The Shops at Tanforan

Excellent mall to bad they're going to close it love this mall Tanforan great shops and food court nice and clean movie Theater 🎭 if i could I'd give this mall 10 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you need to burn time close to SF. Airport- this would be a good spot: Barns and Nobel book store here is big and has a coffee shop inside, there is also a JC Penny clothing store a restaurant and some other small shops

I feel I'm a different part of the city in a dream. But I was shopping to get three braces. Ankle and two knee braces. One brace for me and for my mom. The ankle brace is for me for my right foot. But I love the Christmas Tree that they put each time when I come over.

I love this mall. Why? Because of Barnes and Nobel of course! But overall the mall is clean, safe, and pleasant.

This is a pretty decent mall kept clean with some cool stores. It’s nice to still be able to visit brick n mortar malls.

Great place to shop and eat. Lots of parking space.

Went to JCPENNEY to the women's department, jewelry,and perfume section.I got everything I wanted. Also, there was a Jewelry shop in the same locality and got batteries replaced for my watches.

This large Target had everything I needed and I found the staff to be helpful.

Amazing team who promotes and responds on social media. So many events, comparatively affordable shops, huge food court, movie theater. Easy to access through bus and bart. Ample amount of parking space. Sad to hear that this mall is going away making a place for biotech company. Lots of indoor fun place for children and adults.

Cons: as of now some of the stores are permanently closed. Speculation is the mall is going to close in 5 years. Sears is going to be replaced by auto dealer.

I've always really liked this mall.

It's clean and airy. It has been changing in recent years - pandemic - in terms of which shops remain open.

Penny's is open. Food Court, Century Theater, BJ's - all going strong!

Another shopping center is just across the street from it.

It's right on El Camino Real and right off 92 - making for easy access by car, bus, BART, or bike.

Out of love for San Bruno... this Mall is always 5 stars to me! It was an exciting place in the 90s. They had Sam Goody, a big costume competition on Halloween. Just tons of excitement especially after the remodel. Target with the $1.08 icees back in the day were my favorite. Small humble community, love shopping here!

Sad to see how desolate this mall is now. Only reason we go here is the large target and the bouncing play area for kids.

Beautiful place to visit in San Bruno, CA.

Developers are gona turn this into a Biotech place. Further gentrify SSF & make costs of living impossible to afford.

Since it's not Union, I'm sure they'll hire outside of the Bay Area.

SSF is no longer an Industrial City. Its history has been erased from the murals that were demolished by developers.

Genetech seems to be running Coty Hall and all its politicians.

Low income housing is $2700 for a 1 bd apt.

Go figure.

Well they are open again. Great sales.food courts open.target is attached with covered parking.and security. I go there all the time.

Awesome mall. Conveniently located. Food court has several options including a bakery. They decorate it with lights for the new year. Taxi pickup point gets crowded though. Difficulty to board the taxi at night due to small curb and poor lighting.

Tanforan has a really good Target. With JCPenney shutting down most of it's stores over the last 3 years, this is the only JCPenney on the Peninsula if you need to make a quick stop. BJ's at Tanforan is really good. It is a nice hang out location if you like watching live games while munching on some nachos.

I grew up in San Francisco and in South San Francisco in Tanforan was always a staple in my life went there from very early age until now sad to hear that they're going to be closing it so if you want to go shopping at a nice shopping mall that's in the peninsula please make sure that you tries to have friend shopping mall there's theater and their food court is exceptional it's good it's got good stuff in it simple and plain great for the kids check out cold Stone ice cream yum yum
