My main reason is the owner is such a nice man . I rather support the small business and he is the poster person for that perfect mom and pop spot. It's one ofy show off places when I have out of town guest .

Ol man Peckerwood said next time I'm in Palo Alto I should eat at the New York Sandwich Shop, they're the best he told me. Well, I had just dropped off my 17th century Globenstien Flintstaller to the Sotheby's Auction house for authentication and headed straight there.
What a place! The sandwich I got was amazing. 5 stars all the way. ☆☆☆☆☆

Have been trying to find out for awhile until recently. Wanted to try out their NY genuine pastrami sandwich. Ha d to find good ones in the bay area. Not bad at all. Will go back.

I don’t know if I can accurately describe just exactly how delicious this roast beef sandwich which I’m eating right now, is. I’ve always been a person to put as much as I possibly can on everything, but this doesn’t need anything else. This sandwich, plus the sauce, is not only perfect size, but it was perfectly made by the nicest guy working the front counter. He made sure to ask me how I was doing, and just had a very positive or about him. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!

My son was fasting for some necessary lab work that morning and craving something salty, tasty and satisfying for afterwards.
We Yelped breakfast foods nearby and first thing that popped up was......
New York New York Sandwiches.
A hop, skip and jump from Stanford Hospital.
NY NY Sandwiches was on point!
Two bagel sandwiches, a burrito with some incredible Sun Dried Tomatoes included., and two espressos later... We're on cloud 9!

I MUST update my review! Sticking with the same well deserved 5 Star rating but giving the owner, Jim, special thanks for those coffees, bagels and sandwiches he would prepare for me on my way to work. Thanks Jim for the boost of caffeine and delicious New York style breakfasts to get me through the day!
Always a friendly attitude and swift service. New York bagels has been satisfying locals for over 15 years and hopefully many more years to come.

First time going here, we absolutely loved it!!! The bagels/ cream cheeses are so good. The shop owner is the nicest man, he hand makes everything right in front of you. I got the turkey, jalapeño cream cheese and cucumber sandwich on a garlic bagel and my fiancé got the chicken BLT. Huge slides of meat on both sandwiches, and on the BLT, the avocado was free!! We will definitely come back!!

This place has the best breakfast bagels. Freshly cracked egg with bacon and cheese. I also tried their New York style Reuben, and my sister got the Philly cheesesteak - amazing. Check this place out.

This was the best breakfast spot. I went 3 days in a row. The gentleman who was the owner was there everyday making the best bagels ever! I had the cucumber and tomato on an everything bagel to days in a row and the sausage and egg sandwich the third day. Everything was to die for! I wish I had more time to taste the whole menu. The egg salad looked so good and the jalapeño cream cheese was freshly made.

This unassuming spot is amazing for us NYC transplants. My born-in-new york husband said his BEC on everything was “actually not bad” which is about the highest compliment he can give. Tons of cheese, bagel was perfectly toasted, just delicious.

One of the true tests of a business is its relationship with the community. Who are the people that come in regularly and how do you treat them? This place treats them like family. While I was there, multiple people came in and the chef knew their names and what they wanted. You could tell he truly appreciated their business.

Now, onto the food: it’s great. I came here at the recommendation of a friend that they had great breakfast sandwiches and I was blown away. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and you can taste it. My egg sausage and cheese bagel was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.

This is a great family owned business. They care about quality and they take an old school approach to customer service, meaning that they actually care about what they do. Jim is always ready with a smile and conversation. Places like this need to be supported as they are a dying breed. Everything here is good from the bagels and coffee to the sandwiches.

Fantastic bagel sandwiches prepared by a very friendly owner. Very close to the Palo Alto Caltrain Station.

Here's your New York style bagel & coffee place, just walking distance from the train station and Palo Alto downtown.

His breakfast bagel sandwich will forever change the way you look at egg & cheese bagels. Truly the best in the world and even after moving away from Palo Alto 5 years ago, I think about them regularly.

Worth taking a trip from wherever you are in the Bay Area to get one.

Classic spot. Just moved here and HAD to find a Lox/Bagel place near by. So excited to see this NY style shop. Owner is very kind. Great portion of lox on the bagel. Perfectly toasted. Ate it fresh right outside. So happy to find a New York style deli in the neighborhood!

Great place and service. I always support small businesses and this place has been there for a long time.
