Great Italian Delicatessen. It's been there since the early forties. Great sandwiches. You can also purchase a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. The IPA beers are excellent, 7.2% alcohol. They have Italian licorice which is soft and has a brown color and they use molasses in it it's excellent. If you haven't been to this place I suggest you go.

Love love LOVE Zoccoli's sandwiches. They also have tons of other snacks and drinks and things.

Smallish indoor area, with some outdoor seating along the sidewalk. Nice place to grab food from if you're going for a picnic.

Pull a paper number and wait to be called to order. Then go and pay. Fairly simple. Can get crowded, but totally worth going!

Parking can be difficult, but that's with anywhere downtown. There are metered spaces along both sides, and it's right near a big parking garage, too.

Stopped here for a quick lunch after a hike in the nearby state park on a Sunday afternoon. It was quite packed and rightfully so!

I ordered a hot Parmesam chicken sandwich as well as got some chocolate. The sandwich was good with a very generous chicken breast. Very very generous. I do not think I've ever eaten a sandwich that was so big. I also saw soups, salads on the menu. The restaurant is also a grocery store: they sell salami, cheese, Italian sweets, frozen dumplings, and etc. Even though there is a lot going on, the shop does not feel crowded at all, the lines go fast, and the employees are very polite.

I'll definitely come back again to buy more

This is by far one of the best delis I have ever been to. I got one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had washed it down with a couple Peroni and a bag of chips. They had a lot of options on the menu, good sides, a large assortment of beverages, and a friendly wait staff. The girl who took my order, made a recommendation to change the bread on the sandwich I ordered, and I think it made a huge difference. We sat outside on the Santa Cruz Street and enjoyed the area. I would 100% go back to Santa Cruz just for this spot. The best part was pricing was affordable and parking was decent.

Great sandwiches at a reasonable price. Friendly staff, quick service, clean and well organized store. Highly recommended. This will be our regular sandwich shop when we are in the area from now on.

I was informed about this deli, so I decided to visit there for lunch for the very first time the other day. I ordered one of my favorite sandwiches, which is a bloody red roast beef, with extra meat. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The meat was great tasting just super delicious. I also included in my order a bag of chips and a large coke, and a small bowl of fruit. The place was crowded, but it did not take long at all for me to place my order and get my sandwiched. Probably 10 minutes max. be returning to order another great tasting roast beef sandwich.

This little shop is just fantastic from. The ambiance to the exceptionally friendly and quick service. If you ha e not eaten here I highly recommend it and if you so eat here it is easily a top of your list to return.

Here for a family wedding. I am from Florida, and my nephew was in charge of finding the best places for food and lunch was on the hunt. We decided on sandwiches and he found Zoccoli's. We found street parking and headed inside. It was a busy place but it was quick and easy to order. I got the BLT with avocado. There is plenty of tables outside but we opted to go back to our hotel to eat in the beautiful courtyard. I was so happy with my selection. The bacon was crispy and the tomato, lettuce and avocado were selected for the makings of the perfect combination. The rest of my family loved their sandwiches too. This is definitely a go-to sandwich shop. Btw- it's a little store too, so getting chips, chocolate or something else is an option.

What's for lunch? Zoccoli's Italian Deli. Another local fav with the best sandwiches and bread. I go back and forth between a basic turkey sandwich, but today I was craving a French dip. This deli is awesome, they have a variety of specialty sandwiches, desserts, cheese, and even wine. They are located in downtown Santa Cruz at the end near the town clock.

They do get crowded at lunch time so you may want to look online and pre-order so you don’t have to wait too long when you arrive.

This place has amazing sandwiches I tried eggplant and chicken Parmesan- freshest soft bread , nicely done eggplant and chicken with right amount of sauce and cheese . They do have good collection of local beers . The cherry on the cake is very very warm and welcoming people ….. it will make you smile and your tummy too..😀😀😀

In Santa Cruz for a one night get-away, my fiance and I embarked on a hilarious and fun filled scavenger hunt. On our first challenge, I noticed a line out the door of a Sandwich shop. Knowing that this is usually a sign of really good food, I noted the name. Well, right after we finished the game, we drove right back to Zoccoli's! The line went very quickly and after scanning the list of sandwiches, I ordered the Muffaletta and a Dill pickle. I was SO excited, just for the fact that they had it on the menu!! The order & pay situation is a little confusing, but I didn't care; they make Muffaletta!! LOL. I paid and waited for about 7-8 minutes and got my order. The sourdough bread was soft and had a great flavor. The meats/cheese and the olive tapenade were all fresh and plentiful. It was made almost as good as back home in Louisiana! The Dill pickle was crisp, fresh and so good. I can hardly wait to go back and try something else. This deli is the REAL DEAL.

Great pastrami sandwich- really good quality ingredients and fresh. Generous with meat and avocado. The tritip sandwich was tasty too. Plenty of parking half a block away

Local favorite, plenty of tables to sit outdoors. They allow you to use the bathroom which is a godsend in these weird times. They have a ton of delicious sandwiches that are healthy portions and it is very inexpensive (almost all sandwiches are $8.95) so it’s definitely affordable! Come get some!

Got Reuben and was very happy with it. Staff is friendly and it has a very chill vibe (Well! We are in Santa Cruz after all 😝).

Great atmosphere, down to earth italian deli. If you're in from out of town it's at the end of the downtown area which is perfect after a long walk of shopping. The order process is well executed (take a number) Prices are very reasonable, especially for Cali. Best of all, the food is excellent.

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had love this place old school sandwich shop vibe with tons of great food. Got a pumpkin cheesecake piece hats off to the cook.

The sandwich I had was fantastic!! The pasta salad was bland and wet. I didn't even mind eating at a sidewalk table with dogs barking because the sandwich was great!!

I wish I would have taken before photos. Very clean organized Italian Deli. Staff was super polite and helpful. I ordered turkey on ciabatta bread. Deeeelicous! Everything was so fresh. That Was my first time, but definitely not my last. I'm from fresno and it reminds me of our Sam's Deli here. Can't wait to go back there.

Had the meatball sub. This place is delish! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff. My partner had the GF vegan option and loved it as well.
