Great loop to walk the dog or take an easy stroll in nature with amazing views of the Gorge.

This site is connected to the trail system that takes you to the Strawberry Loop on Hamilton Island.

We enjoyed the easy, dog-friendly hike and taking a quick break on the bench to soak up the views.

They have a parking lot that accommodate at least a dozen of vehicle.

There is a short part of the trail that goes along the water, starting where the bench is.

Visited Tuesday 3/9/21. Saw no one else in this area. All historic artifacts are well marked with wooden posts about waist high. This is a great place for young children, but not wheel chair accessible as it is not paved. Worth a visit. Closest TH would be Fort Cascades Trailhead. Beautiful forrest. This is a 1.5 mile loop trail.

Very nice trail through the forest, quiet and fresh air with marked down places like a piece of history and a nice view towards Boneville Dam

Fun little place. They have a self guided your. It's very interesting. Very informative. We love stopping there every time we are on the Washington side of the gorge. It's nicely shaded and makes a great stop to stretch your legs.

This is a great place to get out and walk around. There is a lot of history that used to be here. There are maps at the beginning and markers along the trail that point out where things used to be. Unfortunately none of it is physically there today. It's still fun to walk around and try to envision what the fort and town must have looked like. Awesome opportunity to get some good pictures of Bonneville dam as well.

Kis sétával körbejárható ösvény. A régi jelzett dolgokból sajnos már szinte semmi sem látható.
