it!

felt like fish and chips and by golly I got them. this special had two pieces of fish, some really crispy fries, a hearty clam chowder and a piece of garlic toast.i shared my pleasure with my wife, the probs were big enough. the guys working there were so nice.

Never been to Harbor Hut before but was pleasantly surprised. I had the rib-eye with bleu cheese and 3 prawns. The prawns were good despite being blackened which I personally don't care for. I dipped them into a sauce my mother received that she was indifferent about and the prawns were better. The sauce was like a cocktail/sweet & sour/mild spice and paired well with certain menu items. The steak was fantastic and prepared to perfection. I made sure to savor every bite.

Dad enjoyed the fish and chips. Those were some chunky sized filets!
Mom had coconut prawns, rice pilaf and fruit. Those prawns were scrumptious; like a home run and they were like jumbo sized. I seriously thought that they were pork chop medallions when she got her food. She didn't care for the sauce I like on my prawns but another creamy semi-sweet sauce paired well with her meal. The only downside to all of our meals was mom's fruit. Pineapple was good, honeydew was not sweet.

All things considered, this was a fabulous first time dining here. Comfortable seating, nice views, waterfront location, prompt refills on drinks, great service overall, friendly staff. I could go on but this is a long review as is.

I will happily return next time I am over here in the area. Thank you Harbor Hut for a wonderful dinner.

Cute spot to get lunch, you order at the counter and they have a few tables outside, some under a covered patio. The fried fish sandwich and fish and chips were solid, delicious garlic fries. Definitely would recommend checking Harbor Hut out!

We met friends for lunch. I enjoyed fish tacos and my husband had blackened shrimp tacos. Both were very good and the sauce was tasty for both. We enjoyed the food and the company. The service was exceptional for the size party (12).

I have always loved Lil Hut, but I wanted more of a sit down restaurant experience. The pandemic nonsense made for outdoor dining as the only option for my visit. They provide heating towers and they work very well. The staff was very friendly and sat me quickly. The meal was started with table bread, which was delicious. I ordered the steak and seafood skewers, which I upgraded from top sirloin to ribeye. The meal was delicious, and definitely plentiful. The seafood skewers consisted of two prawns, a scallop and fish. The ribeye was 12 ounces cooked to medium rare... It was delicious. My waitress was fantastic and the overall experience was good. There was ants on my table, but few and not abnormal for outdoor dining.
