This is is my family's go to place for medical care for our families. They are always busy that if you are a new client, it take awhile to get an appointment, and they are not outfitted for emergency care (I go to ocean avenue for emergencies) . The doctors and staff are very kind and compassionate. They don't try to upsell anything. This past year we had to put down both our dog and one of our cats. They were so kind and supportive and professional.

Dr. Adam is the owner of Healthy Pets. Doctor Adam is like a Scientist. This good review is only for Doctor Adam. My dog (pomeranian) had a stroke. After 5 days in the ER, the Emergency Room took $10,000 from me. After I paid they decided to tell me "Oh, by the way, your dog is paralyzed and you should euthanize him". Well, I didn't kill my dog, instead I took him to Doctor Adam to rehabilitate him.
Doctor Adam had my beloved dog walking in 3 months. He also fixed my dog's vertigo, controlled and balanced his diabetes and cured my other dog (pug) of cancer. He also applied cold laser treatment on the pug's back to alleviate her herniated disk (it worked). All treatments are Western and Eastern medicine combined. I HIGHLY RESPECT Doctor Adam. Doctor Adam is truly a GENIUS. I have learned so much from him and he has changed me and made me a better, respectful person and a wiser one. He even gave me a Canine Biology book as a Christmas gift. He is HONORABLE and an incredibly AMAZING Doctor. 🙏🔬👨‍🔬❤🐕🐾

Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! They take the BEST care of our 2 Goldens. Dr. Adam is beyond exceptional, and we could not be happier with the care our 2 girls get coming here!!!

Love this place. Great staff. Wonderful doctors. I like that they support a more holistic approach. Combining that with Western medicine, I know I’m giving my dog the best.

Four years too late on this review, but time has confirmed my impressions. I'm writing this now because I just adopted another animal (in another city) and have been going through the online review research process in my current local area. Apologies for not writing sooner. I found Healthy Pets in 2018 after having bad experiences with two other vet practices in town. Unfortunately, my little guy was terminally ill with cancer and didn't last long, but we got the best palliative care possible, with good explanations, and without unrealistic expectations. Dr. Adam really is the "pet whisperer", and it's evident in the way he handles patients. I wish all the human doctors I've had in my life would have had Dr. Adam's bedside manor. Some people just have the gift, and he has it. I even went back for a consult with Dr Adam after my buddy passed to discuss prevention of a health issue that probably contributed to my pet's untimely demise. I can say that his advice has paid off with my new pet. I split time in SF and another location, traveling with my pet, and Dr Adam is definitely the first choice if my guy needs to see the vet in SF. I may even bring him in just because! Independent veterinarians, like independent physicians, are finding it harder and harder to stay in business without selling out to Mars (VCA) or Thrive (look what happened in Oakland with Montclair in April 2022!), and it's refreshing to come to Healthy Pets and not have to deal with the corporate machine.

Location is easy to find with much parking. I took my Maltipoo in for grooming and all the help went out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. Lobby is spacious and friendly. All the varied pets were the stars. They completed my Sebastian very nicely. And without a trip to the cleaners. Thank you, Anna (head of grooming). I'll be back, I'm sure.

I've been coming to Healthy Pets since Dr. Adam opened.
I've always found the clinic very clean, well equipped and the staff & Dr.s very professional, caring and knowledgeable.
When the time came to put to rest my 16yr old Schnauzer, all the staff of Healthy pets gave me comfort and support. They were professional and compassionate which made the very painful experience a little more tolerable. Dr. Taylor was a god sent.
If you love your pets and want the best care for them, I strongly recommend Healthy Pets.

We love the approach of evidence-based medicine couple with alternative (i.e., safer, conservative, natural) care. Our doctor was a sweetheart and even emailed us later about the effectiveness and safety of an alternative care she was less familiar with. It took us about 5 vets in the San Francisco Bay area to find one we truly like. I have a feeling you won't be disappointed with any of the vets here.

If you are looking for the very best care for your pet, this is the place to be!! We've going here since it 1st opened. Dr Adam is one of the finest, knowledgeable and empathetic vets I've ever worked with. They have taken sensational care of my 2 American Eskimo family members. When he was just 6, our older one, Zeke, was diagnosed with a tumor on his liver, non-malignant, but still inoperable. The prognosis (which was correct) was that it would continue to grow until it eventually interfered with his other organs. Our prior vet didn't give us much hope for his extended survival past 6 months or so. We went to see Dr Adam. Between holistic supplements and special diets, Zeke lived for 6 more Years. He didn't even seem to know he was sick, till finally one day the tumor started to bleed. The next day, Healthy Pets let us spend our final time in the room with him, so that he was in our arms they compassionately put him to sleep. But Healthy Pets enable us to have 6 extra wonderfully normal years with Zeke. Dr Taylor, who is another superb & caring vet, also played a significant role in carrying for both Zeke & Dahlia.

I have only been here for the holistic vet services. Dr. Adam has been a great resource for my dog's back problems. I came here wanting to try acupuncture but he recommended cold laser therapy first, which seemed to have worked well for my dog. I only wanted for her to be in less pain and not dependent on drugs. The technicians who performed the laser sessions and the office staff have all been great. We went back a year and a half later for a check-up because she seemed a little less mobile. She will be getting another short series of laser therapy but at least she's not completely dependent on it and can have a relatively normal life.

Love Dr. Lauren and all the Technicians who have been caring for my Himalayan Cat over 10 years. The place is clean and staff always friendly.

Really great service. Liz helpled me with my dog who had eaten something potentially dangerous got his stomach. She was kind and precise and I am grateful to this clinic. Thank you.

My children will go nowhere else. There are healthy little creatures and worth every penny. Pets are expensive, especially if you feed them garbage and don't get them checked up regularly.

I've taken Dulce here since day 1. They keep her healthy and provide many natural options for things. They also work with folks who come in and provide non anesthetic teeth cleaning, which is great.

Dr Emily and her team took care of my two dogs! They are very personable and will help with payment options or insurance.
