Love this donut shop and I don't even really like donuts that much. The highlight for me are the salteñas. I go back and forth if I like the beef or chicken better. They are slightly different but both delicious. Normally I take my chances and if they don't have them I take it as a sign that I shouldn't indulge but today I wanted to bring them to a friend so I called ahead and they baked them for me to pick up 25 minutes later.

While the salteñas are the highlights for me my family does enjoy the donuts. The cinnamon sugar donut holes were a special treat for them today.

The service is always friendly and there's always a line out the door especially since the only allow two people in at a time but even before there were usually long lines since they seem to have a loyal following.

Go here for the Bolivian empanadas. Hot, freshly made and delicious. Try the beef one, chicken ones and veggie ones. The woman's recipe is her grandmother's recipe from Bolivia. Don't be intimidated because the place is tiny and looks old. You don't order from here for the decor. You come for the empanadas. Empanadas five stars, staff five stars, the interior design one star. Try it.

This was by far the best donut, glazed or cinnamon twist in the entire bay area. When they stopped selling these at Draeger’s in MP we used to go all the way to Redwood City to pick them up. The empanadas were a hit with our kids. So sad to see this family shop permanently close :(

Name on the building says "Donut House", but this is the place. The best doughnuts in Redwood City. Fresh every day and friendly staff. Love it.

Great little place that's family ran. Although it's a donut shop, their best food is their saltenas! Keep in mind you'll need to wait 25 minutes since they are baked to order. You can call in advance or just buy them frozen and bake at home. They have vegan, vegetarian, chicken and beef as far as I know. I would call ahead first since they usually sell out fast. Their bacon egg ham and cheese croissant sandwich is awesome too, with a little kick from the jalapenos.

Underrated donut shop in a non-descript strip mall is an outstanding gem in Redwood City. The donuts are fluffy, generous in size and satisfying. Come early as the selection thins since they sell quickly. This donut shop compares favorably to the best in the Bay Area. If you don't like these donuts, then you don't like (traditional American) donuts.

I rarely give 5 stars for donuts. For some reason, donuts are hard things to make perfectly. This place has superb donuts. I have only purchased a sugar powder and a chocolate one. When a place does basics right, I definitely go back to try other things. Too bad there was no empanadas today, but I'll go earlier next time and def try them.

A really wonderful little shop with tasty donuts and bagels. The (I think) owner of the shop is an older woman and as sweet as can be. I am on a 10 day trip here from Philadelphia and me and my boyfriend stopped in every morning and each day we were highly satisfied. If you are in the area stop in! Bring cash though, no cards are accepted .

This place had one of the best foods in the world, the Salteña which is some sort of empanada (you have to call in advance so they get them ready for you). The owner and staff are very friendly and the food delicious. I've also tried the different pastries they offer and they are really good. There are some tables in there so you can have coffee or beverages.

Always come here for my donuts:) $1 each donut, $1.65 for coffee with self serve milk (real milk :D not that prepacked cream). The service is very nice and they speak both English and Spanish. They sometimes run out of donuts if you go too late (I'd say 1130 onwards?) Which is a good sign of how good their donuts are ^^ and they're always fresh? Never encountered a stale donut here.
If you like empanadas, try their salteñas too! It's a savory, slightly spicy slightly sweet empanada

The donuts here are top notch. Everything about them is excellent. Perfect consistency, texture, and taste. You can clearly taste just how fresh the donuts are. On top of having fantastic donuts, Nuri’s Donut House has friendly, personable service. I feel like I’m interacting with real humans, not robots, at Nuri’s.

I give Nuri’s Donut House a solid 5-star rating and would definitely recommend it to others.

We went there after noon hoping we could get saltenas, but there were no donuts or saltenas. I did not know they donate their extra donuts so people can enjoy them while fresh. The gentleman taking the donuts to the hospital opened the boxes and let my 4 year old have his pick.😀 The ladies behind the counter offered one saltena they had extra in the back, no charge. We went the next day a lot earlier, and enjoyed everything we tried. Definitely will be going back!

Donuts tasty, coffee hot, empanadas are Da Bomb! I buy them by the dozen frozen, and they offer a vegetarian one. Easy to bake, brush with a bit of beaten egg mixed with smoked paprika for some color and a bit of spice. Thank you for being kind to Everyone, even when they buy one donut! Something you just don't see enough of these days.

Great donuts, even better are the salteñas. For comparison, on my last trip to NYC, I had to try the salteñas at Bolivian Llama Party. They have been written up to rave reviews by even the NY Times. Nuri's Donut House's salteñas are SOOOOOO much better! You can also buy frozen and take them home for an easy lunch or dinner!

Their old fashioned glazed is the best in the area. No one else can get the texture to come out right. Nuri’s also has a good crumb donut. Worth the drive from Menlo Park for me.

If you want something savory, the saltena is the answer. Its a wonderful puff pastry filled with a flavorful mixture of meat ( chicken or beef or there is a vegetable ) diced potatoes, peas, klamata olives, onions and just the right amount of spices, baked to a golden brown. Pre-made keeper frozen, but only twenty minutes in their oven, baked to perfection. Phone ahead or spend some time enjoying the quaint little donut house. Oh, the coffee and donuts are good too. I love starting my day off with the great taste of a couple of chicken saltenas. A must try, you won't regret.

Helpful and friendly staff. Visited Friday morning at 7:30 am and there was still an adequate selection of donuts and pastries to choose from. Great pricing, good donuts.
