Located in a sleepy part of San Mateo on a street with good old time restaurants and a Japanese grocery store. They tend to not be crowded and give good homey service

Wow, I just had such a good experience at this post office! No line and the postal worker was extremely kind, respectful, helpful, and cheerful. Definitely recommend!

Most USPS offices have ratings of 2 or 3 stars, but this one has 4.6 (as of May 2023) and there is a reason for it. The employees here are so respectful, capable and helpful, unlike any other branches. A big kudos to them.

The folks who work here are very proficient and really get to know their customers. They chat with visitors but they know how to keep the line moving fast when the need arises. The atmosphere is like a friendly neighborhood shop where they call us by name and care about the service they provide. I trust them to take care of my packages and mailing needs. Chanda and Terry are wonderful people who make a great team.

I love my local post office — The folks here are super friendly and nice. Feels like a local community — Terri was great — she knows her stuff and was very helpful.

Here is what happened to me:

I was trying to ship some face masks to my families in China and thought it might be helpful to ship some alcohol wipes at the same time. The staffs had some doubts about this but we still decided to give it a try.

I double-checked it 5 min after my shipment was prepared, and found that we can't actually ship wipes internationally. I went back to the counter, planning to take back the packages and repackage them. Surprisingly, the staff (IIRC her name is Boba) offered to help me take them out at the counter. She also helped me updated my custom declaration form so that I don't need to feel them again.

In the end she also patiently helped me get some refund (b/c the packages are lighter now).

I feel very lucky that we have such friendly staffs here! This is the best USPS experience I've ever have!

Wow - if I had to pick just one word to describe my experience here. Chanda who I primarily spoke to was incredible, she speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, English and a little Spanish (so, by degrees, way smarter than me) and so lovely, kind, and welcoming. I walked out in a significantly better mood than I walked in which is WAY more than I can say about any other experience at any USPS, FedEx and UPS. Keep her around and I will always come here even if its far from my house!

The USPS post office on 25th Avenue is the best post office in the San Mateo or Belmont. The lines are usually short, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I always go to this post office even if it means going out of my way.

By the way, if you ship boxes, shipping by USPS is the half the price of FedEx. If you are looking for great handling go with Insured or Registered Insured. This is half the price of Fed Ex and very secure.

Been to this post office a couple times already. Everyone is super nice and helpful. One of the staff helped me save money by telling me to switch to a different flat rate box. Awesome service!

I've been going here for over 10years. I wouldn't normally write a review for the Post office but these folks are very nice people and they want to help you save money and time and give guidance through the shipping process.

Each and every time I am in that post office no matter what the day, hour or season those two ladies are Always, friendly, smiling, helpful and kind! I ONLY use this location and it is because of location AND service!
