Tognazzini's Dockside Restaurant

This was our first time. The fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. The employees were very helpful and gave good advice when asked. The seating outside was perfect for a leisurely Sunday lunch. The bay and Morro rock views were spectacular. It was fun watching otters diving for shell and cracking the shells while floating on their backs. The live entertainment was great. The only negative was a long line to order, but I guess that's to be expected for such a popular place. We had a great meal, a great time, and we will be going back soon.

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. We sat outside with our puppy and enjoyed the cool ocean breeze and baritone songs of nearby seals. We ordered dockside omlettes, one STUFFED with shrimp, and the other STUFFED with scallops (pictured)! Amazing meals. 5 stars! Our server was always prompt with water, coffee, and a smile. In the words of my namesake, "I SHALL return."

Amazing food, great prices, and a wonderful view. The clams were well cleaned in the clam chowder as well. Normally, you get a bit of sand at times in most clam chowders but not here.

If you're ever cruising through Morro Bay stop and check this place out. The menu has a little bit of everything for all different kind of taste but of course she can't go wrong with their fish and chips. You get a great view of the Morro rock plus hanging out and eating in a harbor has never been a bad thing. Lovely water views of the boats and the people.

Excellent stop off on our way from LA to San Francisco. Great harbour side casual food place. Wonderful location alongside the fishing boats and the clapping seals. Perfectly cooked fish for our fish and chips....though double fried seasoned chips would have made it perfect. Luckily Wednesday was live music day!

This is a great place and well worth checking out on Morro Bay Harbor! The ambience has a nautical and an old "Fisherman's Wharf" vibe to it. Nothing like experiencing that vibe with a good salad, grilled fish, and bottle of wine while listening to a musician's sea fararing music in the distance. Timing it right, you can experience the fishermen returning and unloading their catch onto the pier. Very cool!! The restaurant has the choice of sitting in or outside. I reccommend outside to experience the full harbor vibe watching the boats, birds, listening to the music, a view of Morro Bay Rock in the background, and just chilling with wine and good food!!! A true "positive vibe" moment!!!

Clam chowder- so so- to heavy for my taste.
We also ordered oysters… they were delicious but…I got such a horrible food poisoning i would suggest double checking if the oysters are fresh… i till today refuse to accept it was from the oysters even tho I didnt have anything else to eat🤷🏻‍♀ but they were so delicious!

Had a great experience. I took my dog on a road trip and our first stop was Morro Bay and decided to stop at Dockside for dinner. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. They brought my dog a water bowl and treats and were very friendly to her. The fish and chips were really tasty. The patio was a bit chilly but it’s understandable since it was night time and the start of winter. Overall, excellent service.

AMAZING fish tacos. This place has lots of fresh fish and you can ask for whatever fish you want in your tacos (this may change the price but they were so good we didn't care.) I will be going back for more fish tacos. This place also has great views and is dog-friendly. We were so pleased with the cost and taste of everything we ordered. The clam chowder had big hunks of crab meat in it which was wonderful. Do yourself a favor and skip the fancy restaurants in the area and come here. We saw otters from our table which was exciting for an out of towner.

Darn good clam chowder and thick enough. You can stand a spoon up in it. Service was great and food was excellent.. all-around good value. I had the fish and chips which were nice and fluffy with a crisp edge.

Homemade flan was also a nice way to wrap things up

Delicious food! Would definitely come back. We tried the Calamari, Seafood Risotto, and Halibut Provincial.

I love this restaurant! It's such a treat to eat a fantastic meal and sit next to the ocean. I love that they have live music too. We always go here when we come to Morro Bay.

Love this place it is our go-to when in Morro Bay for the last 15+ years. Our kids love the spaghetti, and we love the grilled oysters and Oyster Rockefeller. Clam chowder is thick and creamy how we like it.
I've had the Cioppino and Steak sandwich in the past. I definitely recommend these as well as the fish and chip.

Better then in New England. Love the fried clams and the wife loves the shrimp. We come to morro bay 2 or 3 times a year and stay for 3 days or so and alway eat here.

We stopped in for lunch, had some fish and chips and an amazing shrimp cocktail! Also had a couple of craft beers in the bottle. We are outside on the deck where they had live music which made the atmosphere. Great view of the harbor, and beautiful weather. We will be back the next time we are thru Morrow Bay!

Great place for unfussy seafood. Always fresh ingredients cooked to order. Parking can be a little tough when it's super busy but the location is great for parking a bit farther away and taking a bit of a stroll.

Our favorite places to hang out in Morro Bay. Great patio dining with awesome view of Morro Rock and delicious food. To top it off, they also have live music performances.
