A very lovely park, nice trails- shaded and open ones for everyone 's preference. They have benches throughout the park in places with great views. They also have picnic tables close to the main parking lot and restrooms close by. The park is free to visit, dogs are not allowed.

I love this park. Great moderate-difficult trails, incredible views and so close to rRdwood City.

This is such a beautiful place to walk with family or friends! It seems to go by several names, Crystal Springs Regional Trail and also Sawyer Park. Keep your eyes open and you will probably spot deer all around. From point A to point B the trail runs 6 mi. I have heard that some people walk the full 6 miles and then get an Uber back. There are restrooms throughout the trail. I only walked one mile round trip but there was a restroom at the beginning of the park and then another at about the 1/2 mile point.

Beautiful and easy to navigate hiking and exercise preserve with beautiful views, lots of wildflowers, birds and other animals, public facilities, and moderate to easy difficulty. This place is truly special and can be reasonably navigated in 2-3 hours!

The parking here can be tricky, so be prepared to walk a bit to the trailhead. We didn’t have much trouble on a Saturday at 11:00 AM. The parking lot is free and restrooms are located at the bottom alongside a welcome center.

The trails are good for beginners. Most of them are covered with trees but there are stretches with no shade so bring sunscreen. You can pick your loop but be prepared to hike at least 2 to 3 miles round trip with a moderate incline. There are lots of beautiful birds, inserts, and reptiles alongside the trail.

Advice for newcomers: Bring sunscreen, be CAREFUL of poison oak, use the restroom before going on the hike, bring water, and remove valuables from your car.

Highly recommended and one of the best hiking trails in the Bay Area!

Beautifully maintained public space that offers an escape into nature without leaving the suburban area. The park features a variety of themed gardens, including trails each meticulously landscaped and well-cared for. Visitors often praise the tranquil atmosphere and the colorful displays of seasonal flowers that provide a stunning backdrop for leisurely walks or photography. The park also hosts educational programs and seasonal events that make it a community hub, engaging people of all ages. It's a perfect spot for those looking to relax, enjoy nature, or learn more about horticulture.

First time there. Gorgeous, gorgeous hiking trails marked really well. Visit the education center the volunteers in there are so helpful. We spoke with John. Very very kind man, who gave us a lot of information about the park. We bought some souvenirs too. They have a board there that's magnetic and every Wednesday they go onto the trails and see what things have bloomed and they add it to the board so you know exactly what animals, insects and flowers you may see!
We will be back!!

Great open space in the peninsula and close to 280 freeway. Parking can be limited on weekends so best to arrive earlier to enjoy the nice hiking trails that vary in length from 1 to 4 miles or more if you loop and cross park. Lots of birds and deer in the park and occasionally some mountain lions and rabbits. Trail in shaded in parts and open in others. Terrain at times is not flat due to runoff when it rains so be sure to have good grip in your shoes. There is a nice water bottle fill station right at entrance so you can fill up or top off. Good area overall for a couple hours of hiking with hillside views and still close to city.

We just found this new hiking park. We wanted somewhere that had views of the bay, and it truly does. There are many trails to take from easy to very challenging. We started on the easier one. It was a full loop so you cannot get lost. It was a bit rugged and rocky, so if you need a walking stick, I would take it with you. There are beautiful sweeping views of the SF bay and it was beautiful. Lots of parking, but get there early.

The best hiking trail in town offers such gorgeous views of the bay, golden hills, and wildflowers. It is a quiet and large park with miles of trails available of various lengths and terrain. There were several precarious hills and narrow walkways, but that's what made it challenging and fun. The vista views were worth the sweat and breathlessness.

Magnificent park. Wildflowers in the spring, views anytime. I've seen quail, rabbits and deer as well as birds of prey and otherwise. Most paths have gentle slopes and many have tree coverage. It's become my favorite hiking destination!

Have to see the Wildflowers in the Spring. So worth it. It’s a nice little range, with easy to moderate hiking. Parking can be tough, and didn’t see any restrooms. Not a lot of shade, so advise sun protection and water

Great local park with wonderful views at the top. Lots of trails. Lovely in the spring Fall and Winter. Can be a little hot and exposed in the summer. Can get very busy on the weekends with parking filling up early.

Nice easy hikes. We came out for wildflowers but really didn’t see too many. But we really enjoyed the beauty of the area.

I hiked through the Sylvan trail with my wife and 5 year old kid. The lady at Park information desk was very helpful and suggested Sylvan trail as we were interested in wild flowers. We started in the afternoon, but didn't feel the heat, as the weather was pleasant and the whole route was covered in shades. It was nice to see a wide variety of wildflowers in their natural habitat. After a hike of 1 mile we were presented with breathtaking view of lush green Meadows, and big patches of wild flowers. My kid also enjoyed his first hike. We would like to come here again.

Spring 2023 (April): beautiful hike. Lots of spring flowers are blooming. Also: lots of fresh, young POISON OAKS!!! Stay on path and watch the bushes along the road.

We saw Jackrabbit, a dear and an American Eagle! (No pic about the eagle 🦅).

I have recently hiked twice within the Edgewood Park Preserve and found both to be very enjoyable. The first time I hiked in from the Clarkia trail and took a loop around the southern section of the park. My second trip started on the northern side hiking the Sylvan trail starting from Old Stage Mill Road. At that site there was an office where I could find out more about wildflowers and the best trail to take and what to look for.

On both trails I found a variety of different wildflowers and nice vistas, some of which stretched to a scenic view of Redwood City and the bay. I also saw a nice variety of wildflowers (pictured). The hikes were easy to moderate and well worth a few hours to enjoy.
