Kepler's Books

One of my favorite bookstores. A historic social anchor of the community has adapted to the times as an independent book seller. Great selection of books and literary gifts. Great speaker series of authors and thoughtleaders. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I buy all my books here (in person and online).

Kepler's Books is our favorite bookstore in the Bay Area. The way they organize their books makes it easy to find and subject you're interested in. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

One of my all-time favorite book stores. The selection of books is excellent, staff amazing, and outstanding events with leading writers.

A decent-sized bookstore with a lot of character. Books, cards, wrapping paper, gifts—there is a good variety. I happened to be in store during an author event, which was cool. My favorite section of books was the limited edition.

Friendly, competent staff with a large selection of books. Convenient parking garage under the building, and a wonderful coffee shop next door in the patio.

Friendly local book store, hanging tough but needs friends in the neighborhood. Please shop here and not on Jeffy B's leprous river barge.

The widest range I've ever browsed is here. Seniors to toddlers....all of them can spend pleasant browse-time! If you're looking for something special, charming post-its from the staff on the books help you with your search.

The best bookstore in the Bay area, in my opinion. I've been able to find books on egyptology and ancient history that I wasn't expecting to find there. You won't find them at a university bookstore, not in this area. Overall an insightful and creative bookseller.

I love this independent bookstore so so much. Great browsing, great staff, great selection. They have an excellent shelf of cookbooks, too, if that's your fancy (great for gifts). I really really love their recommendations shelf: The staff can always tell you the best thing to read! :)

We went to a story reading and it was wonderful, the kids loved this lovely bookstore, the story, the books and what not. We'll definitely come back again!

Amazing place with an amazing collection. They have a carefully assorted, creative, collection of books, postcards (and so much other stuff) for pretty much all age groups. My go to place to buy gifts for all my friends and family.

I wish they had more sales. Also they have started adding an extra charge related to staff living wage which is not clear up front
