Motel 6 Morro Bay, CA

The managers were very nice and helped me when my room was booked incorrectly over the phone. This was a life saver for me being a long way from home at 5pm in the evening!! The room was clean and nice, and not too far from the car. Everything worked out great! Morro Bay is a nice place to visit and this Motel 6 is a good value.

I visit several times a month and I have ever had a bad experience here. Everyone is very professional and courteous and the rooms are always nice and clean. I would recommend this place. They even provide a Military discount. Good job guys!!!

While we were there a guest became very unruly yelling at everyone and cussing, the managers were very patient giving him several chances to go back to his room before finally calling law enforcement to remove him. I have to say the managers handled the situation professionally and were very apologetic to all guests who were disturbed.
Also the rooms have been renovated and are nicer than some other motel 6 we’ve stayed in. Clean and fresh and a great staff is why this property has been our go to spot in Morro bay for many years.

I had to book a last-minute hotel here, and I was very impressed with how clean and comfortable the rooms were. Kevin was very helpful in assuring me that I would have a place to rest my head when I arrived. I’ve never stayed at a Motel 6, and it really was a pleasant experience, and I will certainly be booking with Motel 6 again in the future!

This motel 6 was close to the everything, especially the beach. The room was clean and spotless. The young lady that helped me out was courteous and helpful. If you’re on a budget, need a place to stay without all the frills. Have a night’s stay here! I will be back again.

Got two rooms at Morro Bay for our two-night stay. My family had an incredible time celebrating my niece’s birthday and exploring the beauty of Morro Bay. The experience allowed my family to finally witness Morro Rock up close, a sight they had previously only seen in photos and videos.

Family was truly amazed by the quality of the rooms – they were impeccably renovated and exceptionally clean. Unlike past stays at other Motel 6 locations, this time it felt like we were in a luxurious setting rather than a typical Motel 6. It was fascinating to discover that your Motel 6 was the fourth in the franchise's history, dating back to its inception. That's truly remarkable.

Nice room, and pool avaliable. The location is perfect. Nearby the Highway 1 and a beach parking slot from Morro Bay. We would recommend a stay!

This was the first trip we have taken since the Pandemic started. I wanted to book at this Motel 6 because it is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The room was clean and well-sanitized. We really enjoyed our stay. This Motel 6 is well-priced for the area and the beach is a five minute walk away. We loved it! We also had a lovely view of the Rock and 3 stacks!

Pet friendly and no charge for pet! Loved that! Room was clean and staff was friendly. Location is a short walk from beach and short drives to other beaches, which was great. Staff was very kind and helpful. Would stay again! Thanks for everything!

The rooms are not very big but it was clean. When opening the door for the first time it smelled fresh and clean. Hardwood floors are a plus. Much better then carpet. Great water pressure in the shower. We're comfortable for two nights stay. Staff were cordial and friendly.

Eric at the front was friendly, efficient and informative and recommended us to Morro Bay Coffee CO. and we couldn't be happier, thank you for the new go-to spot when we are in town! Amenities were limited as expected, only a couple things that got missed when cleaning but very hard to notice things. Such a plus that they allow dogs because so many do not without a huge deposit. We are overall satisfied and would definitely return & recommend(:

Ok to stay-staff is busy; not personable. No minifridge in room, no breakfast possible. There are vending machines with softdrinks, water, chips and lots of candy, as well as laundry wash detergents. The pool was ok-did get cleaned regularly. Beach is about a 10 minute walk.

Staff is super nice, room was clean. No problems with our visit. The Motel 6s in our hometown (Bakersfield) are absolutely awful but the Motel 6 in Morro Bay offers us a decent place to sleep and we have been coming here for years and years with no issues. It would be nice if they could get help with repairs quicker from corporate though. The outside is not looking as good as it used where repairs are being done but still a gem to us because we just come for a decent place to rest after a day of exploring the area.

My husband and I and our 3 children stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience! Our room was clean & the staff were very helpful/friendly. There was a great park directly behind us & the beach was right down the road. You cant beat the price for this incredible location. We will definitely be staying there next time were in the area and have already recommended this motel to friends/family.

The lady who checked me was very nice and kind. She made my long and difficult days travel much easier, gave me a quiet room, and made me smile.
The next day the maintenance man and roomservice staff I saw were both great too. These poeple talk to you and are pleanet. I have stayed at a few Motel 6s and this is by far the best one yet.

Always A Pleasure... Honestly The Owners I Believe Live Onsite And They Are Awesome...They NEVER Bother You Or Judge Anyone From What I've Seen... Although The Grounds Could Use Some Paint And The Cement That One Walks On Needs Washed From ALOT Off Spitting By Us Americans...& More Ash Trays Outside So The Cig Butts Have A Place To Go

We were met by a super kind Front Desk employee when we checked in and had a lovely stay.The room was clean, the wifi was strong, and they allow dogs. The only thing I wish they had were bathtubs; since my kids prefer them to showers. Overall, we come to the Motel 6 every time we visit Morro Bay!
