Mariposa Park

Quiet local neighborhood park. Small park but play structure and lawn are actually pretty big for a smaller park. They have some information posted on the posts about butterflies as you walk the path through the flowers. Park benches throughout to sit and relax, picnic tables, bike racks, and a sand pit with a rock and water feature.

I’m not sure why I have not posted a review about this park. We’ve been coming to this park for almost 8 years.

There’s ample shade from the trees and the play structures are great. There are two play structures- one for 2-5 and the other for older children. There is a small sand area to play in. You can see your child from any angle from within the park.

There are no bathrooms at this park, since it’s a small neighborhood park.

Nice playgrounds for different age groups with a butterfly theme. No restroom though.

Clean, beautiful little park. Very nice and filled with butterfly decor. I stayed with my friend who lives nearby and you constantly hear the sound of children screaming and crying because they don’t want to leave the park. So I guess that’s a good sign! Just bring ear plugs and tissues for your departure.

Great little park with butterfly themed equipment. It’s very clean and well kept. There’s swings, play scape, sand area to dig in, cement caterpillars to climb on, and picnic tables to eat at. Will definitely go back!

Very nice park to bring young kids too. Has swings and slides and the surface, instead of being concrete, is a soft foam/plastic surface around the play areas, perfect for little kids who are just learning to walk.

One of my favorite parks for the kids. "Mariposa"-themed, i.e. butterfly in Spanish, so look for all the butterfly motives. Two play structures, one for young toddlers. Sand-pit has built-in water saving faucet (spring-loaded) which is so fun for the kids. Many sitting areas for adults, and picnic tables too. Large lawn area for spreading out.

Parking is tricky as Mariposa Ave is narrow and some residents also park on the street.

Has lots of trees, a nice play structure with three slide types based on ages. There were nice concerts caterpillar benches, swing set and a sand box.

Cute park. Nice place for a picnic on the grass or short throws of a frisbee. Very small kids tend to love it.

Perfectly pleasant little park. Places for kids to play, families to picnic, and couples to linger on the thick, shaded grass.
