Bistro Tupaz

Bistro Tupaz was a nice surprise. It is a restaurant in a small shopping mall of Santa Teresa serving French and European dishes. I had a bavette steak you don't easily find in restaurants and it was delicious. Even if it was slightly overcooked, the meat was tender and tasty. Cassoulet was great. We had fresh beignets for dessert, a true treat with warm chocolate sauce. Friendly service, as it was my husband's birthday we also left with an extra raspberry pie at no charge. Highly recommended for good food without breaking your budget.

Last week my wife and I had a really nice dinner here. Nice menu, great food, superb service, reasonable prices, easy parking. Non-chain “Fine” dining options are scarce in S. San Jose, so this was a good discovery for us; we’ll likely visit again.

The best burgers in San Jose. Fried calamari were delicious as well. Staff is friendly, food is well prepared and quickly served. First time here and I love this place. Highly recommended

Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Shoutout to Genie for being a great waitress. Shame that more people don’t dine in, but good to know their business is booming.

I came in with a group of my family (4 in total) and we were surprised by the atmosphere and menu. We ordered the fish & chips (light, not bathed in batter, flakey), the hamburger (freshly ground beef & homemade everything except the ketchup), the shrimp and chips (juicy shrimp and well seasoned fries) & the Chicken Parmesan (looking delicious and plenty of chicken). The prices for all of this were reasonable and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about what they served. Definitely coming back here soon.

Food was delicious and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely come back to try all their menu options. I had the shrimp Alfredo pasta, highly recommend.

What a great find! Fresh homemade food with a European twist! My son had never had homemade pasta and he loved it and is a very picky eater. Great burgers. Excellent onion soup. Will be our go to place to eat!

Good price and food. They have a lots of games to keep kids busy, while adults can enjoy their meal.

Definitely a hidden gem, South San Jose's best kept secret! The food is ridiculously good! It's not necessarily fancy fare, but it's like they know HOW TO COOK. Textures, tastes.... My dad got the fish and chips... And there was fish in them there fish and chips! The batter was light and flaky - wow. Between the burger, chicken Parm sandwich, and risotto, the fish won that day. I absent-mindedly put a French fry in my mouth - and did a double take. I hadn't expected to care one way or the other and had wanted the sweet potato fries (great too) - but these were the best fries ever! When the weather warms, EAT OUTSIDE - out the back!

Small, woman-owned neighborhood restaurant gem! Home made baked yummies and fresh ingredients in all their dishes. We enjoyed their steak salad, French onion soup and papardelle pasta, both the alfredo and tomato sauce dishes. All super fresh and delicious. Save room for their warm beignets for dessert. Service was friendly, warm and efficient. We'll be back for sure!

A wonderful gem in south San Jose. The food was delicious and the owners were friendly and accommodating to our large party. We had some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free guests in our party and they made something special for each. Note that we let them know several days in advance and they were spot on with our requests. Thank you Bistro Tupaz for everything.

Take out or dine in. The food is very good. The co da vin or Shepard pie I tried, and I absolutely enjoyed! This is a safe place to try new foods or stick with favorites.

I ordered a pasta alfredo for delivery, it was very good and dare I say their garlic bread was the best I've ever had, can't wait to go meet them, what a great meal.

Absolutely delicious but the restaurant space isn't great. I'm constantly surprised at how delicious the food is compared to the space it's served in. It's clean but drab. It's also weird to get your own utensils and water. The food is 5 stars, the restaurant is 4. Perfect for families but not really a date spot.

Great little gem. This is a very nice family bistro that serves great food. Their plates are very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. They are reasonably priced and they also serve delicious desserts.
Highly recommended!
